Scared?
Yeah, that wasn't the reason

I'll go on record and say that I've never been a fan of York since I was in middle school we scrimmaged them back in the 90's and we arrived to find out that we was just going to scrimmage on half the field and coach Diggs told us to get back on the bus
-
I'm going to take oneida 21-14. I could see TL chewing up the clock keeping the ball away from York as long as possible.
Which he does very well and should be easy considering the depth we have at RB.

Josh Terry was named the new head football coach.

Bledsoe County here is Oneida's playbook!
1st Down: Run left or right tackle
2nd Down: Run right or left tackle
3rd Down: TE screen, RB screen, QB draw (RUN) and maybe a rollout left or right
4th Down: Punt
I would feel comfortable even saying fullback dive on 4th and 7

I have always enjoyed watching great kickers in high school. Especially coming from small schools. I remember back in 2008 when Trousdale had a great kicker.
It's good to have one in your back pocket when you need 3 late in the game
-
Hoping the Indians can get something going this week.
Im going to venture and say 28-0
-
We did not keep the ball away from Meigs. Missed oppurtunites and penalties (could of would of should of) that's football.
My point is oneida is one dimensional.
-
I feel like oneida shot theirselves in the foot tonight. Meigs scored off the turnovers which is really the difference in the game.
One thing that bothers me is late in the fourth we are down a few scores and we bring the punt team in on 4th down. We have nothing to loose at that point so why surrender.
My opinion after watching tonight's game (which doesn't matter) Is oneidas play calling was horrible. You look around our region and the teams that are going deep in the playoffs PASS the football and actually keep defenses on their toes. I know that TL is smash mouth football which is fine butttt in today's game you have to spread it out. Teams are getting better and better and oneidas coaching staff is falling behind.
We never put a emphasis on the passing game. if you don't do it in practice you can't expect to be successful at passing the ball in the game.
Teams beg Oneida to throw the ball. Constantly have 8-9 guys in the box. We have to be the easiest team in the state to scout.
-
Rockwood better score every chance they get because oneida will burn the clock. Oneida will have the most time of possession tonight.
Clock management!!

It's going to be a good game. Can't wait to get out and enjoy a good night of football!!

4 of 9 passing last night. Made up about 111 of our 250 total yards. 62 of it came on a screen pass to the TE, 41 more on another pass, 8 or 9 on a 3rd play and the 4th completion was for no gain. This on a night that running the ball wasn't very effective.
Long story short, if you don't like watching a 2 TE power I running game 85%+ of the time might not wanna spend the 6$ for a ticket. Like OnB said nothing wrong with it, in fact me and him both like that style of football. Its just extremely hard to make a deep run now days with that style offense. We did it in 2008, Union City makes it work semi regularly, Alcoa made it work.
That's true but 2 of those 4 completions where TD throws. Running the ball wasn't effective because Harriman had the box loaded up all night. It's just good to see that Oneida has a QB with a arm when they need it.
People are going to pay the 6$ regardless of what plays TL run!

Really wish they would utilize his arm more. Tonight we saw what happens when a team can stop the run.
I agree. I believe he could be a big threat if we could open some pass plays up more often on 1st down. Especially with the schedule we have coming up. We had some receivers drop really well thrown balls tonight that could of been big plays moving down field
-
That was a good game to watch tonight. Oneida gave up some big plays on defense. Oneida's QB has a excellent arm. Really impressed with his throws tonight. He's got a good future ahead of him.
-
Oneida by at least 3 touchdowns. Watched Harriman earlier in the year not to impressive they have a little speed but nothing that oneida isn't prepared for!
-
Honestly one of the better high schools game that I have watched in a while. Great game by both squads. It took a little bit before our O-line got it going but they showed up when it mattered most. Proud of the Indians tonight they showed some heart!!
GP kicker is A++
-
I'm going to take Scott 21-7. Anxious to see how the QB develops through this year. Lost a lot of keys players last year at a lot of skill positions.

Hope GP hydrates better this week. They had way to many kids cramping up.
Same here. Oneida had several kids cramping last week.
-
Me too. But it did look like #6 could make some good passes when he had blocking
-
Harriman by 36
-
One thing I noticed last night is how quick Claiborne was able to to get to our QB the few times that he did drop back to pass. Hopefully we can work on that this week
-
On a side note: Claiborne has a good band
-
Oneida's having a lot of cramps tonight. Gonna have to get these boys hydrated!!
York @ Oneida

I'll say this about Alcoa meeting York.....Alcoa is on another level. Great game last night. I was hoping we could pull it out. We had opportunities to score on Yorks turnovers and just didn't capitalize. When your playing teams like that you have to take advantage of those turnovers and we just didn't last night.
Best of luck to York the rest of the season!
