You are not correct, it's an athletic record in any sport sponsored by TSSAA.
Start on page 16 about transfer.

I was correct as usual.

Boo Carter transferred in the winter to Brainerd and now again?
His twitter is still Brainerd. But check out his twitter, 5 star, #1 Athlete in TN, ESPN Top 300. Tells me Boo Carter is out for 1 person- and that's him. Don't get me wrong, he is a player and legit with all the accolades he has, but why transfer? Not sure winning a TEAM state championship is high on his list. But if it is, then props to him.
TSSAA needs to dig in their heels on this- Kid playing for 3 teams in less than 12 months, doesn't seem right. And if this happens and they do nothing, open the gates boys, transfer every year in high school. Form mega teams, just like the current NCAA FBS.
Its BS, it's gonna ruin high school football for the above average high school student athlete.
Boo would not be eligible to play at Brainerd because it is too close to his old school. That's why he transferred to BC

TC 97 team was special. They didnt have a single standout as they were all studs! Honestly, it would have been hard pressed to find a team in the state to beat them. I still remember seeing Scruggs run down the tail back from the back side DE spot for a loss. For those that dont know, Mr. Scruggs played at 6'4 275ish range as a guess. He may have been heavier. The only problem with the stats previously stated, they starters typically only played 2 quarters. And someone mentioned them punting to Monterey on 1st down, truth i saw it.
Did Scruggs and Payne ever play in college?

Surely Maryville can find a top out of state school to play..

Surely Alcoa can find a top out of state team to play.

Not enough talent in this state to justify 6 classes in basketball and 9 classes in football.

BREAKING: 2024 IMG 4-star WR Brandon Winton Jr will head back to Tennessee and attend Alcoa High School (TN).
The star wide receiver was originally at The Webb School of Knox before transferring to IMG Academy (FL).
The transfer portal and NIL is always good for Alcoa .

This hire needs to be a very good recruiter.

For Oakland, not sure there is one that just sticks above the rest. Jordan James might change my mind in a few years if he has the career at Oregon I think he can, he was the perfect blend of power and speed that you would want from a tailback.
Woodi Washington should get consideration as well, truly a lockdown corner and has had a good career at Oklahoma, showing the kind of versatility that makes you invaluable to pro teams.
Oakland has been pretty blessed with good OL over the years, but I think Jack Jones stood above all of them. He looked the part, but he was a one man wrecking ball. Had injuries not derailed his career at UT, I think he would have done really well there and then play in the NFL.
As for unsung, the 2 names that come to mind are Wes Counts and Antonio Patterson. Counts played on some really bad Oakland teams in the mid 90s, was often the only bright spot. Was able to have a really good career at MTSU as they transitioned to FBS.
Patterson was RB2 on the Oakland teams that went back to back in 20 and 21. Would have started at just about anywhere else had he taken the easy out and transferred, likely could have won Mr. Football had he done so. Was a really good defender as well when needed
Is Patterson playing anywhere now?

I am just curious to see how Oakland's "unofficial visits" will pan out this week. They have hosted several kids from county schools...and I am sure he has his lead 'cruiters on the trail blowing up all the Blackman kids.
Have heard they have some nice NIL deals lined up.

Via the transfer portal. Big time commitment here.
