WOW!!! I feel for the girls. go from celebrating a Sub-State berth to dealing with this in 24 hours.
-
Per TSSAA website
- Division I Tournament Site - All region tournament games will be played at the higher seed. If two schools are the same seed, the district that was scheduled to host the region tournament will be considered the higher seeded team and will host that game (Due to it being an odd-numbered year, the odd-numbered district (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15) shall host the game.).
-
I believe 1/3 but I am not 100% sure on that
-
Regions are scheduled for Monday (quarters), Tuesday (semis) and Thursday (finals).
Substate will still be Saturday
-
Because of the weather last week, TSSAA allowed schools to move districts and regions back.
They wanted to allow practice time before starting right into districts and also trying to prevent injuries.
-
game is sold out. Probably could sell out the whole stadium if it wasn't for D--n Covid
-
Shelby Co sports have not resumed yet. So anyone that would be matched up against that district, would receive a bye

I think Cleveland will beat whomever they play handily at this point. Bradley has to get through White County first- and the refs. The refs in the UC are quite a bit more call happy than what we saw down in the 5 AAA area.
Refs will come from a different area of the state so it will not be anyone from either district.

What happened with the vandalism accusations?

Watertown advances to by beating CSAS 3-0.

I am an official and the answer is no. Like Big Orange Baller said, you can only run baseline after a made basket

In past years it has gone to where the 8-AA tourney was..
I believe that it stays at Cumberland County even though they lost but I hope it goes back to Cookeville. I hate that drive

I was a little worried about our offense going into this matchup. But we played a great game
Keep the fire lit. They will need those points Monday night

THANK YOU. just asking, how much was those checks?
A MS doubleheader is $75, Varsity Doubleheader is $100. It is not alot considering the time away from family and driving to and from games that could be an hour or more away from your home. I am an official and I do not do it for the money. I do it because I love the game and love trying to help kids. I was one of the people who used to always complain about refs, so I figured if I want to complain I need to pick up a whistle and learn the rules. It is alot more to it than most people think.

Only reason UHS can make it to the finals is cause the McWillams make sure to have a ref that refs there games (against York) that teaches at Baxter.
If York lost up right to UHS that’s one thing. But when you know and can see a ref cheating that’s another.
I happen to know all 3 of the refs. Which one are referring to as a teacher at Baxter?

Question.
I was told that there was a rule change regarding backcourt violations. This person said that a player can dribble the ball across half court. Then turn and pass the ball to somebody that hasn't made it across, but as long as the person that hasn't made it across yet catches the ball in the air and lands across the half court line, they are OK.
Originally, you had to have crossed half court before they could throw you the ball.
Help would be appreciated, especially if you are a ref.
I am an official and you were told wrong.
If the ball is deflected by a defensive player then the offense can be the first to touch it in the backcourt.
If a player that has not made it across catches the ball in the air and then lands in the frontcourt, it is a backcourt violation. The player is considered to be still in the backcourt until his/her feet establish in the frontcourt.

DeKalb folks, I am confused about this. I was at the DC - Van Buren game and they came out like a house of fire. Since then have not come close to putting up 80 pts let alone 100. Are they not playing as hard or was that game a fluke. I had already warned my Watertown folks about DeKalb and now I am not sure they will follow up on my words.

It will be 6 our time so pregame at 5:30 with kick at 6
I downloaded the app today, so that I can listen in to y'all before the Watertown game.
Good luck to the Jackets, leave no doubt.
See y'all in H2O next week, if we handle our business that is.

I have a question for H2O people when the next reclassification comes up will Watertown be a 3A school
Most likely they will be 3A. We are right there at it now and in 2 years, we will be bigger than we are now. We've got more people moving to Watertown every year, plus we accept people from other school zones who are willing to drive to the school.

Possibly the worst Refs I’ve ever seen. One of the Refs threatened to throw a flag on one of our players for clapping. Not in someone’s face or in a taunting manner, just clapping because one of his teammates made a good play. I’m seriously thinking about becoming a Ref. Just don’t know how I’d work it out with my job. But seriously, things need to change.
what time do you get off from work? They may be able to work out a schedule for you

Yes. Why did TC game move?
Can anyone explain TSSAA’s logic?

Preach. Kids just want to have a chance to play. They would go 4 hours away if it meant one more game, especially with a chance to go to state on the line. Adults are always interjecting their thoughts or hurt feelings and saying it's about someone else. Like he said, go or don't go and watch the stream but do not rain on someone else's parade because you are not happy with how something is not going your way.
