1. yet agsin D2 does not matter  :D . MUS 11 McCallie 7

thats quite a bold statement. i wouldn't under estimate ravenwood. as i recall they only lost to MBA (a big 3 team) 7-5. D2 has come a long way. as a D2 player i don't appreciate being treated as second class. of course i could be misreading your statement.

  2. Mus-9 McCallie-7

    Ravenwood-11 Cordova/Lausanne-6

    ravenwood-16 Cordova/Lausanne-5

i dont think ravenwood will have much trouble putting in goals against Cordova/Lausanne's defense

  3. FYI- Reynolds is at the University of Tennessee and is not playing lacrosse.

Good to hear that Rudolph is playing d3 lacrosse. As for Reynolds, sounds like he is just a waste of talent by not playing college ball. I wouldv'e liked to see another d2 high school player play at the next level.

"How would you play today if you couldn't play tomorrow?"

i could be wrong and this is kind of pointless to even point out but i thought that limestone was D2.

  4. To All Lax Players,

Why do people get on here and rag on other players?  Everyone on the field is giving 110% and for someone to turn around and bash a player for giving his all is ridiculus and bad sportsmanship.  If anyone ever wants to say something about another player at least have the guts to say it to his face not post it on an internet message board.

    To "WestKnox",

I chose to play for Franklin because that is where I go to school and for my Senior year I wanted to wear Franklin colors.  I started on the Centennial/Franklin team both my Sophmore and Junior year and for my Senior year I was offered the choice of where to play and I chose Franklin.

P.S.  I think WestKnox is talking about being hit by the ball not by my stick.  I hardly ever go for the homerun check.

finally someone said it. you're a good man jensen.

  5. personally i find that if i get too pumped up i play worse than if my head is clear and i can think about what i need to do.(i was kidding about norah jones earlier although she is good.)

  6. If it was a home run check on the arm from regression thats understandable.  But i watched jensen play a lot of games with the centennial team last year and its unfair to call him a reject.  From what i've seen, jensen plays the game skillfully and uses his big frame to his advantage to play physically.  Not being there, i cannot comment on your teamates arm injury, but personally, i enjoy waking up the next morning with my triceps being 3 times as big and a bruise to show off to the ladies. thats just the physical aspect of the game.

jensen is a former teammate of mine and a pretty good friend. he is not by any means a centennial reject. he was a player we valued greatly because of his on and off field contributions to our team. i have to agree with donttalkjustplay by saying he is a great player.

  7. Barnes is much more physical.  I think they may be equal in talent but Barnes is sort of a hot head,  McConnell seems to clear better and have better stick skills.

McConnell is also great because he is smart in the goal. He is totally aware of how a player will try to exlpoit him , and uses that to his advantage. I totally trust him in the cage.

  8. Actually, hixsontennis may have something here.  Lassiter is all about TN.  Atlanta is trying to prove itself as the next hotbed, and figure they need to go through TN to get there.  Lassiter has MUS, MBA, and McCallie on their schedule.  Westminster just returned from a trip to Nashville, with wins against MBA and USN.  Westminster has McCallie to play also.  They love talking smack down there.

    my mistake

  9. The whole Lassiter High School team from Marietta, Georgia. They are amazing, and they have 2 all-americans returning for this season. And 4 all-state players.

i thought this forum was about tennessee lacrosse

  10. i dunno about this year but next year...Ravenwood High is moving up to D1 and will own all opponents.... :P

    825612237

    now thats a bold statement

  11. Matt Turner - VMI- Long stick middie has seen playing time should see more now that starter is injured (Freshmen)

Jason Rudolph - Limestone - 4 assists in 2 games (Freshmen)

    825609299

matt turner played for centennial and i think jason rudolph played for cordova

  12. Lets get some thoughts about Division II. All we ever read about around here is how great DI is. Thoughts about DII stand out players, teams, and coaches. Who will take DII Championship?

    825594536

from what ive heard ravenwood should be pretty good this year

  13. What exactly are you saying? That since franklin and centennial have split Brentwood isnt a D2 Power?

Its the total opposite, the split of FHS and CHS was not a good thing IMO. You take the good seasoned players from Centennial and split them up. Now Franklin is untrained and unskilled. Centennial lost 10+ players mostly Seniors and Juniors.

    825581422

sorry, it was my first post. i didnt mean to quote the post before mine. i meant to simply state that since franklin and centennial split, more than likely neither one of them will be very dominant this year. sorry about that.
