True. But see I played the what "if". Spfd beat GHS and GHS beat WH. How do the BDP get a 1 seed losing to a team that lost to a team that you beat.....3 way tie..... in that case GHS should be a 2 seed since they would be 8-2 and SHS 7-3. What would these jokers (tssaa) do if all 3 teams were 8-2 (5-1)? Beating each other.... how would they seed that?

Second tie breaker is games against opponents with winning records which I think is the same for Greenbrier and Springfield. Next is wins against teams with winning records and I believe that goes to Greenbrier with its win over Cheatham out of region. Giving Greenbrier number 1 WH number 2 because of head to head over Springfield.

It might stop at 2 since WH has less and give Springfield number 1 with a win over Greenbrier.

Somebody  correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thats the what if game.

If their is a 3 way tie they should crunch the scores between those 3 schools imo. Non region games should not count bc some schools play better teams and others don't

WH non region teams are 8-24

SHS and GHS teams are 19-13 at this pt. Huge difference and should not determine who wins tie breaker. Like I said....IF their is a 3 way tie

Good analysis ther and research, can you find for me White House's record against Springfield this year?

Check that... three 5A teams and a 6A team.

In Springfields defense, that was against an 8-0 5A team that's ranked 1 in the state (again without three of their top players). Those players weren't 49 points difference, but it would have been slightly different. I guess I do give props to a 4A team that schedules two 5A teams and a 6A team. Playing better competition gets you more prepared for the playoffs. At the same time, I don't blame WH for scheduling the way they did. Coming off of an 0-10 season, I would have too.

Somebody let Greenbrier and the rest of 4A football not to line up against Springfield the rest of the year, they got the Avengers healthy and dressed out and play a tough non region schedule. Let's agree the White House loss doesn't count since it wasn't fair they had players out.

I have no dog in the fight, I just tend to agree that the tiebreaker rules lend to teams scheduling easier teams. I personally think White House is overrated, with an inflated record. It will bite them in the tail soon enough.

I can agree with your stance on the tie breaker rule. Doesn't matter if you win all your region games though.

I can see the benefit in getting beat 42-0 and 49-0 like Greenbrier and Springfield did in non region play, props to them.

They lost without a couple key players. Regardless the point is, Springfield had a much more difficult nonregion schedule and it could very well cost them the region championship.

White House lost its best WR to a broken leg that night and their starting TB didn't play offense. Injuries happen to everyone. Point is, losing a region game cost you the region not your non region schedule.
