  1. Millington has had a great season and y'all aren't lying, their QB is a heck of a talent, but do they have enough to stop Haywood? My guess would be no, especially looking at the fact that they have to go to Haywood and get a victory. Playing in Haywood can be tough, especially during the playoffs. I like the Tomcats to win and advance with a score margin of at least 17 points. :thumb:

  2. This was a close game early last time out and got away from the Tigers right before the half. Their offense never showed up to the game, so same result if that's the case again, but if the Tigers can get something going early, we might have ourselves a different ball game. But after seeing the score from the Sheffield game, makes it hard to believe they can actually overcome the Chargers! :thumb:

I in no way, shape, or form insinuated any kind of dirty antics. It happens! It happened on Dyersburg’s sideline. Nothing dirty about it at all. Now if you want to talk about the damage that the Ripley players did to his parents’ vehicle AFTER the game, we can talk about how dirty that was. He was fighting for yards, as he will always do, because he is a fighter and competitor.

Let's see some proof of this damage to the QB's parents' vehicle. That seems like an outlandish claim! How would they know what vehicle the QB's parents are driving. On top of that, the opposing team's buses have been in the grass on the other side of the stadium for the past few years now. The same place the opposing coaches and their staff park. How would someone not see if players were doing something they weren't supposed to? Don't talk bad on kids if you don't have some type of proof to back up your claim.

  4. I think it comes down to the same thing every week with Ripley, what Ripley team is actually going to show up on Friday night. They are a great ball team when they want to be, but they have yet to win any "big" games this year. Dug to big of a 1st half hole against Crockett Co & couldn't find a way to get over the hump with Westview, but if there is any year for them to end the losing streak against the Chargers, it's this year! You can throw on Covington, that has been proven this year, but can they get a run game going as well? Ripley has athletes on offense and a defense that's really tightened up after giving up 42 to Crockett Co. If they can stop the Chargers rushing attack & complete some big passes down the field, they definitely have a chance in this one. I think the Hatchie River Rivalry may truly be back this year. I'll take the underdog that no one will give a chance, Ripley 34 Covington 28! :thumb:

  5. Haywood has figured it out and playing some good ball right now. Crockett County is going to bring their best effort and will more than likely be the more disciplined team in this contest, but Haywood's explosiveness and overall team speed will be the difference in this one! Haywood by 2 TDs! :thumb:

It will be over by halftime. The View has it figured out now. Next week decides Region Champ. Covington way down this year. Plus historically after the first 6 weeks grades comes out Covington is usually in trouble any way!

I love the confidence of you Westview fans, but it's time to pipe down a little bit. Starting Friday in Ripley, your gauntlet begins. Ripley, Dyersburg, & Covington will prove how good of a group yall got over there in Weakley County. But the athletes are a little different on this end of Hwy 51 compared to what you've played so far. Ty Simpson and Quincy Hamilton are no longer there! #1 is a great player that has a bright future ahead of him, but let's see how he matches up with the other top athletes in this region, because he's proven nothing at this point.

As far as this game goes, if the Westview players and coaching staff are anything like their fans, they will be headed back up Hwy 51 with their tails tucked between their legs. The last two meetings were fairly close. In 2021 it was a close score at halftime and then Ty Simpson took over. In 2022, Westview won by 2 TD's and Quincy Hamilton took over and pulled that one out. Ripley's youth that took their lumps over the past two years are juniors and seniors now and have looked very dangerous at times this year. Overall, Ripley has more athletes and more experience than Westview. You don't know their names yet, but everyone doesn't get good media coverage across the state. Third times a charm, Ripley wins this game, no need to predict a score! Good luck next week in Dyersburg, I hope its everything you hoped for! :thumb:

  7. Is this the year the unthinkable happens???? I know things aren't great over in Brownsville these days, but how bad is it? Haywood's athletes usually dominate and win this game, but the Rebels have some athletes of their own and have been pretty tough this season. At the end of the day, you can't lose this one if you're Coach Puckett, the Tomcats don't lose to the Rebels, but I think this is the year. Rebels get it done at home! :thumb:

  8. Bolivar's QB can play some ball! Now he doesn't have enough around him to win this game, but they will score points and make this one interesting. I haven't heard good things about Covington's secondary, but offensively, Bolivar is not going to stop the Chargers. Covington by 3 TD's in a high scoring contest! :thumb:

  9. I mean anything can happen, but this will not be much of a game. Dresden is playing as good as anyone right now and Halls is in year 1 of a new regime. Good things to come in the future for Halls, but they may take some lumps this year. Dresden takes this one in a big way! :thumb:

  10. How is Scotts Hill this year? Don't know much about them. With the athletes Westview has, especially on the offensive side of the ball, they should be able to get their first W of the year. Again, don't know what this Scotts Hill team has, but #1 from Westview is going to be a nightmare. Chargers by 3 TDs. :thumb:

  11. Stowe and Kirby are going to run the football regardless, passing the football is not what has made them so successful in their careers. Being able to run the football and play good defense is always the key to a successful team, a great passing game is just an added bonus. Dyersburg will win this game and win Region 7-3A in the process. At home, playing a team that had your number twice last season, with a large majority of your team returning just smells like a revenge win to me! It will be one heck of a battle though. Can't wait to get to Dyersburg and watch this one Friday! :thumb:

  12. Westview almost beat Dresden with a 1 man show, that scares me about the Lions. I know they've been working heavy with that secondary this week, but all can't be fixed in one week. I know this isn't last year's McKenzie team, but I still have to lean that way. This will for sure be one of the best games of the weekend, but I like the Rebels by a TD! :thumb:

  13. Never thought I'd pick Obion County over Westview, but I like the Rebels in this match up. Things were clicking offensively for them this past Friday and overall I feel like they have the more experienced team of the two right now. Probably be a high scoring affair and #1 from Westview will definitely get his, but I'll take the Rebels by 2 TDs! :thumb:
