The difference between the first two games and last night is Welch did not play.
-
Westview misses their 6'5 post man. Got dominated down low all night. Dyersburg kids also showed some immaturity tonight with all the talking; meanwhile, Crockett just went to work and Welch put in grow man work.
-
Dyersburg goes down in overtime. Crockett missed a lot of free throws and if not the game wouldn't have even gone to overtime. Also never seen the call made on the last Crockett free throw, would love to hear the explanation on that one.

The rumors referenced earlier are true regarding Fayette Ware and the playing of an ineligible player.
The TSSAA has ruled that Fayette Ware played an ineligible player in its last seven district games this season and will have to forfeit those seven games. This ruling will change the seeding of the district tournament and the brackets.
As it stands now, with the updated records, South Side will be the number one seed followed by Lexington, Bolivar, MCHS, Chester Co., and Fayette Ware. Bolivar will face Fayette Ware in a first round elimination game in Bolivar. McNairy will now host the Chester County in a first round elimination game in Selmer.
The player for Fayette Ware in question had transferred in from Arlington and violated the TSSAA's residency rule. Fayette Ware submitted information and documentation to the TSSAA yesterday after being made aware of the possible violation last week, and the athlete in question was confirmed to be ineligible and will not be able to participate in the postseason.
-
Of course, the TSSAA could just stick to simple math. This past classification had the following breakdown: 13AA - 6 teams, 14AA - 6 teams, 15AA - 7 teams, and 16AA - 9 teams.
To keep the numbers the same it only requires adding Riverside, Scotts Hills, and Adamsville to 13AA while moving Fayette Ware, Bolivar and South Side to 15AA. Of course, Millington would move to 16AA as noted above. Simple fix and things remain the same as they have numbers wise in West TN.

Fair warning this will be long, but I truly think this is how things will play out:
I believe in West TN only 4 teams are questionable as to if they move districts and they are Millington, Bolivar, South Side, and North Side. I don't see any scenario in which Fayette Ware doesn't move.
The first step will be determined tomorrow with how many AA Memphis teams decide to play up, if any. Including Millington there are currently 11 teams in Shelby County slotted for AA. If all stay then you may see Fayette Ware pulled into a Shelby County district to form two 6 team districts. This is unlikely given the history of Melrose and Hamilton choosing to play up.
If Melrose and Hamilton play up, as I expect based on history, the TSSAA will have its first big decision in regards to West TN. Do they pull Millington into Shelby County for a 9 team district as they have done in Memphis in the past four years in AA?
If Millington goes to 16AA then it's possible to see a District 15AA composed of Covington, Ripley, Haywood, Fayette Ware, Bolivar, North Side and South Side. This would easily be the most competitive district in the state. Now before people starting blasting this idea lets take a look at a break down of driving distances in this scenario compared to the other district possibilities for Bolivar, South Side and North Side.
Bolivar in 13AA: 242 miles
Bolivar in 15AA: 224 miles
South Side in 13AA: 205 miles
South Side in 15AA: 213 miles
Northside in 14AA: 222 miles
North Side 15AA: 216 miles
As is shown, 15AA is a definite possibility for all three teams to make a 7 team district. The argument can be made that South Side in 13AA would be better mileage wise, but does the TSSAA try to finally get South Side in the same district as a school that is 9 miles away in North Side? This is why I think you might see this option in 15AA materialize.
Now if Millington stays in 15AA. This entire scenario switches and you might see North Side go to 14AA and South Side to 13AA.
One thing is for sure, we will know more tomorrow when the TSSAA release the information on who elected to play up.

I believe everyone in the thread agrees with that, all my post was showing is where teams fall right now based on previous districts. None of them represent what I believe will be the final districts. It was mainly for people to reference and understand where everyone currently falls.

This will be a long post but it's something that I think everyone will be interested in. Below are the districts as close to how they currently stand with all 111 teams and the new additions added in BOLD. As can be seen, I don't see anyway that West TN gets more than four districts. As such there will need to be rearranging of West TN districts as discussed above. Obviously Knoxville area (Districts 3, 4, and 5) will need rearranging as will district 8.
Notably one team I had difficulty placing was Cumberland Co. but I chose district 8 given proximity to Livingston and Alvin C. York

Another possible combo could be as follows based on geography (assuming Melrose and Hamilton elect to play up as they have previously):
13AA:
Riverside
Lexington
Scotts Hill
McNairy
Adamsville
Chester Co
14AA:
Obion
Westview
Dyersburg

15AA:

South Side
Bolivar
Fayette Ware
Covington
Haywood
Millington
16AA:

Trezevant
Raleigh Egypt
Wooddale
The determining factor will be how many Memphis teams choose to play up and what they decide to do in Knoxville, Chattanooga and lower middle TN. As it currently stands there are significantly unbalanced districts numbers wise that need reshuffling and likely reassignment that causes the loss of some classic district rivalries.

RealisticFan45 do you have some inside knowledge of the McNairy program? That's a pretty big accusation to throw around. I saw two teams that were competing hard last night, especially given that McNairy has lost two starters to disciplinary issues for the year. I asked a McNairy radio guy last night and Walker was injured at work (hand injury) and unable to play due to pain and wanting to be completely healthy for an elimination game.
