Would have a hard time seeing Daniels join Tygard at Blackman. Tygard called the plays while at Ravenwood under Daniels so there would in theory be no use.

This has to be one of if not the weakest region in 6A

Did Hester chase the athletes in Nolensville? Sure, but i would say the teams mostly comprised of kids from Brentwood not nolo. Also the draw of having Nolo middle school on campus and being able to groom the kids from 6th grade on to Senior year is a huge advantage.
Did he go for the money in Alabama? Yeah who wouldn’t. Tennessee underpays their coaches. Florence is also a newish school and he accomplished a good amount in little time.
Daniels accomplished more than he was expected to, but also was able to magically get Reggie Grimes and his dad over as well. Daniels is a fine high school coach.
Hester going back to Ravenwood is fine and he should be able to pick up right where he left off if the kids allow him to.
Also someone said something about Daniels being unaware of things going on in his program... Which head coach is just blind to things on with his team. You’re the head coach you know what’s going on and what’s not.

I don't believe the first part because he is very much regarded as a players coach. I do believe you are right about the "other things"
A players coach only with a select few that had a star or two next to their name. Trust me on this one. Many kids quit.

So what happen to Daniels?
Spending time with his daughter but I wouldn’t read too much into that. Heard rumblings players didn’t like him too much and some other things I won’t put on the T.

Just because a brentwood team that probably wouldn’t have been in the state game any other season doesn’t mean the game wasn’t always in cookeville.

Arlington is 3-12 in 12 appearances in the playoffs. Whoever is going there will have to bring his own culture. Don’t know of any front runners but having a big student population will be a plus.

Very good. Thank you. Impressive line of trophies by the team with the team with the M in the middle of their field.
Maryville is like if Ravenwoods best players went to play at Brentwood and Brentwood called their wins “impressive” while the rest of the county gets the leftover players and is absolute trash.

Brentwood is actually doing very good tonight against Oakland.
In la la land maybe, but this isn’t a participation award game. They’re getting smoked.

It’s high school football let’s not make this any deeper than it should be. 2020 Oakland vs 2020 Brentwood.

It's the only example, largely because their HC is the best in the state at sending his kids to colllege
and their team is littered with athletes that most coaches can only dream of having. Their biggest flaw in their program is the X’s and O’s and having an actual quarterback who can throw.

In case you missed that avatar, I'm a alum/fan of a pretty good program in 6A. Well aware of the differences. There maybe a handful of programs in 6A that have a (as in one) player that can influence a game like Wade can. Doesn't change the fact that Indy would have beaten anybody in 2015
Not blind, can see your oakland helmet. Indy in 2015 played absolutely nobody. hard to say when the best team they played was a down Hillsboro team. Not one game was even competitive for them. played nothing but county schools

An entire team with multiple power 5 offers? Wow, sounds like an NFL team. You wouldn’t exaggerate much, would ya? Lol Name me the teams who are made up entirely of guys with multiple high level offers. I’ll be waiting.
Whitehaven year in year out is one example of a team full of kids that can go play college ball. Would be a way better semifinal game for Summit (if they make it that far next year) then middle of nowhere henry county.

Except Summit will still have the Wade brothers. They are still going to be a factor. Indy's title team in 2015 would have won state in any classification. Won't surprise me at all to see Summit in the semis next year
The top end of 6A is significantly better then 5A. Need more than just a pair of twins when some 6A schools have an entire team with guys like them. Also dont think Indy has been anyone near a state game game since rejoining 6A...

Remember in ‘02 when Brentwood beat coach Gary Rankin and Riverdale in the title game... I think the stars will align tomorrow night for the Bruins to bring home another gold ball
The kids playing tonight we’re probably born in 2002. Nothing from then matters at all. This is 2020.

Summit is pretty much a 6A school playing in 5a this year. Same thing happened with Independence a few years back. They’ll come back down to earth in 6A next year.

Brentwood needed a fluke play to get out of the second round and had an easy path to the state game without a certain team on Elvis Presley blvd playing. This game won’t be close unless all of Oakland is out for covid-19.

And then annihilated by Oakland...
Oakland beats anyone this year. The only team that would’ve made it close imo would’ve been whitehaven.

Summit makes a second straight trip to the big game. The twins are only junior too. Wouldn’t be shocked to see them here again next year
Actually might be hard for them considering summit moves to 6a next year.

In the case of James, he transferred out of BA in the middle of the playoffs 2 years ago. I don’t know the reason.
could be anything from doesn’t like coach to doesn’t like having to get up early to drive far away for school. only he and his family knows

Ravenwood seems to attract D1 talent. Oakland does have top players but well coached.
Most of the talent at Ravenwood is from their backyard or the kids coming from out of state when parents get a new job. Saw someone say something about Ensworth BA kids going to Oakland/Blackman. Most of the time those kids are kicked out for various reasons and just attend the school their zoned for.
-
the haven would’ve been in Cookeville next week for sure.
-
Winner of this game gets the pleasure of getting throttled in the state game.
Also don’t think it’s one of the oldest rivalry’s in the state (county for sure) considering Brentwood has only been around since the 80s.
Ravenwood Recruiting Pipeline
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Eventually schools/programs recruit themselves. Wilco as a whole is a good county but Ravenwood is the premier football program. Some may disagree but 5 state appearances in 20 years of being a school gives you a silver/gold ball every 4 years.
