Rhea has everyone back from what I can remember from last year when they played us at EH.  They actually had us beat in the region at our place.  Looking on this website at last year's district schedule they split with Cookeville, beat White County both times, and played Stone pretty tough.  Stone graduated some good ones.  Cookeville graduated hands down their best player.  I'm not sure who White County graduated, but on paper Rhea was already better than them.  I think Rhea has to be considered a threat to win 6AAA.

I in a round about way said Rhea could win 6AAA.  If crazy things happen on our side could we see another Riverdale Smyrna situation?

  2. One thing that I know for sure with the 4 teams in 6AAA and the three best teams in 5AAA the Region 3AAA tournament should have some awesome games.  Whoever wins your district will have a cakewalk, but the other three games will be coin tosses.

  4. East Hamilton has arguably the best player in the state.  They didn't have any SR's and gave Bradley all they wanted last year in every game as long as Hayes wasn't in foul trouble.  If she stays out of foul trouble there will be a new champion in District 5AAA.  I realize it's hard to talk until the games are played because nobody has beaten BC in several years, but I do believe East Hamilton breaks through this season.

  5. From what I'm hearing, Cleveland self reported the violation and the following sanctions have been imposed.  No open facilities for 30 days this fall. This includes conditioning, weight training, and coaches working with players.  So basically a 1 month dead period.  CHS will also give up two preseason scrimmages.  Furthermore they cannot have spring practice in 2018.  Looks like TSSAA dropped the hammer.

  6. If Howard had stayed at East Hamilton, Carter would not have found her way to Bradley. Not sure if Cleveland has the best coach in the district but he did wonders in turning East Hamilton around and Cleveland was definitely much improved. Every coach needs talent. Some coaches develop the players they have, others just go get the players they need.

  7. Funny how that bona fide change of address occurred after summer camps and spring AAU ball playing with players on the Riverdale squad.  Save it for some of the more ignorant Coacht-ers.  Howard at Bradley is totally legal by TSSAA rules also, but nobody will ever read or hear about the back room deals that were made in both situations.   :roflolk:

  8. That's Chatt bball, lookout if you have a player, they will come. Now with the new TSSAA rules nothing can stop the privates from snatching them up. THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T PLAY THEM EVER, especially HH. Make them drive 300 miles to get a game and kids from chatt won't attend that school. Don't play HH

It would not surprise me to see the Hayes and Lacy girls both stolen away from East Hamilton. If East Hamilton can keep them, this might be the beginning of a Hamilton County public school powerhouse.
