Montgomery Central has ripped through the bottom feeders of the region with 2 games being a 1 score game. We will see what Central is made of this month for sure. Tullahoma has already beaten 2 top teams in the region.
It doesn’t always matter but both teams have already played 2 common opponents in Creek Wood and Hillwood. Tullahoma beat CW by 39 pts. MC beat CW by 7. Tullahoma beat Hillwood by 49 and MC won by 34. Will be interesting to see what if MC defense can hold Tullahoma under 30. Im going to guess 31-14 Tullahoma
I see central losing out in the region

Central will not win this game. I don't think it will be close.

Stewart County has picked up Gordonsville for this Friday night

Personally I think some schools are using the Covid excuse so they don't have to be embarrassed by a better team.
I agree with you. I don't know that to be true but it does look funny. This week's Hillwood vs. Pearl Cohn looks like that to me. Once again, Hillwood might have the cases but I'm like you, a lot of these games that are getting cancelled are lopsided games or games that people think will end that way

Fairview over Stewart County by 2 scores
Waverly smashes Sycamore in a game that is over by Halftime
White House beats Cheatham County in a game closer than the scoreboard indicates
Heritage cuts down penalties and finally gets the Offense in high gear to beat Franklin Simpson
I heard Franklin Simpson was pretty good. I haven't seen them myself though

I hear Fairview has a lot out due to covid. I don't know if that's true or not. Might be just rumors

Stewart County's game against Gibson has been cancelled due to covid protocol on Gibson's behalf. Anybody who is looking for a game please contact Coach Swartz or call Stewart County High School.

Stewart Co. coming off a blowout win against Norhwest. Gibson took a tough loss to Obion. This is also the return of former Stewart Co. coach Cody Finley as he brings his Gibson Co. team to Dover. Hope to see a big crowd. I predict a close game between two evenly matched teams.

Not knowing much about Northwest, who wins this one?

There are a lot of teams that will resist it but these would definitely be two. Shot clock is needed but will meet too much opposition.
I don't necessarily think it is needed. There are a lot more bad teams than there are good ones. Shot clock would make it worse. I have seen teams hold it for last shot and stall and to me, thats part of strategy. If you don't like it, then don't let teams do it.
-
Don't believe it will ever pass. It cost too much money to put the clock in and then have someone operate it. I don't want the shot clock personally.

Class A Gibson County, McKenzie, UC
Class AA Westview, Jackson Southside
Class AAA have not seen this class
D2A TRA, USJ, TCA
What about Summertown. I think they could play with those teams in single A listed.

Rachel Bell from Creek Wood that went to Vanderbilt was one of the better high school players i've seen as well

Basharra Graves was a great high school player that went on to play for Tennessee.

Heading into the new year, 2nd half of the season, who is the best team in the area in each class? From the few games I have seen and few articles I have read....
Class A - Gibson Co by a slim margin right now
Class AA - Jackson South Side by a landslide
Class AAA - Collierville is pretty good.
D2 - Tipton Rosemark
West Tn bias huh? I'm not saying those teams aren't some of the best but having the best team in every classification from West Tn? I doubt that but could be wrong.

I think the governor is just trying to do something to say that he did something. I don't think having grandparents in the stands would make a huge difference. However, you have to cut it off somewhere. There are some districts that are playing without fans at all including parents.

I don't know how many players Creekwood lost to graduation but I agree with you they will be favorites starting the season. The teams you got listed 2 through 6 should be pretty evenly matched. East Hickman has most of their starters back. Hickman County will have a new point guard, and a lot of their success will depend on how their sophomores step up. I agree with you the district has become more balanced.
I figured East would be solid with everyone returning. I wonder if they will stay with their same style under a new head coach. If I recall, their new coach was on the the previous staff so I imagine it will be similar.

Giles looks impressive so I expect it to be a tough task for the Rebels but I would love to see them the Rebels get the win.
-
Who wins the district this year. This is how I see it shaking out
1.Creek Wood
2.Stewart Co.
3. East Hickman
4. Camden
5. Fairview
6. Hickman
7. Lewis Co.
8. Waverly
I got a lot of questions and could see a lot of these predictions going up and down 1 or 2. The district is not as lopsided as it once was.

They got the wrong Stewart. The article did say Stewart Co. but that is not true. It is actually Stewarts Creek that had to forfeit because of Covid. Stewart Co. is all good for a showdown Friday night in their first home playoff game since 2008
Region 6-3A
in Class 3A & Class 4A

There is absolutely no way Fairview finishes fourth
