From what I was told from someone close to #25 is that he was 100% and was going to put up 350 yards on us. I can't be for sure if it was completely true, but was told that specifically.
Make no mistake about it, other than the quarterback read option runs, Huntingdon shut down RHS run game. 100 percent or not no one was getting through for most of the game. No running lanes at all. Mustangs had a good game plan

Tough to beat the #1 team in the state back to back games.
Yeah me and my buddy talking about that on our way home. Congratulations on the win, Huntingdon is as advertised. No excuses here (vandyfan)

My 2 cents, for what its worth!
Huntingdon/ Riverside is not a rivalry, however .. in Riverside's eyes this is the team they love to hate and have the upmost respect for. Huntingdon also respects Riverside immensely.
I have several close friends that live in Parsons, and they have kids who are starters on this team. They do not think they are going to run all over us, they do not think they are better than us at all. Riverside is well-aware that the record books are one-sided.
They are also aware that both teams are very good right now. This game is going to have a Playoff type atmosphere. Region championship could very well be on the line for this game. I for one am glad that this game is in Huntingdon.
If Huntingdon wins, it pretty much solidifies them as region champions which will mean we host all 4 rounds of the playoffs if we are able to advance that far. If Riverside wins, it will come down to there game with Milan. So again, huge game for both teams here!
Riverside is currently ranked #1 in state, Huntingdon is ranked #5.. but rankings dont mean anything! The game is played on the field not the newspapers.
I honestly feel as if Huntingdon's and Parson's rushing attack will eat up both teams defense. which team eliminates the turnovers? that could be the difference! Can Huntingdon continue to make its extra points? That could be the difference in this ball game as well!.
My prediction....
Huntingdon - 34
Riverside - 28
I agree w what bpm said, very good post. We are not disillusioned here. The utmost respect for Huntingdon. Horse I think said yesterday where is our posters. Most posts are smack and bold predictions. Hard to talk crap against a team this solid. Yes we are good as well but stacking up against Huntingdon will b a big test. Just hope it’s competitive and doesn’t come down to penalties

I believe someone was spot on! Great homecoming win tonight by the Lions!
Hopefully we can keep the momentum up and have a chance at the playoffs. It’ll be a tough accomplishment but I think our kids are capable!
What was final score

No doubt about it. We can talk, and speculate all we want around the water cooler, and on the T, but at the end of the day the boys must strap it up and play ball. Sounds like the boys in purple showed up ready to play tonight!
Yes they did. They had a great game plan exploiting the RHS weaknesses And almost paid off. Riverside led one time, the final score. Pretty impressive show by TCA

I agree, 100%! I have never called out a single kid nor have I ever been negative towards a single kid! Not only that but, in the same manner, I have never spoken negatively about a coach either! I have documented this before and many times, as well.
Now, if you guys want to banter about old girlfriends or claim that I’m feminine or even the history of my back to back championship game team, it’s all part of the banter we all engage in. I enjoy the banter, very much; as much as I enjoy delivering it. However, man, when you and the others start getting personal or strait up call people stupid and posting GIF’s such as what’s been posted, that’s carrying it too far.
Just chill out on some of that stuff before he begins shutting it down.
I’m sorry but I can’t help but not respond to this. I’ve listened to your repeated rhetoric on Lewis county last couple years and have responded w a lot of criticism that I still think was warranted. You spew the same garbage over and over and becomes tiring to say the least. Thing is u made your point but keep on beating that horse till their is nothing left and as a consequence no one takes u serious. And again I almost apologize but even w your last post. U say u have never criticized a coach? What about all those comments about coach Sharpe lol

FWIW, last year's Mt. Pleasant team was the most physical team we've played in the last 4-5 seasons. And that list includes Lewis, Waverly, Riverside, Marion, East Robertson, etc. Tigers should take care of business Friday as long as they don't self destruct with penalties or turnovers.
Totally agree

They have played 58 times with LC holding a slight edge 31-27. MP has won the last two meetings.
Hey man good to see you back on here. So what do you think of Mt.Pleasant. Ik they were good last year and had a lot returning but some have said not as good as last year

Their only win was against Humboldt. Has anyone watched them this season?
They should’ve beat Lexington but Dk how much that tells you. They will play hard but don’t have enough talent to hang w McKenzie

Frosty will not play nice after all them beating he got from Waverly when Matt was there. Frosty will hang 60 on Camden.
Really?

Riverside with another shaky start but adjustments made and the game played out like u thought it would. Just can’t do that in the big games. Now Camden and their high powered offense comes to town ending a three game road stretch. Ready to see how this one plays out as well
