I disagree with you on some of what you said. Just prior to last season Gary Rankin kicked a Mr. Football award winner off his team from the previous season. He is the winningest coach in TSSAA history. I played in Milan under Tucker and Morris. If you didn’t come to practice, make the grades and act right in school you didn’t play. Didn’t matter how much talent you have. Those two gentleman have 4 gold balls, 5 silver balls and 600+ wins between them. Today I am a “coach” in another “sport”. I have had groups win national competitions 8 times and dozens of awards on the state and local levels. My students know if they don’t practice like expected and make good grades and act right they won’t “play”.
I never said more talented kids that don't come to practice, make the grades and act right are always going to play. I said that just because a kid goes hard that does not guarantee playing time. My point was that just because your kid goes hard and gives it his all does not mean he will play over a more talented kid that may not go quite as hard as your son but does do everything asked of him. Bottom line is kids transfer all the time and usually when they transfer it is to a school where they feel they can get on the field. If a kid transfers in that plays your position don't let him take your spot. Don't just work hard, PERFORM!!!

I’m about to expose him for the liar he is. I know Tssaa would love to hear what’s really going on at BC. I’m tired of seeing these dang Cleveland kids and now WV kids?! My son has don’t nothing but go hard for BC and he’s never been given a chance. I got some good info though!
What do you have? Tell us all about it. Sounds to me like some new kids showed up and you know they are more talented than your son. Kids don't earn playing time just because they go hard. Fair or not the best. most talented players will play bottom line. Sure it is great for your best players to work hard but it doesn't always work that way. Show me a coach that plays kids on Friday nights just because they go hard and I will show you a coach that doesn't win many ball games.

Nah Floyd is a good guy I reckon. Freeman, I just don't know bout him when it comes to big games. I semi party with one of the coaches. Nothing negative I have been saying. Just stating the facts when it comes to this game. Maryville does have better coaching than we do. We are a undisciplined team as other Bear fans as stated also. Only thing I disagree on is that it won't be as close as most Bear fans thinks.
We will show up and play hard, but as the past several years has showed, we can not find ways to keep it close on Maryville. They're the only team in the chatt and Knox area that can beat us. Outside of Alcoa maybe. Just left from eating dinner with my nephew. Told him to prove me wrong. He told me that half if the boys was nervous about this game. That is one of our problems. Knowing that they think they're beat before they even get off the bus. They are scared of this game. They will show up. They will give it their all. It will take the best coaching of the year to have a chance at winning the game.
I'm sure they are nervous. I'm sure every kid on every team playing this week is nervous. But being nervous does not mean you think you're going to get beat. I agree with you that this is going to be a tough game to win but to sit and tell a kid they are going to get beat is crazy. At this point of the season, every team left is a good team and anything can happen. GO BEARS!!!!!

I'll say it 100 times PA. We habe the talent to keep up with them, but we won't. Got to do with coaching and discipline. Something Maryville beats us by a mile in.
I say 42-14 this time. Seems like we are the team that can move the ball on them, but unlike most teams, we can not finish the drives.
Go Away!!!! Your negativity is getting old. Have the coaches done something to you?

Your correct,In a 3 man front, the key is for those 3 guys to make the play. Now making the play doesn't always mean making the tackle. Those guys have to open it up for the backers to fill and if the DB O- line can handle their man without a double team, then it's a long night for your defense. If you have fast outside guys that can get around the DB tackles then DB has to do what they do best and hit it straight up the middle.Should be fun to watch
That is my point as big as you guys are and as small as we are can our little guys use their speed to force double teams so our athletic LB's can make tackles. This should be a great game. My prediction is the first one to 40 wins. GO BEARS!!!!

If hes better than the inside LB from Alcoa, and the #31 DT from Ooltewah, he's a darn good one. We have seen some good ones , and survived.
He is very good. But he is not the key to the game. The key is can our front 3 use there speed to make plays because it sounds like you guys are very big and talented up front on Offense.

No, I do not Pa. Just being a hurtful realistic person saying that lol. Hope we keep it close at least!
If we have ever had a chance to beat Maryville this would be the year. I feel we can play with them if we play a complete game all 4qtrs which we have not done yet this year. We have played some very impressive halves but have not put 2 together yet. Maybe we were waiting for this game. We will see tomorrow night.

Last regular season game at home and William Blount comes to town for Senior Night... going to say good bye to a fine group of players
Great group of seniors. Hope we can get a big lead and get the starters out early since this will be the last chance to get the younger kids some Friday night reps.

Get the win Bears.... Region games from here on out.
Gotta win these next 2 weeks to guarantee at least one home playoff game. GO BEARS!!!!

Hopefully the first half last week woke them up and they realize you cant cruise to any win. If Bradley comes to play this should be in the mercy rule by middle of the 3rd.

I agree. Don't let off the throttle this week let all these new guys play for a while to get some confidence. They are gonna need it the next few weeks.
