  1.

Da Bears! But most of all, it should be the best match of the weekend and once again, no matter who wins, it'll stay in Bradley County! Just dominance![/

Agreed! Staying local is the best part. I also agree with the statement about Mr. Jones as well. What better way to use your $ than supporting kids. I applaud him for wanting his alma mater to be great in the sport he is passionate about. That said.....Go Bears!

  2. they had 2 out. One suspended and one injured, I believe. Copeland played and scored 20.

Congrats to the Blue Raiders. They played well but I was impressed overall with this team. Great effort and unselfish play. Our Bears will be back when healthy and suspensions fulfilled but this night and possibly this year is the Blue Raiders. Great new arena also. Well done CHS.

  3. Cleveland definitely doesn't have 12-14 guys that could start on other teams, that's a ridiculous statement. They have maybe 2 such guys, KK Curry and Deonte Ware. Ware looks the be dealing with an injury, he didn't start and appeared to be limping throughout the game. Lets not forget that this was a 14 point game with 4 minutes left, made closer by some really bone headed Cleveland mistakes. WV is capable of beating Cleveland, but they have no one to guard KK in the post or to keep him off the glass. Cleveland has another tough test Tuesday. The Raiders have a hard time guarding Copeland, so it should be a good one.

Looking at scores and records it would seem that CHS is much better than either WV or BC. With these 3 local teams the only thing that is certain is nothing is certain. In this community they all grow up playing each other and are not intimidated by whichever is most talented. CHS probably wins the district season but if history proves anything rarely does the regular season champ win the tournament.

  4. As a life long Bear, let me say I am very proud of our team this season. Last night we were a break away from advancing but it did not go our way. 9 wins with the schedule and injuries is more than respectable. I appreciate the efforts of Coach Floyd and his staff. They are good coaches and even more importantly good role models who care about those kids. Thanks for a great season to the Bears. Congrats to Blackman and we wish you the best.

  5. Cookevilles defense might be the toughest we've seen all year. Only 2 teams that actually really scored on them. Oakland and Smyrna. They don't give up over 21 points a game. This run up the middle on 1st and 2nd won't cut it tonight. Got to be creative.

Their offense is good, but our defense can hold and do their part for the most, but even they will get tired and give up being on he field half the night. They can score fast.

This is one game, if we get in the red zone, we have got to come away with points. If we get personal fouls after personal fouls, the game will be over before half. Hope the coaches worked on that all week. Tucker and Standifer has got to look like Div 1 kids tonight. Go Bears and good luck!

Excellent summary- always appreciate your knowledge about our Bears and opponents. No other info or are you holding your cards close to your face?

  6. I'm one of the first who said Standifer will be just as good as Cole. He is already showing good things. Just inexperienced and makes mistakes. Our QB production won't fall much next year. i just don't want him to play in this game. Or at least after the 1st QB anyways. He gets hurt, we are sunk bad. We will be sitting home after Cookeville. Rather anyone wants to believe that or not.

DCA can you keep the updates coming. Ole Momma vetoed us coming up there tonight. Gary and Earl will be on the radio but I want to hear your take on the action.
