If you attend a private school and it doesn't offer wrestling what are the rules about wrestling for another school, does it also have to be a private school or can you wrestle public. If so is it the closet public school to your home address or the private school you attend?
Is the school part if TSSAA in other sports? If so, I believe the school must co-op with the nearest school. If not (meaning they are not TSSAA affiliated), then I believe it is treated like home schoolers and it would be the nearest school to you. At which point you have to contact the athletic director and submit a letter of intent to them, which is sent to the principal , then the county, and then TSSAA.

I'm sticking with Kramer over Boykin. Either way, this is probably the match I want to see most.
Lots of great wrestling tonight.

Palmer over Bowers... so much for an all region 4 finals.
-
Nobody can hang with bradley at wrestling they are the alabama of football they dont rebuild they just reload except i dont like bama
I seem to recall Alabama losing.

I saw the match with Kyle smith and Damon Smith and it was an absolutely robbing by terrible refs making terrible calls. At 138 we've wrestled Ingram and Pendley (4 times) and Pendley appears to be the better wrestler there. He has a straight shot to the finals and is my pick at that weight. Ingram will most likely have to get through the winner of Story/Wilkins. He beat Story at Independence this season.
At 170 Smith from Beech actually lost to Smith from WC. I was surprised by that outcome myself but, like you, could see Kyle Smith (Beech) fighting his way back to avenge that loss and winning the entire thing.
At 195, I like your bold pick. I'm not sure if that was just by looking at the rankings or if you've analyzed that bracket, but he will have a tough road to get to the finals having to beat two returning state medalists: Carney and Spangler. But that kid is good!
Just some thoughts. I think 138 is the only one I would have different.
The match before at 160 was also terrible calls from the refs.
Both matches were phenomenal wrestling, and the wrestlers deserve better refereeing than what we saw in those matches

Who got OW?
Kramer at 285
-
Team Race:
Beech
Wilson
Northwest
Mt. Juliet
Somebody better start scoring a lot of pts. If they are to get third place!
Got 7 left in final 4 ?
Not sure what happened there. Northwest not being nearly as competitive as I had imagined.
-
160 is another fun weight class with some great matches

Team Race:
Beech
Wilson

I believe it will be a tight race with several possible lead changes.
126 and 132 are among the most interesting with possible outcomes.

I will post predictions when the brackets come out. Not sure who has moved where.
-
Boykin will eat Kramers lunch
I don't think so. Boykin will likely win, but I won't be surprised if Kramer beats him. Kramer is the bigger of the two and surprising very athletic for a boy his size.
-
I predict no other region will win a duels championship for atleast another 8 plus years. Is that a bold statement?
Its both bold and arrogant. You may well be right, or you might eat crow. But to assume that other teams aren't gaining ground is very foolish. 8-years is a long time.
No doubt the Cleveland and Bradley were way ahead of everyone else this year. However, next year will look much different.
-
that's not good
The brackets show both Noga boys in the lineup. Guess he's back.
-
one of the Noga bros right? What happened to him?
Shoulder injury. Maybe a broken collar bone.
-
I think they are gonna make some of y'all "old skool rasslers" proud.
Bunch of cornbread fed boys thrownin hay bales.

I'd like to see a system sort of like North Carolina's, where their duals are wrestled like a football playoff bracket. Begin with 32 teams, and have the lower seeded team visit the higher seed. Wrestle that down to 8 teams and bring them all to the AG Center to slug it out. Like the old days, place all 8 teams.
That's a great idea. Too bad it will likely never happen.
-
isnt that what this sport is about? If you get the right matchups, if you get bonus points, if you give up bonus points. Or like when Wilson upset Soddy in 2013, if you do..or dont..show up to wrestle
Touché
-
I go to Cleveland, and all the wrestlers are way too cocky. I know it sounds strange but I predict Cleveland loses to Summit.
No chance this side of heaven for summit to beat Cleveland.
-
nooooooo. Get outta here. Thats insulting. TN is on that level. Would be a bit of a surprise (to some) but nothing like that... biggest upset of the last decade..come on dude lol
A bit of hyperbole. Nonetheless, that's a lot of ifs.
-
If they get the matchups they want, get bonus pts out of their studs, not give up bonus points in losses, they can do it
That's a lot of ifs. It would be the upset of the last decade.

I'm not convinced TN gets past MJ. There's a lot of tough matchups that could go either way. MJ has a lot of depth. But TN beating Bradley? Not a chance. Maybe if the whole team comes down with the flu.
-
Even more so today. After districts this statment is even more true ^ dont sleep on either of those teams. Both will give Wilson all they can handle and could surprise some people at duals. Whichever one makes it
Wilson smoked MJ at the district dual.
