  1. No...he wasn't even on the sideline with the team (as he has been) against Fayette Ware the other night. I'm almost positive that I saw him through the double door in the hallway outside the gym...interesting.

    yes it is interesting
  2. My question: Will the issues at Douglass, Manassas, and Hamilton stop the teams from going to state??? Its gonna be hard to win 7 road games.

Hamilton will not have a problem because they Will most.likely win district then be the 1 seed in regionals Manassas really misses Nesby he was the only returning starter from last season I don't see them going to the state Douglass has a little bit of a better but I don't think they make it either
  3. All you do is act like its one isolated incident when in fact this is the 3rd one in as many years. This was the kids 5th year at the same high school!!!! Hello they knew what they were doing. You insult our intelligence to act like this only happened once. Win at all cost is what you're about, cheat as long as you can get away with it and then act like someone else has a problem instead of placing blame where it belongs! I'm very up to date on the age rule and when you can hold someone back based on when their birthday is. If you hold them back before the 7th grade, no eligibility is lost you hold them back in the 7th or 8th grade and you lose your freshman year, but then they are allowed to play the remaining 3 years. As long as they turn 19 after September 1st they are eligible as long as they haven't exceeded the number of semesters given to a high school athlete.

UC IM with you on this one and I know little bit about the situation let's just say they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar
  4. If he's in his 5th year he's pretty close to 20! He certainly isn't 17 or 18 thats for sure! I have no doubt that there are some great coaches there and we all know there are some phenomenal athletes there and I'm ok with that, beat us straight up and you deserve to win but don't cheat the kids that are doing it the right way and playing by the rules that they are suppose to, thats all i'm saying.

I can agree with you I'm all for fairness but just don't put a jacket on my whole city cause of a few cases that's all I'm saying cause we have some here doing it the right way also
  5. Another Memphis school caught cheating..... Manassas is the 2nd of the year and i'm sure its just the tip of the iceberg. Like i said no wonder they win, they are playing 20+ year old men against boys. Not fair people! :popcorneater:

the kids in question are not 20+ Uc that was one incident and that kid was not 20+ he got a GED in Louisiana and enrolled in school here now yes it's wrong that a kid getting caught playing In his 5th YEAR of highschool is costing the other kids on the team who are working hard but it's not every school here that's doing it we have some.up standing coaches here
  6. mcon,

how does the city championship work and when is it? DIstrict 16A is a tough one to figure out because everyone doesn't play everyone else.

The City championship works with District 16 A being spilt in two with 8 teams on each side the two teams with the best record from each side play for the City championship it should be this Sunday
  7. mcon,

how does the city championship work and when is it? DIstrict 16A is a tough one to figure out because everyone doesn't play everyone else.

The City Champion is given the one seed and the winner up is given the 2 seed after that everyone is else ranked by district record
  8. How many times is T$$AA going to allow kids in the Memphis area that are in their 20's to play high school basketball? All we hear about is how good Memphis basketball is and granted there are some great players there but how many of them are too old? 50%? 40%? Its not hard to beat 17 year olds with 20 something's. How many are transferring illegally? 80%? 70% higher/lower?

Do you have any proof of this if u do please let me know I'll be waiting
  9. Fact is, he was playing very well against the nation's best. The kid has top notch talent but he has a problem prioritizing the things in his life that allows him to play. I hope he gets it together soon. I was looking forward to seeing him play D1

He was not the only one to leave from down they have something going on with NCAA Approving some of their kids courses two kids from there one at Florida and the other at Oklahoma ruled ineligible this year
  10. It looks like Hamilton will be joining Douglass.....

Yes very unfortunate as they have made it to #2 in the Country But the Baker kid is probably too old I know he was at Houston when a partner of mines was teaching over there then he went to Westwood but never played over when Hamilton got he was not actually in school he was playing at the park across from the school and someone saw him then Lawson Sr got him in school
  11. Culbreath isn't a true pg and at his size, colleges don't want that but Chad, to me, is the BEST scorer in the STATE

That He is. in college u can get away wIth 2 small guards. on the mid major level he would be successful . I know Jerry over at Southwest offered him so hopefully he goes their top 10 juco program and he sends players to four year schools
