Coach Jones would still be at Grundy if he hadn’t started helping football. Unfortunately he bought into what Tate was selling and it costed him. But on another note, I’m not sure how many games Grundy will win this year but regardless of record I hope that our county or school does something to honor the dedication of Ethan Nunley. He has stayed the course and when his fellow seniors left Grundy, he never waived. In my opinion he will go down as one of my all time favorite Jackets. Thank you young man!!!!!

Any word on how Grundy did last night vs Coffee in the scrimmage?

I just watched the game on our local provider channel. I truly hate it for the kids and I don't mean this the wrong way but I swear we are going backwards. Where are the fundamentals??? After a few shots of the crowd it looked to me that maybe 30 people were there. I truly feel for our kids.

Jason and his boys have been around our coaching staff more than anyone else the past 5 years including middle school. For him to be so down on Tate speaks volumes for me. I know Jason personally and he is the kind of father that you need to be. HIS BOYS ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE AT HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!

Unbelievable!!!   Does any Grundy supporters besides myself see this post as a huge problem??? Anyways Tate/Jones vs Nunley Twins at halftime of York... at least we'd sell some tickets than!!!!!

Grundy kids will play hard but Tate is in over his head the rest of the way. York as bad as they want to!!!

I glad our boys were able to pull out the win. So proud of the kids that have stayed the course, it must be hard too but I'll always remember these kids as pure Grundy.

Hahaha. I have been wondering the same thing for a few weeks now. For the kids sake I say Grundy 20-6 if the game isn't cancelled due to no one there to work the chains.

Are you being serious? He really benched your kid for what you said on here? If so he needs to be suspended now. As a coach you never punish a kid for what a parent does or says. Please say your joking. 

Also a head coach of your only county football team should never ever get on this site.

Na brother your good. Your very knowledgeable about this sport. Like I said before you laid it on the line for us and I'll respect that.  The next hire we make I am going to personally find the guy and highly suggest he hires you in some form.

I never meant for this to be a peeing contest of Cawood or Holland... my point earlier was that the kids that moved there have helped SP in some form. Either way the kids parents made the best decision. At this point anywhere in better than here. A guy once told me that it's easier being stabbed in the back by someone you don't know than someone you know. Meaning I wonder if there's a little drama in every program?

Exactly... SP is becoming a better option for us now. They say their academics are the best in the valley now! And I hate Jasper!!!!

Del... I do think it's sad that our county hasn't done enough for the fishing team. Only a select few can play college football but we have the ability to fish for years after our high school days are over. Also I know this is an extreme but I think our school system should provide 2 to 3 decent bass boats so kids we don't have access to a boat can participate.

I'm not knocking your program at all. Ton of great athletes have played for you guys. Just saying the few mountain boys you guys have received are making a difference now. But I'm glad to know you guys would've won as many last year if Holland hadn't arrived. Guess we have misjudged his and Brayden's ability.

You think? I thought I'd never see the day when South Pitt would have to rely on mountain boys the past few years to get the job done! I guess we can be happy that we are turning into quite the little feeder program.

Wow...in 3 years he has changed QBs several times and offenses. The reason for this is only one thing. He never wants to put blame on himself (always blaming someone else for his mistakes). This county only needs one big CHANGE!!!

Here's my opinion...when we lose to Ezell, fire Tate and give it to Barger for the last 8 games on interim basis and see if he can somewhat turn it around and if can't than start fresh next season and hire someone new. 

Jnutz2...I think I figured out who you are and if so, you and people like your brother are the reason I still love this dang place. You were my heros growing up!!! I would try to be y'all playing in my front yard . Everytime I mention Grundy football to the youth of this county I'd mention y'all. Thank you for what you had to put up with in your career and also congrats on raising 3 great young men who wanted to follow in their father/uncle footsteps!
