Their conditioning and weight program is either pathetic at DB, OR, Greeneville's is the best in the state, or some combo of both, because the team that had players all over the field going both ways, was clearly the strongest, most well conditioned team late in the game. I'd like to think it was because  our kids have the benefit of one of the best coaching staffs in the state. All that babble said and without having seen OR play, until DB does something to change my mind, I just dont think they get it done.

BVDeezNuttz. Sorry to bust you're bubble. But the better team didn't win. The one that made fewer mistakes did. We didn't punt all nite.Made mistakes at bad times during the game. We were moving the ball up and down the field. Just poor judgment on a few plays. But if you and the devil faithful believe y'all had and have the better team. Y'all sure want at the same game I was at. But it is what it is. Congrats and good luck the rest of the yr and hope all works out like y'all want. Until next yr at J FRED.

Alot of people just assume that I went to GHS because im such a huge fan, but the sad reality of it is I graduated from Millbrook High in Raleigh NC after going to Worthington High In Ohio for freshman and soph years. Both schools were well over 2000 in enrollment back then ( 81-85 ). My mom dad and brother, who  most on here know as batman, all went to GHS, so before mom divorced dad and remarried my step dad, I was raised to be a devil from early on. Even as a student on Worthington and Raleigh, I still remember coming back to Greeneville a few times during school and making it to see guys like Andy Moon and Frankie Play for the Devils. My papaw was all about those Greene Devils as well, so he use to bring me and my cousin in from the glendale community of Greene County to watch the Devils play football and basketball. And finally, before being moved away, i lived directly across from GHS at 211 Tusculum blvd up on the hill, so I suppose you could say that as long as i've lived in Greeneville, no matter my age, I've always been "close to the program". 

This year I hope will be yet another memorable one.

I know it's sad about going to Millbrook.Garner made everyone on their athlete teams sad. But I would rather go to millbrook instead of Greeneville tenERsee any day. LOL

DB and Sevier County have played for years but the opening of Northview Academy has taken them down to around 1,100 students. Not the same Smoky Bears we used to know. Of course neither is DB.

True,no team in any sport is unbeatable.I like the way Maryville acts when they win or when they lose.That is a direct example of the kind of coach,parents and community this program has to have young men like this.Wish my kids and their friends could have had a program like this

From the stats and the rumors, okelund sounds like a dominant team. Do they have any weaknesses?

Adding Maryville, Greeneville. Keeping Tennessee High and Oak Ridge. Anything else would be a dumb move

DB needs to (KEEP POUNDING) ​And play with as much effort & fight as they've had in the games since the WB debacle. And they'll be fine. But ​SH want lay down and no one expects them too. A SC coached team will be ready. Should be a great game.

Are u all really missing 5 starters so far? I am planning on coming over to watch this game now for sure. DB is back to full strength I hear and Maryville down 5 starters...this has the making for a big upset. I hear Kingsport is starting to rock with confidence and are really believing they will win.

I heard today at work that Maryville will be walking into a hornets nest Friday evening!!! This is building up to be something to see I think. This could very well be the start of Maryville being brought down to the rest of the teams. I know the Hilltoppers had em til they had a few bad calls.

Nobody in Kingsport or at DB that matters is saying any of that. LIE MUCH?

We honest to goodness had 5 starters out Friday night against Bearden. And like Stars pointed out, we had another player injured during Friday nights game.

Before last Friday's game against Science hill I would have said that Boone could name the score for this game.     But now......   now......    now its up for grabs.      I guess whoever wants it the most.

Can the Smoky Bears find a way to get back in the region race? I think the Defense will keep it close. Its been a tough season and this is a pretty good edition of the Blazers but I think the Bears are going to pull off the upset. They MUST fix the punt team and start catching more balls but I think they will. This win is the only glimmer of hope for a better than 4th region finish. If they lose its 4th place at best although I guess making the playoffs would be an achievment for this squad. If they win 1st or 2nd is still possible. I know its a long shot but Florida was up 21 and I could just feel the Vols where still going to turn it around so I am riding the checker board wave into the SC homecoming game.
