Could not have started any better for the rockets!

Bad field?? Surely your not talking about Forrest field are you?

If we are to have a chance it must be a defensive battle. Forrest can't match points with MC.

I don't believe they were scared last year. We had great senior leadership last season and Mr football lineman. Forrest has won quite a few games the past few years and the confidence shows as these kids never believe that are out of the game. If you look back over the recent years we were losing the close playoff games in the first round. The last couple seasons we have been winning those games. This is Forrest first trip to the 3rd round and these kids expect to be here. I coached several of these kids through youth football and they have championships at every level. Forrest has some excellent talent that are underclassmen that are playing critical roles this season. My nephew is a junior and has said they have had a great week of pract. I don't know the outcome tomorrow night but, I fully expect MC to get our best shot.

Looks like the rain is going to hold off. I think it would have helped the rockets to neutralize some of MC speed.

Very run oriented also like last season. Will run bootleg off of play action when we do pass. With that being said the last two weeks we have won with the pass.

Does MC pass more this season? Looks like they chucked it around a little bit against Watertown.

Congrats to both the MC players on the mr football finalist. Quite a feet to have two on the same team. Gonna be a challenge for our O-line.

Treat this week any different than the rest and we get spanked. Go to work, stay with the game plan that has got us this far. Add a few wrinkles, touch up the rough spots and play ball. The boys are well aware of what's at stake no need to make it seem bigger than it is. JMHO

Guess everyone is raised different. I was taught to let your game do the talking. I believe is was very disrespectful. Not how I raised my sons. I will not reply to this post any longer. GO ROCKETS.

I have said my piece on this matter. I am ashamed to say Forrest did have one player previously mentioned that did not show class, pride or tradition. I seen the gestures that was made toward meigs sideline and was embarrassed by it. I agree this thread needs to be locked and moved on from.

You nailed truth. Game plan is time possession , 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Hope to keep it respectable to the 4th quarter and hopefully have a chance. We know it's David vs Goliath type game

This year has a different feel to it. Some say luck, some say you make your own luck. I do know the rockets were all but done it both playoff games thus far and pulled it out at the very end. We are just glad to have the opportunity to play another week against a great MC team.

Funny you ask. We have had every firefighter in the middle Tn area trying to find the fire 🔥. Had pretty good bit of smoke here today.

Backs are # 6,8,13,21,25. # 23 is receiver. They all rotate. O-line is good size. QB is not fleet of foot though

I've seen every Forrest game this year and I also think #1 gave us the most trouble. You could argue with the Taylor kid from huntland and the love kid from H20. Meigs had a much better o-line than the other teams mentioned

No, our offensive coordinator is now the head coach. Our d-coordinator was also head coach last season. He is now the head coach at centennial in Brentwood.

Very impressive defensive numbers. I knew H20 D wouldn't slow Marion down but, I expected a few more points scored by Watertown.

Take it how you like Truth. You won't have to worry about us throwing the ball it's just not our style. Last years game Forrest could not get off the field on 3rd down. Had Marion 3rd and 6+ several times. I understand your planning on the Marion vs AE game but, don't forget anything can happen in the playoffs.

I could comment on some very embarrassing plays be meigs players but, I won't. This is football and not for the sensitive as some of us are showing to be. I am sorry you feel this way. I do however take great offense on how our players did not "earn" the victory. C'mon on don't forget your talking about kids that have been giving their all for months. Someone had to lose and their season is over and that's the beauty of playoff football. Again congrats to Meigs on a great season. They are a very good football team.

When your Marion everyone wants a shot at you as they are what all other programs strive to be. Let's not forget MC has knocked Forrest out of the playoffs at our home field twice in the past years. 09 MC won on a halfback pass 20-17 and last year 38-10.
