That's your opinion. What's in my post is facts. The series was dominated by Forrest and sadly the Cornersville crowd was so small they could've fit in our press box the last two visits to Forrest.

If I recall your loss to Riverside last year could only attract a few more fans than a Cornersville JV game. Cornersville playing Chapel Hill has no benefit for Cornersville. If the Bulldogs were to lose you would boast about it being equivalent to the second coming of Christ. If the Bulldogs were to win you would say that you had to many penalties and the refs stole the game from you. ( Heard that before.) How about letting the past be past and get on a Forrest thread that supports your team this year.

The difference is I said it would be a great game. Do you disagree that Cornersville needs to hold them to 21 or less to have a chance to win?

I believe the Bulldogs have the same ability to score as Whitwell. Defense will always be the difference in winning. Both teams are mirror images of each other. Should be worth the price of admission.

I know Cornersville is senior loaded and has been there, but I just can’t go against Whitwell. They seem to find a way every week when the outcome looks bleak. It should be a good game, but I said it once already. If Cornersville allows more than 21 points they can’t win this game. Their defense must keep it low scoring like the last few weeks to have a shot. The more points that are scored the more advantage toward Whitwell. The lower the points scored.. advantage Cornersville.

The underdog role. Perfect. That is where we strive.

  4. Respect is something earned not given freely. Things that were said to our boys and fans Friday night by a few Huntingdon fans do not give you the right to give advice on what is disrespectful. Probably not the best decision made by a teenager but you were all there once yourself. For you that no longer pull for Dawgs because of this pic, no worries the band wagon will still make it to Lake County without you. This thread is done. I'm out.

Looks like I'm a little late to the party for this thread. FINALLY... THE REMATCH! This should be one of the most intriguing games across the state in all classifications. So much hype surrounding both programs. The tensions will be at an all time high for these young boys. Paul Ward Stadium in November:popcorneater:

Huntingdon struggled up front blocking in the first half last week. Eventually fatigue took over & we were able to pull away. I've tried finding some film on Cornersville but haven't had much luck other than a few highlight tapes.

Just ask Jobres76 for some film. Based on his previous Cornersville stat post, he is willing to share any information to Cornersville's opponents. He must be a Huntingdon fan or a Cornersville insider who is not smart enough to shut up. I guess some just want to see their self at relevant. Which they are not.

Cornersville will benefit from a pop warner schedule to go 10-0, then they will face decent competition. At some point they will have to beat the Huntingdons, Lake cos, Greenbacks of the state.  Until then the rest of this is a joke.

You do realize that playoffs are based on your region wins and nothing else. Even the great Alabama schedules some subpar teams like Arkansas St., LA Laff. And the Citadel. Cornersville has been bad in the past and the Rockets are now. I tell you what, when the Dawgs are playing in playoff games and your sitting at home with all of your blue on with no where to go but a basketball game, put on your onesy , drink some warm milk and go to bed and dream of a better time for your "mighty" rockets.

Please tell me more about this large group of Forrest fans that travelled to Cornersville to cheer for the opposition. I came down to watch and cheer for the Bulldogs twice in the playoffs and took a day off of work to travel to Cookeville. Many folks from Chapel Hill did the same thing. If it wasn't for a handful of clowns on CoachT I may join the bulldog booster club. Several Cornersville facebook posts were shared all over town and some gave to the fund set up to charter a bus and feed the team.

I would like to see the county schools play as well. We played Marshall County last year in Middle School and it was a great game. No reason Cornersville and Forrest don't play high and middle school for the next several years. Based on youth league results - the games should be competitive.

I've routinely praised the current players and coaches at Cornersville on here and know several of them. They are awesome. A half a dozen obnoxious posters on here are not. It's difficult to discuss the latest Forrest thread on here without dealing with Cornersville trolls. Your success has been awesome; how a handful of fans handle it has not been. If they want to dish it out, get ready to take some good natured return internet fire.

Good post. Marshall county as a whole is represented when our teams do well, whomever it is. We all have our team and that is great. I do not know a true football fan who does not enjoy watching a team play. Debate is good as long as it is respectful. When it goes beyond that everyone gets defensive and the crap starts rolling.

I didn’t see a thread for this so I thought it would keep the bulldogs off the Forrest threads if everyone was talking about this big game!

Friday night the 2017 state 1A runner up Cornersville Bulldogs travel to Perry County to face the 0-5 Vikings. This is the first game in a brutal 3 game stretch by the Bulldogs where their next three opponents have a combined 2-13 record. Perry County is coming off a narrow defeat to a 2-3 Collinwood team 53-0. Cornersville just defeated Mt. Pleasant 48-0.

Who do you have in this one?

I guess the Refs picked our opponents since they also cheat the Rockets out of wins. No wait. It's the Russians.

That's why your fans are continually having to come on the Forrest page to get some CoachT action. Not much fun discussing this week's 49-0 rout of the next tiny undermanned school that your starters won't play past the 2nd quarter. Your powerful Middle School scheduled Flintville this year with 14 players and they decided to start the game with a running clock.

And yes, you were the faithful lone wolf back in the day telling us correctly to just wait a few years.

Your loss occurred a week ago. Lick your wounds and move on. I hope the Forrest coaching staff has because if not you'll be on here Saturday morning talking about how the refs cheated you out of another win.

Really ain't none of my business but I come from a program that's basically always good. I think y'all need to play a tougher schedule. Your program has come a long way and your ready to play teams like Columbia Academy or other competitive teams around you. It's not so hard to have a few years of good teams what's hard is maintaining that momentum. I'm an old guy played at Huntingdon in the 60's. For the decade 1960 thru 1969 our record was 85-14-4 with 90% of our games aga isn't school larger than us. You have the opportunity to build a sustained program. Playing a tough schedule will streghten your teams and the fans will love it.

Eagleville is our toughest non region game on our schedule. Success gives you confidence to schedule better teams to push your team. Also leaser teams will not play you. With a new 2year schedule beginning in 2019, I am sure this will be addressed by the Dawgs.
