I think Webb has better talent after watching them a few games.  Saw them in Lebanon and they had third string in beating teams, their depth is phenomenal.

I heard they are an International team?………..  If so, they should have better talent than Bartlett.

  2. Pulled up Webb Bell Buckle University’s roster from their website……..Four starters are from foreign countries and one from New York!  Webb U must have really nice dorms to attract  that many star athletes from that distance………Are they playing for the TSSAA Gold ball or the USA SSAA Gold Ball?   Asking for a friend……………

just South of Middleton at little Walnut, Ms, junior guard Madilynn Vuncannon, 5-9, led state in scoring at 28.4 ppg on that site that has stats. Hit 41% of threes. Mom is head coach. Might be a good hire for somebody and bring along instant offense.

Webb Bell Buckle is always looking for ways to bring in folks!  I would have her contact their recruiting coordinator and housing administrator.

They could probably beat the Lady Vols. 6 ‘ 7 center and D-1 players everywhere. They put a new meat and 3 restaurant that is getting worldwide attention that has them all wanting to move there.

Looks like Webb University won their district and is on their way to winning the SEC championship!

I agree. 8-9 out of 10 times a team with D-1 talent all over the world is going to beat you bad. Always that 1 game where they play down to their competition or just not going to play hard and could let 1 slip away. Teams like us will play them probably more than once in off-season but I am glad we are not in the private world.

Webb Bell Buckle University!  What conference do they play in?  SEC or ACC?

Perhaps I'm being a homer, but I think next year will be a good one for USJ. Obviously, we are losing a lot of quality players, but I think we have players who are more than capable of replacing those who are leaving, which GTFan outlined well. DA will be stacked. NCS will be too. I think to pick us third in the region wouldn't be unreasonable. USJ returning to Cookeville is not out of the question. Indeed, a lot would have to go right for that to happen, but it is my opinion that USJ will be every bit as good next season.

Where do you predict USJ will finish in 2021............when they are in same division as CPA, CAK, ECS, Lausanne and the rest of AA?

  7. Greenfield favored.......:heard TCA didn’t play well against Crockett County.    Both teams very talented.......TCA probably has more depth but Greenfield has more firepower from top 3 players.  Could be a close game........Greenfield could blow out TCA but TCA is capable of winning game........should be fun game to watch!  Could be two possible state champions?  Moore, Darby’s, Lee’s, Pagoaga, Goehring’s!  That’s a lot of talent!!

  8. Hmmmmm...............How would the gallery react........if JC ran the score up?  No need for that garbage.   Jackson Christian is going to be really good in about two years.......Uh oh!!!  We may not take the gas off the pedal in a couple of years!!!!  Country club lane is going to be hopping in two years!

No you got what you got because you were suggesting we umpires stay together and basically implied we cheated.  You got personal.  If you were a coach, I would have warned you.  I can't warn you on here, therefore, you got a KMA.

With that being said, I am done with this.  I have given you facts that were given to me in person and you choose to give me your opinions regarding what happened or what you think might have happened.  Facts outweigh opinions.

Warned him?  Power hungry there ump?

Reitzfan, just predicting the game the way I see the matchup play out and IMO UC has the personnel to successfully play out the game using a similar game plan as the University school. Sorry that ruffles ya feathers. No offense intended towards TCA just a quick, simple break down of the matchup as I see it , as most do on this forum.

I would be interested to hear how you see this matchup playing out if you care to share your thoughts?

I attended that game.........USJ was not the better team......... You didn’t really contain the speedster.........he didn’t get the ball enough.  Both teams were pretty equal overall.  TCA self imploded.  USJ’s running game is strong and they could go far if they stay with it.  Both teams could go two or three rounds in the playoffs.

Nothing at all was mentioned about gold ball I don't believe.  It's nice to beat a private school on their home field.  Yes...adamsville will be a tough game for us and Trenton in a playoff game at that but one thing I know....your team scored 1 T D on our second string defense and the ONLY Points your team scored in the second half.  I'm sure you have not had a 500 plus yard offense show and a 300 plus rusher pound your team, add to that 49 points...especially on your home field in a long time.  I'm not worried about your team, we won and that's all that matters.  I was there and as we were slow to start, something we are pretty good at doing is grounding and pounding our way back into a game.  So, please, I did Not mention one thing about gold football's or playoffs or whatever.

