The difference between Mitchell or Fairley and Collierville or Germantown is about like comparing Lake County or West Carroll to Henry County or Haywood. Its the same sport sure but entirely different leagues. I expect Riverside to keep it close but ultimately lose by 2 or 3 scores. Same thing I expect will happen to Union City honestly

    Pretty accurate statement

A lot of you are high on the panthers coming into the season but they open the season with their toughest game on their schedule against a team with a multitude of D1 recruits. I hope they stay healthy and have a good showing. Dragons 35 Panthers 14.

Yeah the Panthers definitely starting the season out with a bang lol. Think I heard six D1 commits and the biggest public high school in the state. Riverside having their work cut out for them is an understatement. But I believe the Panthers will have their moments. They are a strong experienced team, just a question of keeping all those horses they (Collierville) possess corralled. Biggest test the Panther secondary and guys up front will have this season

I’d have to go with Waverly #1. I’m not sure the rest of the region order. What’s your opinion?

Waverly will definitely b in the mix. I’ve saw on the boards mt. Pleasant has a lot returning and if that’s the case keep an eye out on them. Their coach has them believing and they were a very tough out last year. Traditionally Lewis is always up there but lost a lot. But qb maybe the best in the region

Sorry for all the posts. As I broadcast for WRS and my own company, as well as many years with various radio stations in the past, I am very well acquainted with the ins and outs of radio broadcasting as well as videostreaming. Im just trying to make sure the info is correct.

    No that’s been debunked

With NFHS, if you subscribe and make your team your favorite, that school gets half of the subscription.  Before last year, we had a young man at McKenzie that produced a great broadcast through NFHS with commericals, replay, the whole bit.  He had a trailer where he would sit as the producer, and had two McKenzie alumni as the play by play and color.  It was really well done. This young man now is on the road with Colton Dixon and designs all his lighting and concert prodcutions.  NFHS is better than nothing if you want to watch video.  I know several older folks here in McKenzie watch it.

I’ll give you that, that someone can refine it at a certain school but for many their is nothing extra like that. When ppl try synchronizing the radio w the live stream u might b a play ahead or behind. When we played Lewis co in playoffs only one camera worked on one side of the goal post. What I’m saying is that it is another rip off connected to TSSAA. Too much money goes to them for a poor product unless u from McKenzie and few others. Also it takes it away from local broadcasts that are live-streamed free with audio and better quality

Yes that is unfortunate. I have never paid for that junk. Complete waste of money, as I have heard the quality is trash and sometimes the game is never showed or "service" is down. I just don't understand why a school would pay a company, probably a large sum of money, to be so bad, when most folks could do a better job with their phones.

Your school system paid them 10,000 to install it and all that u listed is the end result. They must have a heck of a sales pitch though. Lot of schools has bought into it

I've always wanted to stream Huntingdon games, but doesn't TSSAA require payment to do so? or is that only during post season? There has been multiple times in the past I wasn't able to make the games and would liked to have watched the game. I know there are some people that doesn't go to the games, but would like to watch it.

Huntingdon made the mistake like many schools now that uses that NFHS network that scammed their way in and has all the rights to live streaming. All a racket w them and TSSAA combined

  8. Whenever the Jackson Sun got bought out by Gannet News Service sports in West Tenn went down fast. They didn’t want the coverage they did then. All they wanted was interesting stories like that involved a death or comeback from an injury. Notice the reporters there then aren’t now. They jumped ship and rightly so

Great list, and Tucker gets my vote from it. Admittedly, I didn't see all of them but Tucker was an awesome QB...nothing he didn't do well. Rice (the eldest) was right there with him, and probably was a better runner but didn't see the field as well.

Absolutely. Never saw such a pocket presence like he had. He’s got my vote

They also beat Bruceton away 28-0 when both teams were healthy that year.

Yeah think it was season opener or early game anyway. Couldn’t remember score. No disrespect intended just giving bruceton a nod. They had pretty good teams back then

  11. Still trying to get over the shock of Riverside making it to Chattanooga so haven’t really gathered up my thoughts yet. But very proud of the Panthers. They got it done when they had to and more than exceeded everyone’s expectations against Tyner. You could easily say they were the better team. The Rams were good but not to the extent of their hype. But they got it done when it mattered. Riverside more than had their chances but oh well that’s football, turnovers and penalties. Congratulations to both teams on a well played game

I’m just curious. With Riverside being a relative small and country school, similar to Hohenwald, how do the Hohenwald people/fans feel about them reaching the State Championship game before them?

After all the wins Hohenwald has had over the years; after all the high playoff percentage Hohenwald has had, is it not daunting that one of the rivals/premier opponents made it before them and that this opponent does not boast the same winning record? Does it gall that fan base?

I would not know as Page has been there for back to back/two years in a row.

Who cares. Your insight is noted
