He was injured last week against Beech, had a bye this week, not sure what his status moving forward is...
Man I really hate that.

Yo, I don't keep up with that end of the state. What happened to Crenshaw?

Good game for both teams to get ready for the playoffs. Bearden defense is pretty good and will be a challenge for AC to move the ball against. I would like to see AC win, but I think I will take Bearden by 24-21.
I think AC wins but i see it being a one score win for either side.

They will but IMO I would play smart.
This is why you don't coach. That's a loser mentality.

Mav, let me get this straight. unfortunately because it's a home game, the Mavs have to try to win? Are you sure you're still not puffin' up and down the river out there? Dude?
MIF doesn't know his own Nephew. Coach Gillum would never hold back not to win a football game non-region.

Beyond the growth, does anyone on here think for a minute that the TSSAA would cut back the number of classes knowing it would cut back their playoff revenue?! Follow the money trail. It’s that simple.
T$$AA is all about that money. They get half the gate of every playoff game.

6 Classifications is one too many. Go to 5 classifications and divide the schools up so that the number of schools in each classification is as equal as possible.
In D-2 3 classifications are too many. 2 classifications in D-2 with an equal number in each.
I think most if not all people would agree with you, but I dont ever see it happening. TSSAA also has an argument that Tennessee is growing in number so we would eventually need to expand back to 6A.
I definitely think they should go to two classifications for private school

Look at it this perspective. If we go for the tie we take the chance of getting players hurt in what amounts to a meaningless game. We'd possibly see AC a second time so why risk the season.
Non region game going for the win seems like a no brainer to me. Like you said why draw out the game

What schools will be new and playing D1 football? There's Eagleton and who else?
-
I believe the cutoff for 6a will be shelbyville central. I think east tennessee loses Oak Ridge and Cherokee is definitely going to 4a.

No critquing?
Anyone?
Bueller?
Bueller?
I'll take a stab. I put the cuttoff at Manassas High School being the largest 1a, and Trezevant being the largest 2a.

Not sure what region you represent, but it's always open season in Knox County.
Yep, just because a coach isn't personally actively recruiting doesn't mean they don't have individuals (parents) going out in to the surrounding communities and areas trying to bring kids in.

That’s the reason Alcoa decided to stay in 3A. It’s all a huge game. Our AD waited till the last minute to try to keep that from happening, but several went ahead and jumped ship and it cost them two seasons…
If no one plays up you have more 4a schools. Gibbs, Fulton, Carter, Northview Academy (over 800 students), AC, Seymour, South Doyle in Knoxville area now.
Cherokee is 4a now. Question is do they keep Seymour upper east Tennessee send Northview Knoxville.

I would agree with you if the teams currently in 4A stay in 4A… However, with past moves, I don’t see that happening. Then, the competition wouldn’t be any better than what we currently have….
There was a bunch that chose to play up 5a when there was talk of you all going 4a

I had to hit the edit button quickly. I knew counting wasn't my specialty.
I'd like to see how people think the classes will break down region-by-region. I'm not even remotely close to that yet.
Im only familiar with east tennessee and a little of middle tennessee. I would not be able to do regions in west and middle tennessee

I don't see White Co dropping down to 4a.
They'll either be smallest 5a or largest 4a. They have 1113 and James Lawson (Hillwood) has 1121.
