91, I wouldn't have posted what I posted if I wasn't just having fun as well Brotha! I actually like the smack talk, especially when people are at least knowledgeable of what they are talking smack about, so we will back to you once we even up the Old Rivalry with Oak Ridge this Friday! Sorry Compton but I have to insult you again! The Eastman thing is ridiculous! DB just lost a player that was a Freahman last year because his Momma needed a job and could not find one in this area, and had to move away! This was one of the biggest, most athletic kids to come through Kingsport City school system in years. Big time college Body and skill! If someone knows the information better than I do, but the kid was not shorter than 6''6 probably no less than 260 and was catching passes one handed like it was no problem! He had good speed for a big man and would have been a prospect at Tight End, Defensive End, Offensive or Deffensive Tackle, or maybe baseball as well. If what you say was true the kid would still be an Indian! Greeneville is good but history will tell you they don't beat DB and would not have last year or this year! I don't think scrimmages count for much other than an opportunity to work on the things you need to work on!

DB beat all the locals by 30+ in 2011 not including extra points that is 5 TD's and there were only two local games under 35 but could have been worse if the dogs weren't called off! There could have been others, I just looked at the year before 2012 because I know DB beat everyone bad in 2012, but that was the year Science Hill made it close, and it was the best crowd I have ever seen at J Fred! 2012 is also a great example of what happens to DB playing local teams! Players only are only able to play first half and when the playoffs come DB is not able to pick it back up to play better competition!

Gunner0331 you can run your Pie Hole all you want! Your Pie just does not have the ability comprehend the differences in schedules, and understand the the landscape of high school football! There have been three significant coaching changes in the local area that help their teams compete! JC, Elizabethton, and Greeneville have hired really good coaches that have now made their teams competitive and caused their teams to believe they can win! They have improved but could Elizbethon or Greeneville play in the conference DB is in now and compete consistently, and the answers is no! Do you even understand that last year DB played the best teams in the old Big East Conf. Sevier County, Jefferson County, and Science Hill, add Oak Ridge, Maryville, Bearden, Bradley Central, Hardin Valley and William Blount-no Elizabethton, Sullivan South, Sullivan North, Volunteer. DB played with everyone except Maryville, and Blackmon! Tennessee high who is always pretty good was the worst team on the schedule and was the only game DB had to help build confidence and it was the first game of the season, so there were not games in the middle to recoupe hurting players and build confidence! Take what I just said and understand DB has played very few competitive teams over the past 10 years while the other teams in the conference were playing tougher competition and were more ready For the change! Hard to compare Apples to Apples to Past DB successful teams because the Apples are different! Now I will shut my Pie Hole and wait for them to put on the pads to see if the coaches and players have learned from last year! Again my guess is they have!

I might be wrong but I think they did beat the class 5a state runner up Sevier County last year! My point is that playing better competition helps you get better! When you play the locals around here, the players, coaches but especially the fans get a false sense of how good the team is. DB has had some good players and some good coaches, but sometimes you have to step up your game, and I think that is what you will find this year! They played a schedule tougher than any other time in the school's history, now let's see if they are able to step it up! My guess is they will!

My man I don't think you understand, the DB team last year was actually pretty dang good, they just had to realize that they weren't playing the little boys anymore! You need to understand that DB used to have to play people like North, Volunteer, Crocket and Central, and DB normally had to back off after being up by 50+ at halftime! Would not have been any different last year with the local teams. Elizabethton would have competed, but the others would have been ugly! I pull for all the local teams, and I think North will be good this year, but there is a reason for classifications and that is not to protect the big school from the little schools! The last couple games against Crocket DB had to be careful to not score 90! The Knoxville and Chatanooga area schools were better prepared for the new leauge because they have been playing better competition over the past couple of years! The coaches and players have seen it now, so don't be surprised when they go out and put up a lot of W's this year!

Any word on the Scrimmage?

It is funny I keep hearing DB was not very good last year, but they did beat the State 5A runner up Sevier County whose QB is now playing in the SEC, lost in the last seconds to an Oak Ridge team that had one of the best Athletes in the State and even country! They scored 34 points and lost one game and 42 in another and lost! Make a few stops and the year would have looked a lot different! The coaches have seen where they need to be, the players have seen where they need to be! They have great leadership and put the work in! That is is why it is quite on here! Because it is shut up and play football time!
