Well being close to the team for the past two seasons I know that the tyner game cannot be fully put on webster. I say this because they threw the ball 30 plus times for 350 (which they hadn’t done all season) because they couldn’t run the ball to save their life. It would have been a totally different game if the left guard didn’t let the hill kid get smacked for a loss of 4 on the goal line solely because he didn’t block a soul. On top of that I was told that left guard went into the locker room at half and said “I don’t want to be here”. Granted Webster isn’t the best quarterback, but when you have  4 total rushing yards on the night and two dropped Td passes. it’s hard to come out successful. Also the two interceptions that were thrown by him were actually in the pocket and one was just as much d Ray’s fault for his alignment. Not trying to offend you just informing you on some missing pages from the story

Not offended one bit. But seeing you want to get personal! So went back at looked at the game and sure enough the left guard didn’t keep his block or make a good block. So if the left guard wasn’t doing his job the coach should have pulled him. And for what you say someone said about the left Guard saying he didn’t want to be there well he stated that was BS.

Oh well. At the end of the day this is high school football. These kids will remember this season regardless. We as adults should not be trashing any of them. Let’s just root them on and support them as a community

Well some of us would like to see our kids, nephews and friends do something special and go further, something no other Watertown team as done before, maybe even play for a state championship which is the ultimate goal for all High school teams. Everyone on here from Watertown that I know supports these kids every time they step on the field at home or away. And I’ll guarantee you if you ask any player on this team or any team before them if they would liked to play for a state title the answer would be yes. And no one is trashing any of them !

My opinion on the price\webster debate on who should be playing qb is that if price is the qb we don’t have a passing game or a great one anyway and I don’t think we have the o-line to run the ball every play y’all say there really good and there not bad but Watertown hasn’t played anyone besides trousdale and the o-line didn’t dominate honestly with Webster at qb we have a balanced offense which makes defenses don’t know what we are gonna do price is a great player best player on the team by far but for Watertown to go far I think they need him at WR

Yes the best team we played was TC and had Price not come in the game we would’ve lost that game. Also we run the ball to win. Tigers are just Better with The ball in Prices Hands. Just my Opinion.

I’d like to agree you. However turnovers in the TC game almost lost that one. #25 to the rescue in that game for sure. In my heart I’d love to see Webster in the pistol, Price split out, and D-Ray in the backfield spreading out our two best players. But my eyes I have seen that Webster has almost always been to slow to pass. At the end of the first half Price ran nearly the entire length of the end zone wide open and he couldn’t get the pass off. And that’s just one example from more than a few, just from tonight. Next week should be the decision game. If things don’t get A LOT better, people will expect a team decision to be made. It wouldn’t be fair to the rest of the team to not have the best players at each position leading this team. Waiting any longer than next week wouldn’t give the team the time to gel again before the playoffs. It has to be about all the players, not just one.

Your 100% correct. Nothing should have changed for tonight’s game or the the next 2. When he feels a slight bit of pressure he’s running for the side line trying to get out of bounds, where #25 would put his foot in the ground and turn it into a yardage.   Just go back and look at last years week 2 playoff game against Tyner, flushed out of the pocket twice and threw 2 interceptions, 1 for a pick 6.

I said the same thing. 2 maybe 3 would have have been pick 6’s against more quality opponent. We could have easily been down 21-7 at one point. I’m sure it’s tough, but the best players need to play. An opportunity to get to a state championship is a real possibility. There is no next year for the core of this team. The best players at each position need to be on the field, bottom line.

    I agree 100%!

I have to admit it looked kind of lifeless.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against #16, but he doesn’t give the Tigers the best chance at winning in a big game against a playoff  caliber team and I hate it for the team. Side line passes behind the line of scrimmage is not going to work against a good team. Plan and simple he just not a big play maker.

I'm going to sound like saban win 48...6 but h20 didn't look like a oiled machine on offense tonight maybe it was the bye week off had several flags, droped passes , no wildcat and not enough touches for #25 but a win .

The ball was not in our best players hands tonight for sure. Not enough touches for #25 or #4.  Let’s just be honest, we wouldn’t have won the TC game if #25 had not took over in that game and we won tonight, if it had been a TC type of team there was about 2 or 3 passes tonight that would have been pick 6’s.

Should be a good game for #16 Webster to get his feet back under him. The score will be what ever the coaches want it be. If it’s not a blow out (win by 40 or more) it wouldn’t surprise me. With #16 back I’m sure they’ll be trying ways to use both Webster and Price. At least that’s what I’d be doing.

Well with 16 back we didn’t look like the same team that we have the last 4 weeks !

That's exactly what I wanted to hear, and what I needed to know. Thanks.

Imthayeti, brother you guys don’t have to worry about little old Watertown, we just trying to keep up with the big boys. We will try and make it a game. But still a few hurdles in the way first. If we can get by JC, Smith County and East Robertson and then 1st round and 2nd round against a very good Tyner or TC.

Who exactly is overlooking and brushing off Watertown?

Watertown needs to face facts, they're not the underdog this year, and there are not very many treating them as such.

I actually talked to a guy from TC who watches a whole lot of football in the area. He thinks Watertown has the best team in Wilson County.  That ought to say something.

Croz6110 it just opinion from what I was hearing at few game I’ve been to out side of Watertown games in 2A. Watertown knows who we are, we know we have to keep playing at a high level. We known we have very good teams ahead of us to play. Anything can happen on any given Friday night, good teams can slip up and get beat and it can happen to us. I read all the threads on here and l hear people talking at other games. So for who exactly, well it does not matter. And I’m just talking about 2A.  And some other Tiger fans know what I’m talking about. And as far as respect, We are not asking for or looking for it, it has to be earned one game at a time. That’s what’s special about this team they play for each other and the depth is getting better.

As far as poles and rankings go, we all know what they are good for.
