Forums are, by definition, a place to exchange view points, so it seems completely reasonable to discuss concerns about TN wrestling on a forum dedicated to TN wrestling.  Issues such as the chairman of the twf taking his children on team tn trips for free which is akin to him being paid for a volunteer job, or money being made on the ordering of gear, of balance sheets being provided for money collected for trips and where that money was spent would all be appropriate topics for this forum and thread as is the current discussion.

Other than calling 911, what would a reasonable person be expected to do in the case of a house fire?  Firemen suggest laypersons stay out of the way and let professionals do their jobs.  No need to get for one to get in over his head simply because he is looking for credit of accolades.

P.S. I think you meant "were you" not "we're you".

It seems that if these are legitimate issues, were they brought up at the annual meeting. If they were not, then it sounds like they are baseless allegations of men who would rather find problems than solutions. Find a way to help.

P.S. I think when a man is out to do the right things in life, people follow.

Lastly, this whole thread seems personal.

Just curious.. is this the same board that voted the Ironman from Blackman to Summit in the months after trying to withhold Blackman's fair share of the deal? Maybe the same one who gave Franklin the FS/G State Tournament but in another "meeting" took it away? Or is this the hand of the guy who "weighed" his own kid at his house? Not at the designated weigh-ins! Too much shady stuff going on, regardless of what progress is being made. Might be time to reach out to USA wrestling.

We're you on the conference call, and if you were did you bring up these issues, but if you were not do you really care about making the TWF better or just whining on this forum. Looking back on your past posts, one could conclude that you like to stir up drama but don't have any real drive to make things better. You remind me of a guy who is witness to a house on fire and just sits there, doing nothing to help, then makes comments on how pretty the flames are. Have you ever asked the TWF board if there is anything that you could do to help out. Seems like the right thing to do.

The cost of the trips have been lowered because Allan Jones cut the TWF a check for $17,000 in 2016. Will the trips continue to stay at the cost they are now?  Is that $17,000 gone?

Are you looking for fault in what you as a past member of the board were helping grow?

    Update:

TWF extended term limits of officers and board members (this appears to have been done by the board and the executives without a vote from members and was done between the last meeting and this one).  No change in leadership.  Accountability and balance seem to be limited with terms extended and accountability resting the hands of those involved. Officers and board members can be removed early from a vote of no confidence by the board.  The problem lies in the fact that the two top executive officers have been appointed as board members.   Other than that not much seems to have happened.

It seems that according to the bylaws on the web page that board members have 3 year terms.

Please visit theTNUSAWrestling.com web site to view the bylaws.

As for the Board, over the past 2 years the TWF has grown, Reasons why:

Cadet team going to the Cadet National Duals for the 2nd straight year. After a 4 year lay off.

Reduction in National Team duals fee. SCHOOLBOYS $450 to $300 Cadets $650 to $500 and Juniors $650 to $500.

Junior National Team finish 8th at the National Duals.

2nd Year that accounts are closed with money in the bank.

Multiple National Champions along with participation numbers at National events at an all time high. Example Fargo wrestlers up.

Club and Coaching participation numbers at an all time high.

National Womans Team created and have 2 National Champions.

Athlete membership at 933 up form 2016 899.

Best of the Best duals being brought back with participation from State Champion from across the state and all divisions making it the premier event of the season.

So it seems that with just these few accolades that the leadership and the board are doing something right.

Participation numbers up, with using the same money as other boards, maybe less with a positive bank account.

Good job TWF, thank you for your hard work. Does not seem like you get enough praise for all your hard work.

It has nothing to do with Bowers. I'd probably go out on a limb and say that he never wanted to leave Cleveland in the first place. But rules are rules and it's clearly a violation. How can anyone that follows wrestling not know that. You gotta follow the rules and if you know the rules but break them anyways because u think your above the rules (and I think y'all know who I'm talking about) then you deserve what you get.

Who are you talking about here?
