Think about it. Who wouldn't pull the trigger on that hire? Especially given the FACT he wanted the job, said it was his dream job, had a 10 year plan, and told folks he would never leave for money.

It will be interesting to see what they do / hire because Vic is assistant principal and AD . Don’t know what teaching position open but I can’t imagine hiring anyone as assistant principal that not ever been associated with the school. That would rattle some cages. Will be fun to watch! You know I ain’t joking!

I'm all for giving kids a 2nd chance. What I want to see is lives changed and he end up playing for Penn State and not for the State Penn after he graduates.......That's what ole Captn Crunch needs to focus on rather than winning ballgames. I ain't joking either!

The younger classes at SP are homegrown. Those kids have been good for a very long time.
What grade are some of those homegrown 8th graders supposed to be in? I ain't joking either.

I guess you missed the part where I suggested to the Jasperite that they merge with Whitwell to form North Marion. Plus, those numbers for Whitwell look low. Whitwell has been in and out of 2a a couple of times over the past 4 or so reclassifications. However, do you think the Whitwell athletes would add enough to Jasper to make them much better than the are now in a higher classification? Lastly, nowhere have I been for consolidation of all 3 high schools over the past 13 years I have been on here.
I don't think when they combine all 3 schools there will be enough athletes to compete for several years.

When you merge with Whitwell to form the North Marion County Dingle Berries, you will be playing 4a or 5a ball.
Marion County High School 550 kids
South Pittsburg 200 kids
Whitwell 300 kids
That's 1050 kids. That's 3a same size as Sequatchie County.

I believe he is a good coach and have supported him even as a pirate fan, but this isn't the way to do things. Unless, these other schools are falsely reporting something then it seems he has been trying to make a move.

It looks to me that he is behind on this reporting. Apparently several other news outlets had reported it earlier this week as well. Stay or go either way is fine, but this doesn't look good either way.
No it doesn't look good. But all of us are always looking for that dream job. CRR is the only one that knows what he is going to do. I will support him either way. It's a great day to be a Warrior!

The point clearly sailed over your head. One has put in time at the school and was a known entity at that school whereas it would seem little Ricki would be getting football affirmative action. The other thing is certification. I guess it would depend on what he had when he got there from Gawga.
Understand perfectly what you were saying. Marion doing what they have to do if they want to keep there coach. Sp did what it had to do to keep its coach. I don't see the problem.
