I guarantee that any of the past D2 champions in the last 10 yrs would have beat this team handily. Also some of the Maryville teams of the past and even a few whitehaven teams would have beat them. Also, who are they playing in Georgia that's really that great? All this being said they are a very good team but you made them seem like they are the Patriots. BA, Ensworth, Maryville, Whitehaven, Oakland all have had teams with this amount of talent if not double that amount. All this being said EL has a very solid team and it shows by beating KC as bad as they did. Finally got a taste of big boy football this year after years of ducking better competition and beating up on little guys.

Ba and ensworth routinely play a good out of state team every and both lose 80% of the time look it up. Brentwood got one this year and kudos to them. As far as EL and who they play in Georgia?  I hope your kidding Georgia football is some of the best and talent rich in the country.

According to KNS .. the Catholic church can pay tuition for kids and TSSAA doesn't consider that aid ... !! Not aid ?? Are you kidding me ?? I thought the TSSAA stopped that and if aid was given then the school had to play private .. guess I know now who is footing the bill for some of those KC players.. can't believe TSSAA allows that ..

If the church aids them they are ineligible. Been stated before but you hear what you wanna hear. Go ruin another thread this is getting ridiculous....every single week Tadvols you ruin another teams thread cause your butt hurt please go away.

So explain the nail biter with Soddy Daisy?

Came out flat, got down big worked way back and won. Definitely worst game of the season. They were minus  Few with injuries also but so is everybody. No excuse just didn't play well. Totally different team since getting #31 back.

  4. Yeah but with a week off I don't see why any Class should play on a short week when other classes have a bye. Why can't they just play the week before? Either way Thursday night short week State Championship games seem to benefit no one and shows just how poor tssaa is at there job.

Great season, I hope everyone keeps doubting Coach Rosser and Central like they did all year. We’re going to come back HEALTHY next year and prove everyone wrong again.

Coach Rosser is a great coach only a fool would doubt him. I hope for your sake Central can keep him gotta be on alot of school lists for a new coach.

Wildcatrealistl, not sure anyone i is crying about anything. I know I'm not. As far as Oak Ridge's accomplishments I've stated that there is a case for them to be considered at least the second best public 5A football team in the state. As far as telling some people to shut their mouths, well that's a little overboard. IMO.

Just stop at this point your in a thread for the next round of the team that beat your team whining about being second best. Give it up take wildcats advice.

Not trying to give out any moral victories, but we gave up 162 yards on 42 carries to Catholic. The week before they put up over 400 on the ground on a really good Fulton team, and I remember they put up 300 or so on the ground against Maryville. That's something to be proud of.

Should be very proud Oak ridge played great D.

  8. The nfhs network is 9.95 a month I think so not terrible. You can watch replays and highlights so if you plan to get it and want to watch film on Catholic or anyone else who's on it not a bad deal.... Catholic has a big line and big line backers but they tend to get up field and create gaps that quick backs tends to exploit better than more power backs. If I remember the quick back at OR is shorter not small just short and real quick. For Catholic fans I believe he has Bussel type speed. For Catholics Offense I believe getting Brown going is key. I love this kid and I know Catholic has a big line but he still seems to break three tackles and falls forward every run. His stats aren't  crazy cause he was out half the year. Bussel runs jet sweeps and you can ask Maryville about those. Cam Blakely is a big receiver headed to Miami OH not blazing speed but is a huge target...one big thing to watch if the game is close in the 4th quarter Catholic plays ALOT of ppl both ways and could hurt them cause they don't seem to play 4 qrts very often. Kickers are both good for Catholic. Last but not least the qb is very good but has a sore wing and I like what I've seen from the back up. Any questions I'm happy to answer might be tomorrow before I do. O and before I go please kick off to Bussel not sure how many more I'll get to see but always a delight ;)

  9. I think as Catholic fan the scariest thing to me is OR quick running back. Catholic is know to no show on defense  (fulton last year) and quick backs seem to be a problem for Catholic. Not always and I hope they prove me wrong but thats what worries me the most. Keep in mind I haven' watched OR since last year against walker valley either so I'm not well educated but from what sweet said sounds like the quick back is still their.

Couple football questions in an attempt to save this thread.  What kind of offense does Oak ridge run? Are they more run or pass oriented? And who are the play makers? Strength and weakness?

This is from page 6 try to keep up before calling me out...thanks sweet for actually answering this question btw. The last two post season games have been on the nfhs network not sure if that guarantees anything though.

It may get old and I understand it being frustrating, but as long as Catholic is in public schooling division this issue is going to keep being brought up. Tell me this....Why can Webb be private but Catholic can't? And all the other privates for that matter? I don't see how y'all can't understand us public guys questioning this. It's just not a level playing field, there's no other way to put this. Answer that for me about Webb and I'll shut up, promise.

I don't want you to shut up you actually talk football. Webb and the other locals play smaller private division. Catholic. Used play in that division but then they got moved to public and at the time they wanted no part of it. The small division has more east tennessee teams between knoxville and chattanooga so it's more financially  feasible. I personally remember playing regular season games in Memphis and being home around 5am on Saturday and then going to work at 8am that day. I can't imagine other sports during the week. I know this isn't your problem but Catholic is just playing by the rules tssaa has provided. I have heard the tssaa rep for east tennessee privates is David Meske so I'm sure that doesn't make Catholic quick to want to move in to his cross hairs of alignment either. Keep in mind the other small privates don't want to play Alcoa every year either so playing private isn't so bad for them.
