You don't go much of regions do you ? 4 match ups here were wrestled in regions and the opposite wrestler won I like your thoughts upsets .
-
DII has more quality less quantity. DI for sure has way more depth then DII, but in a DI DII matchup DII wins
-
A lot of DII here
-
List them and let's get some conversation in here
-
King gets it unless either Reiniche or dendy pin out
-
In yalls opinions who should be the favorites for OW in all three divisions?
-
yes he was. He also lost 8-4 that previous weekend to a much more physically developed junior from FRHS. It was 3-0 or 2-0 heading into the third period against FRHS in the state finals and Reiniche tried to win the match and ended up giving up major points. But yes I had forgotten he gave up a 5 point move from the top position one match out of his 3 year high school career. My badWasn't he just an 8th grader then?
-
I wanna know who the real coach T is
-
He rode for almost a full period. Shape is always an issue with Dendy but in the matches I have seen him wrestle this year it has not been. This one is too close to call in my opinion but a turn is not necessary. The wrestler who gets a takedown wins this match and Dendy was very close last weekend. Both tough on top and bottom both but slightly defensive wrestlers on their feet. Someone will slip up and make a mistake like Dendy did this last weekend and that will cost them the match. There might be a little extra in the line in the team race as well. This is a HUGE match. Can't wait to watch!!
Gonna be fun to watch for sure man! And just one last thing I'm gonna say on this but yes dendy almost did get the takedown in the first but Reiniche being the resourceful wrestler he is was able to scramble out of it. I see this being how Reiniche scores his points in the finals match from Dendy's shots creating scrambles and capitalizing on them. But can't wait to see this play out.

IMO Dendy and Reiniche are the best match up in almost the whole state. And I give credit to both kids on staying down a weight when both could have gone up to 60 and had the easiest state bracket in all of the state. Reiniche won the first match by fall, and I expect dendy to come back with a little something to say about that, but I see Reiniche weathering the storm and being in better shape then dendy is to win the match in the third. Dendy to have a chance at winning has to turn on top but I have never seen Reiniche be turned while on bottom against anyone in his high school career both instate and out of state. So I see this being a very tall feet. For Reiniche to win he needs to escape bottom and push the pace on his feet. This should be a very exciting rematch if both wrestlers meet in finals.

I believe Christian Brothers still has a big chance to sneak in and win it. They did beat Baylor for 3rd 38-26, with Nicholson having to forfeit halfway through the match that he was winning. I do understand how tough it is losing Nicholson, but dont count out the Bros this weekend.
This is very true. I see bros placing high for sure and if some weights go their way they could sneak a victory in there. One weight that really could help them out is if Eli hodge was able to beat Bryce wittman from MBA.

Even if reiniche didn't get the pin he still would have had the reversal making it a 2-1 match reiniche still winning. And whose to say dendy can get off bottom with reiniche ?
-
D1 big school Bradley is obvious choice but I could see Cleveland pulling the upset D2 father Ryan is obvious choice but I could see both mccallie or Baylor pulling off the upset. Would be hard for Christian brothers to pull of the upset without both Nicholson and Griggs.
-
Father Ryan with 8 champs woah. Tough tough to beat with 8 champa
-
Heck of a seeding job done by whoever did it. Not sure I have ever seen all #1 seeds winning at any tournament.

Dendy wasn't "caught" by reiniche IMO. Reiniche defended where dendy was best, which is on top, and did the correct leg defense and put himself in position to creat a scoring opportunity. Now I did think that time ran out, and that the McCallie coaches should have questioned that pin. But overall I'd give this a big win for reiniche being able to fit off of the crazy good legs by Dendy.

If dendy or Reiniche move to 60 they are looking for the easy way out. I hope both wrestlers stay at 52

No real need to predict regions in DII, so why not jump right into predictions for state.
