I would like to add that Midway fought from start to finish. I was highly impressed with Bertram. She plays with a lot of heart and has the skill to go with it. Someone's season had to end tonight And I hope they know they have nothing to hang their heads about.

Final: South Greene over Midway 71-46. Let's go to state!!!!

Bearden had a couple players out during the Ladies Classic when Morristown West beat them so I thought this might be a closer game than that one. But I'm with you, I think Mo. West wins, especially with Geer injured.

Thank you for weighing in and giving another side to the story. I have no dog in the race. I haven't been to an Elizabethton game in years since the team I support is no longer in the same district. I just commented what I heard on WJHL. And it was very brief. Quick video of students holding signs and the "bull and horns." Lol.

He is a great guy and a great coach. I'll post updates from South Greene as well. Thanks.

The students were even mentioned on WJHL last night. He said, "but when you mess with the bull you get the horns." In reference to Elizabethton overcoming and leaving it on the court.

Betsy wins. Especially at home. Expect GP to be VERY physical, especially when they're behind and frustration sets in. Hopefully you won't experience what you did with Grainger fans, but they do make some noise. Being on your home floor and having control from your own administration should help contain that if it does happen.

If North Greene is making their shots, they can really turn it on and could make a good game of it. They also bring a huuuuge, intimidating crowd. I really don't know how that game will go. Having not seen Harriman, it is hard for me to make a call on that one, but I'm thinking it will be a close one. SG is playing amazing right now. They blew through the regional tournament like it was a game of Candy Land. Tonight was by far their toughest game and they won by 38. They look like they have never wanted anything more. If they keep that intensity up, they will breeze by Midway and will be a force to be reckoned with at state.

That is pretty much what I'm thinking as well.

North Greene played them close in the District Championship. The lady Rebels did not look like themselves. They shot around 35% compared to their normal 50%+. IF, and I do emphasize IF, they play to their full capabilities, they will win for the 5th time. It may very well be a good one. My biggest question is can both teams make it to state?

South Greene and North Greene will meet for the 5th time Wednesday night in the region 1-A championship. NG made a game out of it in the district championship before falling behind in the 4th qtr. Any opinions from 3-A on how the Substate games will go? Who do you believe will be hosting between Harriman and Midway and how do they stack up against 1-A?

South Greene came out with the win in a close one with North Greene. Final was 51-44.
