IF the Chargers are able to get a W over Dyersburg in a couple weeks the showdown for the 2nd spot will be the last week of the regular season when Dyersburg & Ripley go at it. I think that will be a pretty good game.

Not if Ripley plays like they have the past 2 weeks!:thumb:

Serious question. How good is Ripley?  North Side has been outscored 109-0 on the year and Ripley struggled to beat them 8-0.  That is a huge red flag to me.

That is the question we all want answered and we will get that answer tonight. The thing about Ripley over the past few years is you never know what team is going to show up on Friday night, the team that looks like than can compete with anybody or the team that's average at best. They have a lot to prove tonight to show whether they are contender or pretender, we shall see what happens! :thumb:

  3. Crockett County is back, they have definitely proved that over the past two weeks, but Haywood is a completely different animal! The Cavaliers will compete in this game, but Haywood just has more horses in the stable at the end of the day. Interested to see how the final score comes out, I'm going Haywood 35 Crockett Co 14. :thumb:

  4. Ripley's defense has looked good over the past couple of weeks and their offense isn't flashy but they will wear on you. Crockett County is much improved, especially offensively. I think this will be a very good game this Thursday night, but I see Ripley as the more physical team of the two. I'll take Ripley to pull this one out by 2 scores or more! :thumb:

  5. The way I see it in Region 7, Covington is a lock in the 1 seed. Dyersburg is down, you never know what Ripley team is going to show up, and haven't heard much out of the Millington camp this offseason. If Bolivar can beat Bolton again this year and find a way to beat Millington this time, they definitely can get in the playoffs. But Dyersburg or Ripley would have to be WAY down in order for them to get to 3rd in the region. Neither has looked that great in the preseason, but I do not think they lose to Bolivar this season, but hey you never know, that's why they play the games! :thumb:

  6. Union City pretty much handled the Ripley Tigers last season. New year and new teams, but should be a good game with UC going to Tiny Knee Stadium this year. If Ripley plays defense like they did against Covington and can run the football, they should be just fine, but consistency isn't the Tigers best characteristic. Expected a bigger score differential in the UC-GC game, so I don't quite know what to think. I'll take Ripley to take this one at home, 28-14.:thumb:
