This is a place to talk about sports and unlike some of you, I look at the team and evaluate them in an unbiased manner. It would be a miracle it Cosby made it to the State Tourney this year. The talent is just not there and I do not see it getting any better for the next several years. With that said it doesn't mean that I don't support Cosby or I'm suddenly against them because they don't make it to the State. If just means that I am realistic and stating facts and you are wearing rose colored glasses!

Ok. If you go to Clinch, something crazy is bound to happen. Three years ago, the gym had a wasp nest in it. We almost got swarmed.
Two years ago, the gym was infested with lady bugs and flies, and they had to stop the game ever so often to sweep all the dead bugs off the floor......But beat this. Many years ago at the Unaka at Clinch game (we're talking about Ronnie Snavley's 1st stint as coach, about mid to late 80's) the roof was leaking, but since this was such a common occurence (Clinch's gym has to be one of the oldest in the state) that they didn't halt play, they just put trash cans out there to catch the water! But thats not the best thing about it: Coach Snavley was setting up plays that used the trash cans as screens and they were playing pick and rolls off of them
Have to agree Clinch gym is one of a kind. I remember playing there in the late 70's and there was no heat and it was freezing outside. The players played in their warmups and the refs wore their jackets during the game.

Yes - game is postponed until Jan 8th - or maybe another date?
Game was cancelled b/c of a very unexpected death to a Rockwood player's father I understand.
Condolences to this player, his family and the entire Tigers team.

GAME IS CANCELED!!! I heard it is rescheduled for Jan. 8. (Which stinks because the National Championship is that night). Does anyone know exactly why it is canceled?
Is this really true?? I was planning on going to the game.

I wasn't at the GP game but I read the box scores and neither Jenkins or Roane scored. I am assuming that they didn't play. What's going on with Cosby basketball??

This team is almost as talented and MORE athletic than last years team , but they lack chemistry and faith in each other right now. They don't need ONE person to step up they need to play together share the spotlight and listen to one of the best roundball coaches in the state and I belive they got a shot. This team is injured a little right now and havent really played together very long once all of that comes around we will see a better Cosby team.
The only part of your quote that I agree with is that they do have one of the best basketball coaches in the state. Everything else I will have to be proven wrong because I don't see it.

Gut Wrench Gary was really at the game. Gut Wrench Gary was on the field for some of the game and then Gut Wrench Gary stood along the sideline until Gut Wrench Gary left in the third quarter when he had given out all the MUFFINS.
Just wondering does Gut Wrench Gary follow basketball??
