  1. It's over for a long time great football program with this hire. Board the concession stand up, call ft loudon to come turn the lights off at Cooper field, and sale the mower that has kept one of the best grass fields mowed all these years. Thank you to this clown show of administration who handled the hiring. You have really outdone yourself

  2. All starts with Casteel. He does not care about the athletic program and has told several people that are involved with the programs that over the past fee years.  We go to 4 state titles in 5 years and this is the hire you make. We have a young team with alot of potential in the next few years but it will only get worse. The bad part is this coach's job is safe as long as Casteel is still at the school

Fville looks like the better team so far . And there really young

Yep. And grider just can't do it in big games. 70 plus kids on the team and tons of speed and talent across the field and he still runs that dang mickey mouse offense. Sure it works when your playing the people in their region. But my lord with that talent spread the ball around and throw it or do something besides the same 3 to 5 plays u run over and over

LRDAO.... You are full of mess.  That Ryan man had three boys that could play in the SEC last year not counting the Carnes boy that you orchestrated.  Grider came up there with a receiver that was playing passer and got beat by one point.  You think im joking but im not.

Dont really matter who plays qb when u run the same 5 plays over and over. You have 70 kids to practice with everyday and you don't have a 2 minute offense. The meigs game showed he hasn't worked on that. Down two scores on the 15 yard line about to score with 3 minutes left and your taking a huddle running 20 seconds off at a time. That's just not smart coaching. Might be different if you didn't have 5 or 6 great athletes who can score anytime they touch the ball

Think it was 2001, Cloudland played played you guys the year they went to the State. You had a Great passing team. I've since learned that you have always had kids coming from other nearby schools. Anyway that was a very nice and respectful bunch of kids.

I played on that team. Over half the staters on that team was supposed to be at William blount. But we all grew up in lower blount county and played our youth ball at Southside and greenback. It's just the way it is around here. Back then if u wanted to attend greenback then come on your more than welcome. Things have changed now with all the TSSAA rules. But if you do it the right way then what's the problem. I got a ton of friends that attended will blount for a couple years and then came to greenback. Ask any of them how much better a community, fanbase and growing up experience it is at greenback. It's not even close

No "studding problem" at WB. There is a coaching problem at WB. If you want to see WB studs in action may I direct you to watch Maryville Greenback and Alcoa this weekend at the State Championships where Ex-WB studs will be on full display. Since your season is over and you have no dog in the fight at the State Championship buy a ticket on one of the attending schools fan buses, pack up a couple boxes of fudge rounds and your trusty thermos full of vodka and come to the games. If that's to much effort come over to Greenback and help clean up the ton of trash your crowd left under and around the stands instead of using the provided garbage cans.

That's a fact. Looked like a garbage truck had turned over around the bleachers.
