Good luck to my little Border twins from Motown! I hope y’all show Upperman how to run the wingT to perfection. Macon co is a well coached team. Their coach grew up playing his first football in westmoreland and learning how to run the wingT from an early age there. Then went to learn from a genius at Oakland. Hes the best coach we have around these parts up here. It would be in westmorelands best interest to try to hire him away from the Tigers! I’m gonna say Macon wins this one in a close game

Does Chad know you feel this way lol

I think there are simular kids in Baxter, Allgood, Sparta, Cookeville, and Carthage. It's what you do with those kids and how many you get out playing. Not many programs around here have  4 year starters go on the play LB and start at TTU walking around the hallways. But losing a kid to go play for a private school in Clarksville, that could have paired up with him is huge. Good programs get, retain, and develope good players.

He went to play in Clarksville because Chad Watson is all about himself, so that had more to do with him than anything else.

I agree with that. Not to take anything away from Borders, he’s obviously a stud but Coop played his tail off tonight.

I think the difference was White had to play his butt off due to the lack of depth. Where as Macon was able to use more than just Borders.

Better team won tonight… better size, and way better conditioned. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a Westy D lay down like some did tonight… Kade Perry made what seemed like 20 tackles tonight and that should never happen as a safety. Cut the penalties and hold on to the dang ball and it could have been a different game. Seen some positives though for sure. I’d say Matthew Martin will be seeing some more playing time, and some more of the young guys played well. Long season ahead, even though I hate that ugly blue, good luck on the rest of the year MC.

Conditioning tonight is on the coaching staff. If it’s one player cramping you can blame the player for not hydrating or conditioning properly, but multiple players puts it squarely on the coaches.

You are correct that Matthew needs more playing time. He’s always been a baller.

That's something he knows more than we do IMO. But winning is a heavyy pressure felt being a coach at Gallatin where it is expected to be a winning program. Don't mistake me for saying it needs to be championship expectations from the fans year in & year out I'm not saying that. (Although that should be on every coach and player's mindset whether it happens or not.) If he goes to new school he can be closer to where he lived, and start up a new program that doesn't have pressure. He can build it in progression.

    He’s from Macon County.

    My 3A Guess:

Pearl-Cohn will move up and play 4A.  Who moves up from 2A?  Who else decides to move up to 4A?  These are anyone's guess.

    (7) Memphis East, Douglass, Wooddale, Hamilton, Melrose, Raleigh Egypt, Bolton will make up Region 8-3A.

    (7) Liberty Tech, Westview, Ripley, McNairy Central, Dyersburg, Bolivar, Covington will make up Region 7-3A.

    (5) Cheatham County, Sycamore, Fairview, Stewart County, Scotts Hill should make up Region 6-3A.

    (5) Maplewood, East Nashville, Stratford, RePublic, and Whites Creek should make up Region 5-3A.

    (5) White House-Heritage, Liberty Creek, Watertown, Giles County, Community should make up Region 4-3A.

    (7) Meigs County, Tyner Academy, Brainerd, Sequatchie County, McMinn Central, Chattanooga Central, Grundy County should make up Region 3-3A.

    (7) Loudon, Sweetwater, Kingston, Austin East, Alcoa, Scott County, Union County should make up Region 2-3A.

    (6) Gatlinburg-Pittman, Chuckey-Doak, Pigeon Forge, Johnson County, Claiborne County, Unicoi County should make up Region 1-3A.

I have no dog in this race, but region 4 seems jacked up. Giles County which is at the Alabama line and White House Heritage which is at the Kentucky line doesn’t make much sense to me.

Could the 2 players from Portland being out with broken collarbones from the previous week made a difference in this game? I heard #25 and another player for Portland didn’t play.

LOL a 27 point difference? It was 35-7 at half time, and Macon County put it on cruise control after the half.

I'm sure Clay County had at least one player hurt that contributed to us winning last night.

I am betting his son wouldn't want to leave White Co. and I don't blame him. He is getting playing time on a team that is in the running for their district title every year. Tullahoma, won't even get a chance to play on the final day of their district tournament. Would make no sense for him to even consider moving his son to Tullahoma.

Looks like Tullahoma proved you wrong.
