That was in 2011. They were just as good in 2012. North was in 3A then. Until the city snatched a few more students from us.

Good post. Coach Norris is probably the best coach North has ever had. North's tradition of football goes way back to the days of Ketron high school. My father went to high school there and Ketron always had a winning solid ball team made up of nothing but Bloomingdale's finest. They beat Dobyns Bennett back in the 70's. I recall my father saying that they had a quarterback out of Orebank who could throw the ball almost a 100 yards. Since the city of Kingsport absorbed Lynn garden, North might as well be called Bloomingdale high school. Because the school is mainly comprised of mostly Bloomingdale boys now. Mostly descendants of working class folk. Once North is gone, this tradition will go with it. Unless(and I am hoping)Coach Norris is hired to be the head coach of the new high school that is supposed to be built within the next few years. North is probably the most hated school in Kingsport. The school board administration on both the city and the county despise us. Kingsport caters to south and DB. Fans from those other two schools think we are trash and look down there noses at us. We may not have that big of a band or a cheerleading squad, but we do have a football team that works hard and wins football games. Our Coaches and players thrive on that. Our coaches and Football players are Bloomingdales Finest.

Dang right. "The more we sweat in peace, the less we bleed in war." And the raiders have sweated and worked hard this summer and have had two warm up games. I have seen North and HV play. North wins.

I agree. I remember Cosby having three decent lineman last year, that was about the best talent that I saw them having at the time. By the end of the game, thy was wore down.

Penalties on the other hand.... Whole other issue.

Yeppers. Go check out the most recent rankings on MP. In 2a North is @12 and Hampton is @ 5. I believe GP is @14 and HV is @ twenty something. But never underestimate anybody.

My stress level has been pretty low last couple of games. Not so much for this game. 1st big hard game of the season for us. By no means is it taken lightly.

Furthermore,SN barely got their first three wins last year. The past two games North blew them out of the water. Volunteer was not that sloppy of a team either.

I am with Pujo. If you have not seen SN play this year. They are pretty athletic.

I will be there. I am at every Varsity and JV game. North has one off week this year. Might have to go watch the Bulldogs play that week.
