Because a TEAMMATE would never drop a team half way through the season.  Anyone that has an "all about me" mentality is not good for a team- no matter how many points they are scoring.  Basketball is a team sport.  It is really hard to get down to your mentality level to explain things- so stop me if I'm going too fast for you.

College coaches like winning and have to have talent to do so. She will be fine.

What rumor?? Did she wear black and gold tonight? She is not and will not be a Bearette this season. Facts: she did unenroll at Bradley. And then once she found out she was ineligible at Cleveland she reenrolled and asked for her position back. She was told no. Whatever happens next season is unknown but this year it will be the girls you saw on the floor tonight. And no it isn’t funny. It is what it is. You don’t walk away from a team.

Y'all will not make state without her this year. Good luck though.

This entire thing is on Reuter.  He allowed her attitude and behavior get to this point.  He is the best of the best at allowing his “perceived” best player get away with much more than others.  The best player can make the same mistake over and over and over and then another player to make it once and they get pulled. It’s a fact.  Kids and parents quickly loose respect.   But when you are loaded from top to bottom on the roster, you get as he calls it “next man up”.   However,  they will not repeat as state champs, and I would be surprised if they make it Murfreesboro.

Oh snap, you called her the best player. You just crushed the feelings of about 5 mouthbreathers in here.

IF he does allow her back on the team, one stipulation should be that her parents are not allowed at any game.  and if they walk in the gym- she has to sit the bench.

Yep no ax to grind here lol

You should stand at the doors of the gym and tell her parents to leave when they show up. Should work out good for ya.

wait - I thought her parents had signed away the right to tell her what to do???

Unfortunately, the biggest loser in all this is probably the player. No matter what anyone says, this looks very bad to college coaches: Very sad.

College coaches will look down on a kid if their home life falls apart?

    Everyone at bradley this dumb?

  6. 32 minutes ago, bleedblackandgold said:

The sad thing is that the kid wants to play and her parents have forced her to quit.  I am sure that every Bradley fan wants to see the team back together.  It is frustrating.

You have no clue. and the more you post the worse you come off.

The condition appears to be a court ordered custody change and a release from previous school principal that says it was not made for disciplinary or athletic reasons.  That would make it pretty difficult.

Here you blackandgold, since you have no clue maybe just sit a few plays out. You are embarrassing your entire fan base.

Think the “court-ordered” the by-law is talking about is where a child is in a home where there are unfit parents and the court takes custody away from a parent and gives it to another party. Kinda the way I interpreted it.

Yes and these clowns are in here poking fun and wishing more bad things to happen to a teenage girl.

    These dudes are sick.

Everyone knows where she went to Middle school. I will spell out for you what I was saying so you can understand.
She must not have lived in the City of Cleveland in Elementary school because she went to a County school.  Did she move to the city between 5th & 6th grade, or did she just decide to attend Cleveland Middle? I don’t know & I don’t care.
The point was that she must have lived outside the City during elementary school, so it’s not too far fetched for her to attend a non-City high school.

Yeah I did not ask any of that. Just asked where she went to middle school.

Try not to bag on reading comp when you can't answer very simple questions.

You would be a good reporter for CNN or MSNBC.  If you don’t have facts, let’s just make something up...

her life was flipped upside down because she wasn’t the MVP of the East Hamilton win?

That is not the story that matters. If that has to be explained to you then you must lose your breath when you eat. lol geez

Reading comprehension is not his forte...

Because I asked you where she went to middle school and you replied with "A county elementary school" ,when you knew she went to cleveland?

Starting to think  we have a whole community of mouthbreathers in this town

it was not court ordered- her mother voluntarily signed over rights.  big difference.  you're dumb

Already stated in here it was court ordered. Unless you have first hand knowledge id leave it, or you come off as a mouthbreathing hater

They are trying to beat the system because they are upset at the coaching at BCHS.  Even if she had to change guardianship- she could still go to Bradley.  Her sister is still going there.  She don't need a change in guardianship.... why is that? Because she dont play basketball.  Her parents want her be top scorer and the MVP of every game and that isnt happening.  She hasto be coddled and given special privileges.  No one is bashing the player.  this is her parents doing and it is affecting not only her team but her too.  The only thing I have said is that any player on that team can be the MVP on any given night.  Her move will definitely affect the team.  She will be missed.  But not one player will make or break any team- not even Lebron.  QUIT PUTTING WORDS IN EVERYONES MOUTH and listen to the facts.... this move is solely to play basketball.  Nothing else.  It has been said on here she didnt want to leave Bradley- her parents are forcing it.  you are gross!!  and ignorant.

Man this teenage girl is really doing a number on you. Had a court ordered change in guardianship and you still want the worst for this girl. You are sick. You might need a break from this.

  14. 17 minutes ago, BasketballVol said:

I guarantee you that Bradley will not sign off on that

Yes they will, you don't want to be on the wrong side of that, trust me. You want news vans at your school asking your principal why he wont let this girl that had her life flipped upside down play ball?

Mr two pairs turns everything around.  Stirring the pot. Let's just say gloves is the only thing he has a pair of.

Dude you are wishing college coaches drop this girl and that she won't be able to play the rest of the year when she has obviously had something severe go down in her life.

You have no class and it has shown in this whole thread why you breath through your mouth.

Kinda sick how you have it out for a HS kid going through a home life change. Gross

This is true, they seem to always allow transfers to play. I am just wandering what story they can come up with to gain the hardship?? Everyone in the state knows this move was made for basketball reasons, and with her being a high profile transfer there will be a lot of eyes on this. I do not see how the state can justify making her eligible.

Also going to be hard to say it is for basketball reasons when she is the best player on a defending state championship team. Why would one leave that if not due to a hardship.

She will not be eligible. She is transferring for basketball reasons, there is no other reason that they could possibly come up with. Even with the change of guardianship, It will not matter. If you change schools for athletic purposes you are ineligible. She will not suit up for Cleveland until next January.

Even if she is moving for basketball, they have to prove that. She changed guardianship and that will be submitted as the reason. Even if everyone knows it was for basketball, that wont matter.

So the poster above said you have to live 12 months to be elgible after custody is given up. If that is true sounds like she would have to move into another house zoned for Cleveland or in their bus route right? Don’t know by-laws of TSSAA but have heard that by laws states that transfers because of sports only is prohibited. I do know that this is not enforced.

She will probably get a hardship since switching legal guardians.

And - is she still eligible to be the District MVP? :roflol:

    #MVPsbullymyfeelings

Was already the best player on Bradley, now she will have an MVP for two really good teams.

I'm sure college coaches will take notice.

Hope your daughter can win the spirit award so maybe you can find some peace.