My team?!  You obviously didn't pay attention to my post.  TCA is not MY team.  I go to a different stadium each week to see various teams because I enjoy HS football.  The way you were beating your chest you were basically implying a gold ball.  #7 and #1 for TCA made your defense look silly.  Only reason TCA didn't score more was because your offense had the ball which is a compliment to your great offensive line and RB.  IF TCA doesn't turn it over twice it's a completely different ballgame but hey that's football.  Enjoy your ride back to UC tonight and think about all the yards your defense gave up.  I bet TCA had over 400 total yards in the short amount of time they had the ball.

Union City  "Ground and Pound" game NO MATCH for TCA, at ALL.  Jones for Union City   close to 318  yards on the ground and Union City over 500 yards total offense.  TCA Defense no match for U C.  U C spotted TCA a easy 14 points before playing their game.  Union City does play well coming from behind.  TCA is very classless also....1 unsportsman like penalty, one targeting play called before 1 st half over and a facemask pulling helment off Jones.  You need to learn how to loose with class TCA.  The game is out of hand now, I'm heading to the car to head home, 50 - 24....lol.  NEXT!!!!!!

I came out tonight to watch game because I was curious how good union city was.  I had already seen TCA.  UC has no defense.  No way they will win a gold ball with that defense.  TCA was depleted on defense with 4 linemen out according to one of their fans.  If TCA can score 31 with a depleted offensive line, I wonder how many Waverly or Adamsville will score with a big healthy line.  Game was much closer than score.  UC couldn't stop TCA but of course TCA couldn't stop UC.  If I'm a UC fan I wouldn't beat my chest too much!  Both teams are very good teams but definitely have their weaknesses.

I think TCA might be able to match up with Union City well but in the end UC just has too much talent & way more physical.

Probably more physical but not more talent.  TCA has the fastest kid in West Tn  playing WR and has one of the top RB's in West Tn.  Can they find a way to utilize them?  Can UC use their physicality to dominate?  Should be a really good ballgame.

    TCA 28  UC 21

  14. MacNarry, I don't think they will be down this year.  It all depends on last minute recruiting. If they can land a couple of 4 stars like they normally do they will be fine and finish as a top Region team.

They could easily start the season 0-4 but could also be 3-1.  They will lose at least one game early this year then they will get the woodshed when they play the Tornadoes.  All I can say is look out for the Peabody Golden Tide!

  15. Spring Top 10 Class 2A by Donovan

    1. Union City Golden Tornadoes

    2. Waverly Tigers

    3. Peabody Golden Tide

    4. Trousdale County Yellow Jackets

    5. Adamsville Cardinals

    6. Columbia Academy Bulldogs

    7. Marion County Warriors

    8. Forrest Rockets

    9. Hampton Bulldogs

    10. Mitchell Tigers

Article has team capsule for top 10 :

Nope! No way Adamsville is 5th best team and no way Peabody is 3rd. Yes on UC and maybe on Waverly. Will Mitchell still be 2A next year? If so, they could really be dangerous.

  16.

Everyone had been nice on this board till now. Must suck to see what USJ is building and that they are back to beating little ole TCA down. This game wasn't even a little competitive. From the opening kickoff USJ dominated the game.

I try to attend this game each year along with a playoff game or two from each team if at home. I also attend the USJ/TCA basketball games. Some observations.........game was closer than score but it was never in question.........TCA is in a rebuild with one Senior playing....next year will be a ballgame! USJ is not real good and it's hard to judge based on that game. USJ's line is outstanding......lots of talent and experience. USJ players played under control and with some class........their student section once again showed how unclassy they are. Every time I attend a game it's embarrassing to see how their students act. USJ has two great, strong receivers.......TCA has a very weak secondary. TCA has a stud in the making running back and another at reciever(I heard he's a freshman). This game was competitve in the first half. It wasn't competitve in the second half. USJ punted several times so TCA's defense played pretty well in first half. Prediction.....TCA 3-7 USJ 5-5. As for your comment on TCA.......you better be careful........coach Butler knows how to win and build as well. Bradley obviously knows how to win. I predict this game will become a dogfight on an annual basis in the future.
