Yes Dalton will pull some big names
-
Next year we will win it all. With the changes coming on offense and Peabody moving Down!
-
I’d say the offense is always open up at EH. !
-
Trent Dilfer is the head coach a Lipscomb. Tim McGraw and Michael Orr will be at this game.

Thanks Coach.
is this about the kid that transferred from Alabama to play Qb?
-
Hixson wins by 21. Too many athletes for the rich kids to contain. SM may not win a game this season.
-
Any new transfers for the Pirates?

He just told the BGA team
Well I was 1/2 right! Lol

Maybe right. He turned Lipscomb down before they hired Dilbert. Evidently he and the basketball coach got their differences worked out at CPA and he stayed.. I bet this will be a quick hire. Typical Private school fashion.
-
With the money they can pay and looking at what Lipscomb did with their hire I would say its going to be a big time hire, Not a re-cycled coach. Rankin, Quarles, or even Jeff Fisher probably would all be frontrunners for this job. They are going to pay to get big name.

I think it is not so much disappointed with coach Davis, more disappointed Coach Vestal didn't get it. I sure hope folks will understand what a great hire this is and encourage kids to give him a chance. He met with the Central kids this morning and I heard a large turnout showed up. Several of the kids were seen talking up Coach Davis. I heard Coach Davis say he was going to reach out to Coach Vestal and see if he wanted to stay, if he doesn't.... it will be his choice to walk away.
Excellent choice to re-build this program. DD is a great man and a fine coach. Glad he gets to bring in his own staff too because lets face it they need a fresh start cause 1-29 ain't getting it done. Doesn't need that kind of negative energy hanging around!

Vestal interviewed this week. I am still under the impression that it's a one man race. Derrick Davis is the guy.
It will be official this week. DD is the man!

I hear you there. If y'all do get Davis he will change that program I promise that. And the talent that isn't playing will want to come out. I can't tell you enough how great of a coach he is and even better man. He will prepare those kids for after school as well. Like I said earlier I was a freshman his first year and he demands discipline, hard work, dedication, teamwork, accountability , and he's cares about the kids he is coaching. I hope y'all give him a hard look for sure. Definitely be hard seeing him there but I know he would do great and the school will benefit having him leading the program. Known the man and his family for 19 years and he holds a special place in my heart been there for both my parents passing and was part of molding me into the man I've become. To be honest I hope he gets it and gets the support of the administration. With the talent that's there Central can make some noise granted it would take a a year or two but give him time Central be hard to handle. I'll be keeping a eye on this thread for sure.
So happy for DD, he will do a fine Job!

Coach Davis would be a great fit at Central. Look for him to take it if offered.
-
Who all did Bosken hire to come with him to Boyd?
-
Looks like they are re-thinking their first choice.... interesting!
-
Who is in the running for this Job? Great opportunity for someone just haven't heard much on it.
-
Collierville should be announced very soon!
-
Where will Tillman coach next season? He is still young and probably wants to still coach.
-
Fant will get the Cleveland Job. Unless Bosken decides to leave Boys Buchanan.
-
Funny how the last 2 HC have both left after 3-4 years to return basically to the same job they had before. Sounds like Cleveland may be a difficult place to work..... With that being said our own Fitz will probably end up taking this job. Would be a good hire for Cleveland but we would hate to see him go.

Rankin is in the lap of luxury! He aint moving back to the Boro!
Rankin is looking to Retire in the state of Tennessee. If he gets what he wants he will be the next Coach at Lipscomb. Looks like the deal should get done very soon.

Thanks STowner for the kind words. Every program cycles. Hopefully the wind will not be out of our sails too long. The SPitt atmosphere on Friday nights is as close to college as it gets.
VG wouldn't play em again anyway. He's done!
Rang to Alabama?

Grissom was about to pull the trigger on a TN coach but the school board had other ideas. Back to the drawing board. North Jackson Scottsborro and now Madison County are all open. All very good jobs!
