Woowee! Welp...I just got done got watching film and this one is in the bag! I'll give it to their QB. I know he probably should've won Mr. Football twice even though that never happens to players from over there. And I'll even say he's the best player in 1A...but he won't be able to get a pass off with our monsters on the D line! Sorry Dresden...you guys just don't realize what you're signing up for. We got here to the big dance last year with the same group pretty much and are probably one of the most dominant 1A teams ever this year with most of our core back with this senior group. The running game doesn't scare me one bit. He's running over midgets and doesn't have that much speed. They know a QB can't run but a handful of times against a team our size. Dresden's defense doesn't impress me one bit. We like to run outside and our big boys will put the outside linebackers on their back every play...just watch. Dresden also won't see our play action passes since they'll be so worried about our run game. We could run the same play the entire game and still win this. Our O linemen is about to embarrass the front 7 of Dresden....you might not like it but you'll be forced to accept it. Yyyyeeeeee, yyyyyyeeeee!!!! Get em up Kees! Let's do it this time babaaay!!

What are the main areas GB has improved since last years title game?

 

NCS QB should have been the MVP of the championship game IMO. While he is a good player, Winn is far better in every area.

 

GB had 0 net rushing yards after 3 quarters, at which time the game had been decided.

 

Just curious as to what GB has done to prepare and compete with not an up and comer but a true top notch team.

Admit it... You told me you wouldn't be as good this year. I told you the whole time this was the year to get ur done. Dresden is loaded, but they aren't NCS from last season either.

If WC is better this year, it isn't by much. I think the main change is 20's improvement on the defensive side. That being said, they don't have to be. They were the 2nd best team in 1A last year and at or near the top this year. WC will need to play better than they did against NCS and they will. While NCS had a good team this year, they were exceptional last year. Wayne County wins this one and silences the doubters. I think the championship will be a better game.

Well I got stuff to do. Won't post much after saying this.. Dresden will win. And whether by alot or by one, Lions going to Cookeville... But I'd be willing to pawn all of what lil I got, & bet the bundle that the score will be more lopsided than any expected. Bet.

They would have smoked ya'll like a West Memphis blunt this year and last year. Don't get it twisted, the only reason they aren't playing for back to back gold balls is because of NCS. As for the Trenton game last year, it was a complete disappointment. We didn't see the team everyone talked about.

u are absolutely right. Wildcat is only judging Trenton by the flop we had last year at the NC game. If he wants to judge Dresden based on their loss to Trenton in the playoffs last year, he has a rude awakening coming..

No disrespect but what do you judge off from this year. It's the semi's and do to their schedule and there opponents being down this year, they haven't played a top 6 or maybe even 7 team in 1A. Trenton is the last top notch team they played and they got embarrassed (last year). No disrespect to UC but they gave up more points in a month than they gave up some years. Dresden better play flawless. There is no room for error in his one.

I'd set his over under at 1 1/2 tackles Friday night. If I was betting I'd lay money on the under. Other games against other teams I'm sure have been different. Looks like a fine player.

Dresden#1 ,Wayne County#2 , both teams 13-0 . Both these programs should be Very Proud of the Season they have had already. No matter what happens 1 of these 2 programs is going to get an L. I believe in these LIONS and nothing will change that. Now that being said , ALL I could ever ask for is that ALL the athletes on BOTH TEAMS stay injury free and play with respect for one another. So don't get all upset over my post that is all my opinion. After all what's Playoff Football without a little smack talk??? Example::: WC is #2 for a Reason!!!

I guess the only stat that matters is the score. It's amazing that we averaged 3 yards per pass attempt throwing 30 times and had the ball late with a chance to tie or win. If you told me before the game that we'd sling it 30 times, I'd have told you we would get blown out.

WC Passing 272 yds 4 tds

I'm not sure about NCS, the only two teams I know of that broadcast their game on the NFHS network is Columbia Acad and Huntingdon

One thing is for certain, if we plan to let receivers get 10 yards behind the defense and give rice 7 seconds to throw, we will be unsuccessful. He has great touch and a pretty deep ball but good gracious these guys are absolutely wide open.

No one has argued the non call on the grounding. It was grounding and a great last second thought by 8 to get rid of the ball. Nothing to lose and it worked out.

 

The face mask was obvious on replay and the hand was not in the collar.

 

If you are making all these claims without having seen the game film afterward, it's just another 80 yard view from the stands to the far sideline. It's common knowledge that during live action different fan groups see completely opposite things depending mostly on your team of choice. Everyone is guilty of that.

They should do a more complete job of journalism and report that there is another Mr. Football finalist in this game.

If you are any kind of fan, why would you post this? True or not, which I'm hopeful it's not, it is of absolutely no benefit to the team or coaches. I've been waiting on that quarterfinal prediction this year. You were only off by 61 points last year. But with the best team in 1A history, you should be a little closer this year!

I thought you got a warning before a sideline penalty? Crazy how that was called as NCS was driving in the last minute of the game.

Do you really think these guys wanted NCS to win. They were horrible but they were horrible both ways. Continuous missed calls on blatantly late hits, potentially career ending chop blocks, it was not one sided. The no call on the sack/grounding was poor, I agree but these guys were not smart enough to want one side to win. The big dude on our side watched a player get smashed in the back---34 and land on his stomach. He reached for the flag and decided it wasn't worth it. They may have sucked, but they sucked both ways. It was bad officiating from start to finish.

In the end the simplist of things decided the game. Each team scored 4 times. NCS converted 3 times on extra points and Huntingdon managed to get one 2 pointer with their four scores. Never under estimate the power of kicking that first extra point.

If they get beat by 42 I'll move to Canada like all the Trump haters lol
