It's do or die time Cats. This city (I know I am) is starved for another state championship. Today if we win we will be 1 step closer to that possibly happening. Lay it all on the line for the Ridge today!
I hope the city shows up, I'll be there!

Wildcat cheering on the Dragons! Beat the Trojans!
Come back and give us another good game (that is if we can get past Rhea county). -
I remember that game, they brought so many folks they were sitting on the home side and there must have been no camo gear left at the Wal-Mart in Rhea County.

If you cannot make it to "The Ship" tonight for the 7:00 kickoff you can watch it on TV!!!

The pep rally tonight is only going to be the cheerleading team.

Need all Wildcat fans to show up Thurs.Big props to the fans for good crowds at all the home games this yr.The game is much better in person than on tv.If Oak Ridge can get too the QB they have a shot.Having TJ back could be huge cause he was in Powells backfield all night and being held like crazy.Lets hope Herbert got all that craziness out of his system,I think he is a beast so I wouldn't trade him for anybody. He will never backdown or give up.Gonna be hard to score on Fulton with our Oline so a TD from the D or STs would be huge.RWR
I was talking to Johnny Stewart (last year's quarterback) at the Campbell County game and I asked him about Herbert, #13...Johny said and I quote... "Herb is a magician".

It's homecoming!
We have been away from The Ship for 5 to 6 weeks.
It's time to finish the next 6 at home and the last one in Cookeville!
Powell's players and student section are taunting our players on Twitter.
It's time to the pack THE SHIP! Come on Wildcat fans, let's go!
Let's be super loud when Powell has the ball!
I am wearing cardinal and grey today and can wear my orange tomorrow.
Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!
ROLL WILDCATS ROLL! -
I am wearing cardinal and grey, are you?
Clinton has nothing and the Wildcats will roll tonight!
-
I have my Cardinal and Grey on today! and the weather is looking better!
Let's Roll Wildcats Roll!!! and beat the Beavers.

As a past band parent and a current cheer parent, I hate...no loathe stadiums that do not have a visitor's side stand (I am talking to you Campbell County and Anderson County). We have had issues with student sections and fans at both. So, no to Anderson County, bring on Maryville.

The Wildcat Cheerleader support team (us cheer parents) will be at the game tonight.
Roll Wildcats Roll! Beat the Rebels!

I am so happy Wiley the Wildcat is getting an update this season. Great work to the people responsible. I honestly believe Wiley should be in the Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame. I just don't know how to present this to the voting committee without sounding stupid.
Maybe some people have noticed but I have been known as some version of WillieThe Wildcat on all of the various CoachT Message Boards for over 20 years. I took that name to honor Wiley. This explains why my many posts are childish, serious or informative. I am just playing a character.
I will be coming home to Oak Ridge this Friday for the game and if you want to meet let me know. I plan on sitting on the lower right end of the Visitor side so I can look across the field and take in the many traditions of Wildcat football like the stairs and RR X s. My old spot for many many years was standing under the press box where the visiting team came out of their locker room. You can see the whole field from that spot.
RWR!
I will look for you, I am a cheer parent so we are usually on the lower level right in front of the cheer team.

Okay, I had to stay out of the DB vs Oak Ridge thread...tired of DB folks talking about how bad their team is and they cannot admit that Oak Ridge is looking good this year and we beat them solid.
Plus, their band the DB band did not perform at half time...but the Wild Band sounded great! In another topic, has anybody noticed we have a new Wiley this year? The "friend" of the Wiley did an incredible job fund raising (thank you Oak Ridge supporters) to replace the old worn out mascot costume. They are also doing a great job as our Wildcat!
-
Don't sell our Wildband short, just because DB puts the whole student body on the field does not mean they can all actually play. The Wildband has worked hard the past few weeks to get the football show (entertaining for the crowd, Led Zepplin!) and the competition show (boring for the crowd like whatever that was that HVA did last Friday).
Oh...
OR 21 DB 14 -
HVA had their new scoreboard up and running and it looks very nice.
The OR Wildcats were happy to put the first score on it and keep that home side to 0 until the last few seconds. -
Pep rally this evening at Zaxby's and Secret City Jeep, come out and see the team, coaches, band and cheerleaders!
-
Looking forward to Thursday night, I am a cheer parent but really enjoy watching these young men mature and improve their skills every year! You can thank our sponsors and Cheer dads this year for the fresh set of cat tracks from the high school to the stadium.
Make sure to follow the ORHS cheerleaders on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
They did a meet the team daily post the past few days even including a bio on Wiley!

Can't spend taxpayers money on football fields, gotta put in rowing lanes and pave the roads for the bicyclists. Just guessing.
Hey my daily drive is a lot smoother due to those paved roads.

The 2017 season finished with most people feeling like the Cats had a very good year with progress made as the season went along. The defense was showered with lots of deserving praise, the OL/DL made improvement, the offense displayed moments of effectiveness and many good athletes stepped up and shined. Another bright spot was the undefeated Freshmen team full of all types of players. Great athletes and much needed linemen. All in all, a successful 2017, 10 - 3 Region Champions and quarterfinal team.
What are you opinions on the upcoming 2018 season? Will Blankenship get the necessary work done to its facilities? Basically, all areas of the football team is up for discussion.
Roll Wildcats Roll!
Since last Friday was our last game at home...win or lose, I was hoping to see a construction army waiting for everyone to leave and get started. So the turf is funded and the stadium refurb is not? Will they put the turf down without the refurb money being secured? Looking at the plans and the amount of folks that showed up for 3 regional playoff games maybe 20,000 capacity is little extreme.

Got my Maroon and Grey on and taking our Wildcat Cheerleader to The Ship to welcome the players for the walk of champions! Let's #packtheship!
I sit in the lower deck in front of the cheerleaders, just yell for Jeffyt! or wait just Roll, Wildcats, Roll!
