“Miracle” play is our WR burning a defender. Makes sense
I thought putting a fast big bodied receiver on a smaller corner and taking a shot downfield was considered good coaching. I've been wrong before though.

18 I think.
That's pretty big returning that many guys that have been to the show the previous year.

How many starters does Cornersville return from last years runner-up team?

I know how yours is, yes.
Easy boss, just cause your head is shaped like a bullet doesn't mean you a big shot.

enough with the too many classifications talk and the tennessee oc hire (they’re going to promote will friend btw so don’t get your hopes up)
what if if cornersville comes out and just whips whitwell up and down the field
like 28-0 at the half
42-6 final
what would y’all do then
I'm not saying that won't happen, but its about as likely as myself going on a date with Kate Upton this weekend.

Something interesting I found while searching for confirmation on the 13 counties with all county schools winning a title.
Comparing Texas and Tennessee football
Texas- 1,305 schools with football/ 10 State Titles awarded
Tennessee- 343 schools with football/ 9 State Titles awarded
I thought the amount of schools per championship was interesting.

I think they would beat Lake County similar to what you guys did, them and Huntingdon would be a dog fight just like this one will be. The only true big advantage Cville has, is they played in the State title game last year, they have the experience. As one fan said earlier, if the ball is in 31(Petty) hands every snap, I like the Tigers chances more and more, kid is a WINNER! We have seen some outstanding players (Aaron Swafford, Jeremiah Batiste, Heath Price) throughout our(Trousdale) season but Hudson Petty IMO has the biggest heart out of all of them, he had something like 25 tackles against us.
It seemed like the offense definitely took off against Greenback when Petty stepped in at QB. From what I have seen, he doesn't do bad tossing the thing around either.

I’m not sure Sankey would allow that.
Give me Kendall Briles and lets ride.
Kendall Briles would be a good one too. I think he may land a head coaching gig though.

Hubris is an amazing thing.

In my opinion, which doesn't mean a whole lot, this will be a hard nosed game. If Cornersville can grind it out for four quarters on offense with long, sustained drives, then that is their best chance of taking this game. The more opportunities Whitwell has to get those backs going, the tougher its going to be for Cornersville's defense to contain them. Better put it away though, if Whitwell has the ball down 6 with 30 seconds left in the game, I'm putting my money on the Tigers.

The Tigers will be fine. The players on that team are mature enough to handle a little adversity and use it to come closer together. The coaching staff will adjust as well.

No matter what they do they won't stop Dekalb. No matter how many transfers no matter how many prayers. No matter what you think Dekalb as usual Will hang 50 plus on them. Cannon is with out a doubt better now that the clown coaching is gone. But dekalb is absolutely loaded at the skill position. Loaded!!!!!!! Young but good players. No chance it will be over when Dekalb steps on the Field
Are we talking about the same Dekalb that just got railed by Upperman and Stone?

I picked Cannon in their first 2 games, but that is about all she wrote other than Grundy whom I think they will beat. 3 wins for the Lions this year, which is a big improvement.
Very well could end up that way. Like you said, that is an improvement.
-
Cannon is much improved this year. More than anything they play with grit. I don't know a thing about Dekalb, but I do believe Cannon will beat some teams this year that they normally aren't supposed to beat.

to those of you saying whitwell doesn't play anyone, the combined wins for teams on Whitwell's 10 game schedule are actually one more than South Pitt.
I don't think anyone is saying you don't have a couple quality opponents on your schedule. Trousdale and Pitt will tell the story of whether Whitwell is legit or not. Most look at your schedule and see your best win at this point is against Polk County, who's best win is against a 2-4 Tellico Plains team. Your first 6 opponents are a combined 10-24, while the last 4 are a combined 10-12. Remove Pitt and Trousdale who are 9-2, and the last two are 1-10. Regardless of schedule, 6-0 is 6-0 and those kids should be proud of where they are at this point in the year.
1A Championship Cornersville vs Whitwell
in Class 1A & Class 2A

No feelings hurt here. I leave those in the truck. If youre talking about the pass that sent Pitt to OT with Whitwell, the DB was in good position. 20 just made a play. Pitt is on their way back up though. We will be talking about you all this time next year.
