Huge disadvantage to those teams who don't play sectional until Saturday. Aces will probably not be able to go on Tuesday in state. Which also implies ace would not be able to pitch twice Tuesday and Friday

Happened to Houston last year. Ace had to throw on Sunday against Arlington and wasnt available Tuesday or Wed. Didn't end up mattering, but it still puts you in a bind

-
How good is this arm from Sevier County? Can he go into Farragut and win on Friday night?
-
My guess on the winners
SH
DB
Farragut
HV
BC
Ooltewah
Siegle
LC
Mt Juliet
Gallatin
Summit
Ravenwood
Munford (big upset)
Bartlett
Houston
Cville
-
Who is the team to beat? I would assume Farragut, because they are always the team to beat. West TN looks like Houston and Arlington will be the teams to beat on Friday night.
-
What all went wrong for Farragut?
-
Sounds like sour grapes
-
Should be a good one. Both west TN teams got tough draws for Game 1
-
Raby threw 148 Friday night for Farragut. Wonder if they bring him back Tueaday so he can throw Friday if they make it, or hold him off until Wednesday
-
Bartlett beat Arlington again
that wasnt an upset
-
Guess Monday answered my question
-

*Picks are highlighted
Overall- (11-5)
Picks- (11-5)
I dont have any idea about anyone other than Region 7 and 8, but I disagree with both your picks. I think Bartlett gets Arlington tonight and I think Houston gets Collierville. No idea the pitching match ups in either, but I doubt Collierville throws a top arm at Houston and I think Bartlett will throw a better arm then Arlington...but I could obviously be completely wrong

From what the AAA scoreboard reads:
SD over Cookeville
Wilson Central over Rossview
Ravenwood over John Overton (may not be an upset)
Munford over Bartlett
As usual some good teams won't be at the Fling this year due to Elimination Monday.
Bartlett won...not sure why thats wrong
-
Wednesday night will be a huge night for the teams. Teams will be playing for more than just home field...they will be playing to avoid certain arms for certain teams
-
Baseball should never be 1 and done. 7AAA plays 3 game series and a double elimination bracket, no play in game.
Alabama and Mississippi do it right the way they p[lay 3 game series...Tennessee is the most backwards state when it comes to baseball state tournament
-
Arlington will have their hands full with Dyer County more than likely...should be a really good one
-
Back to back state appearances, and a top 5 ranking in coachT and coaches poll this season...does that qualify?
I have already named all the real teams in West Tennessee, so if you didn't see your school, then no.
-
Oakland and Farragut had a stand off last year when they played
dont bring facts to this argument

Speed up the game? By what 30 seconds to at most a minute. You do realize the teams are taking the field and the pitcher is starting to throw while the last few kids stand on the foul lines .
Anybody who thinks the TSSAA is on the side of the kids needs to think again. They are in the business of making money and whatever rule that can get them closer to the fine will be implemented. And yes baseball is boring so anything the kids/players can do to make it entertaning for themselves or even bring all these posts to this forum must be working. There is a pretty good chance the coaches have addressed it and now guess what...on to something else the kids will think of or reenact from the college game or MLB or wherever else they learn this stuff from. They will then take it to their teams, but at least they are having fun and being a kid. Silly, right? And sorry if I clumped your team into the west TN baseball group and I was only mentioning teams that are successful year in and year out.
-
Don't clump everyone in the west with those teams you mention. Baseball is a game, but you represent your school and community when wearing the uniform, and showing the absence of decorum to have a "staredown" after the anthem should be punished. If the yelling and noisemaking from the dugout is in a positive manner, and directed toward teammates it's fine...if it's "trash talk" or directed at the ump, I'd be fine with punishment for that as well.
-
Have you ever watched their antics during a game? Yelling at the opposing pitcher, the umpire, and talking trash from the dugout is as bush league as it gets.
This is comical...Yelling at the opposing pitcher is bush league??? If so then every team around west Tennessee is bush...I guess Bobby Cox is pretty bush league as well, because he yelled at the umpire all the time. And what kind of trash are they spewing from the dugout?
I really enjoy watching Houston play the game...they play hard while also having tons of fun. Houston, Bartlett, Collierville, Arlington, CBHS all "yell" at the opposing pitcher and are loud in the dugout. I guess everyone in the west in bush league.
-
I'm SO surprised that Riverdale participated in this... Oh wait. Talk about the most bush league team in the state, although Houston annually gives them a run for their money.
What has Riverdale or Houston done to be considered bush league?
