The Tradition that all the past players and Coaches have worked for is gone.When people talk about Greenback its in a laughing sense.I was at the Seymour game and someone made reference of the Oneida score and a former Seymour player said I remember when you didn't want to scrimmage them!

Came down to watch thought with Coalfield a little down Greenback might compete.Worst coached Greenback team I've ever saw and that includes last years team!Offensive Coordinator needs to watch videos of teams he his playing before Fri nights!What a fiasco.Defense Coordinator hasn't a clue either.They need to clean house.Lot of talk from the older folks.It may be too far gone at this moment.Some one told me the laundry guy coaches the line?Can the HC not get a quality coach for anything?

I've given Greenback and probably other teams plenty of grief over the years but sometimes you just have to stir the pot a little on coacht ( ill probably do it again ) but I have personally never had an issue with kids transfering for whatever reason. Student athletes and their families have to make the best decision for them/their child. 

Word around Morgan County someone in your area has been contacting schools and reported that the New kid is not living with Parents or Guardian.South Pitt has the equipment to win it all don't let it slip through your hands!Cross your T's and Dot your I's.

Talked to a friend of mine from Cleveland has a Grandson at Walker Valley so second hand info.Walker Valley won the scrimmage as they should have.Sweetwater is in a total rebuild after their quarterfinals run last year and didn't look too good.Greenback Held Walker Valley to one score but he said Greenbacks offense looks bad.So sounds kinda like the past couple years for Greenback.Dissapointing for sure.

Ran into a fellow who does the area sports on the Web and he told me the ripple effect from the ridiculous Clemmer hire has Greenback sports on the edge of a death rule.Longtime girls basketball coach Angie Roberts Lucier has resigned after 20 plus years and Baseball coach Ridenour has also resigned.Both were against the Clemmer hire and were "The best hire possible " advocates.Ridenour had a stacked house with a team loaded with Srs for next year so that one was a huge surprise!(Dont forget Ryan had a huge hand in the 2018 Baseball State Championship!also a outstanding coach in Baseball too) Looks like Matt Brookshire hasn't even had a full year as sitting principal and has fell to the good Ole boy system in the school board.He and Jesica Spafford have ruined Greenback for not standing up for the School,kids and Community. Casteel may have been a thorn BUT he would have NEVER hired Clemmer--Straight from the horses mouth by the way!

Wonder If he used the Memphis rules for transferring or the TSSAA?

This is just crazy!Has to be the worst hire in all of TN high school football.Fired last year for his awful mouth,I heard he was also suspended a few years ago for same offense. Cant stay away from some of the mothers and never been a real coach.Hired by his rec league assistant Sargeant Newman on the school board.I really feel sorry for the Greenback faithful!

The 3A coach with small school experience would be a good catch.He and Ryan would definitely be the front-runners.Also heard about the one you are referring to I think.If he was 10 years younger I think he gets a real shot again.

This post caught me funny.A Coalfield poster calling team out for cheap shots!LOL.I watched this game Coalfield was very fortunate not to be down 21-7 at half.Greenback threw a interception iside the five yard line and also had a beautiful KO return for a TD called back for a block in the bac 50 yards from the goaline.Did you watch same game?Yes final 40-6 but Greenback even with their problems out played your team for better part of 3 quarters. Coalfield scored as a poster said from alot of short fields.Both teams played very undisciplined but Greenback won that part of the game also.

First Greenback game I've watched this year.You almost got it right.Greenback Defense played very well for 2 1/2 quarters and should have had the lead at half with the Kick off that's was called back.What is going on with the offensive side.21-0 To Oliver Springs and 40-6 to Coalfield?I saw good players allover the field you cant tell me they can't score on these teams?Coalfield was alot smaller than Greenback all over the field.Embarrassing loss.

Yeah but if Gordonsville plays a clean game and gets more disciplined they beat you much worse.In My Opinion it wasn't as close as the score indicated.I really don't think you fare well in a second game.

Impressed with Greenbacks D-line they dominated a much bigger Loudon team.Pressure all night on the Loudon QB.A couple misques or this game would have been a nailbiteri n the 4th.Greenback had about 26 players dressed I think and Loudon almost tripled them.Greenback Offensive play calls were different at times but all in all a solid game against a Semifinal 3A team.As a poster said the QB for Loudon is the difference maker.

I don't have a clue as to what SP was paying the head coach but he is more than likely going to triple his income if not quadruple his salary.  There are less than 1% of the people in the USA that would not take another job effectively immediately if someone is willing to triple or quadruple their income.  

In closing I want to ask a question:  If someone is going to lay someone off or terminate them do they give them any notice?  The answer is no so why should the employee give the employer  advanced notification that they are leaving?  

Then don't give people high expectations saying money has nothing to do with it and promise the kids and community the moon.Just come out and tell them--By the way I'm a greedy weasel and I'm gonna jump on the next best thing????No weight in this scenario.
