  1. If Jordan Barber would just score and not dunk it this would be closer. And Parker Brown turning the ball over trying to make an and 1 mixtape will cause the Vikings to lose. Wildcats defense is spot on and Vikings shots aren't falling. 3rd quarter 3 min to go 35-25

  2.

I really thought the run PC made just before half capped by the turnover and dunk at the buzzer was going to get PC going and change the game. Summertown responded well in the 3rd.

I credit Summertown's defense on their win over the Vikings last night.

  3. Really Vol2Vol2. How can you seriously blow it off as a PARENT problem? The problem squarely points to the coaching at CCHS! I think if you care to check you will find that those players consistently beat or were very competitive with all of the area elementary and middle schools in the upper cumberland region. The same schools that feed all district 6AAA teams. BTW, they also beat middle schools from metro areas like Bradley/Cleveland and Knox county! That's a FACT!!

Your right AAA is more competitive. It then comes down to developing players. That is the responsibility of the COACH! It's also widely known among people who really follow basketball in TN. that district 6AAA is consistently one of weakest AAA districts in the state. A solid foundation was developed before they got to CCHS. Next step should be to strengthen that foundation and build upon it. They know what it takes to win. A good COACH figures out how to bring out that competitiveness in them. That person makes a HUGH difference! It's obvious why they are not competitive!

All due respect, you can not compare "elementary" nor middle school basketball to high school ball. I understand you have near identical line ups as you did in middle school but as kids grow and like you said coaching changes. Players get better and progress while some players don't mature as well. But you can't take a way from the coach you are blaming the problem on. He has won district championships through out his entire career. Pointing fingers at the coach will only make your problem worse. You get home after the game, your athlete hears your opinion. Sides with your opinion since things aren't going as expected. Before you know it a cancer has grew amongst your team and opinions slowly tear a team apart from each other and or there coach

  4. You are one of the first to accuse Trotter of dirty play, that I have heard of anyway.. I would say he plays hard, but not dirty.

As far as PC, I noticed the big kid shooting a 3 on one of their first possessions but can't remember any after that.. as far as Brown goes, I think the face guarding took him out of the flow of the offense, which crippled them.[/

At the Vikings gym there was some pushing and jawing. But that's what creates rivalries and emotional basketball. Hes not playing like Grayson Allen for Duke. I agree with you cbball... As far as Brown, you can't take anything from the Summertown defense. They did cripple him face guarding him. But overall, the Vikings were out re bounded and flat out out hustled.

  5. Perry county did not show up tonight defensively nor rebound wise.. Young and Perry were the only two that showed up. They had a big guy, Barber shooting threes.. Why I don't know? And leading scorer P. Brown can't help the team win with style points, selfishness, and playing lazy.

As far as Summertown, Perry played good and Trotter didn't throw his normal tantrums nor played dirty. Good win for those guys at home.
