Lenoir City comes to Blankenship for Homecoming with a 1-3 record after losing to Stone Memorial (4-0), Campbell County (3-1), and Loudon (2-2). They beat a very bad Cumberland County (0-4). What are your thoughts about this game?

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time to move on. We will blow out Lenoir City and everyone will be happy again, just like all of you were after South Doyle!

Everyone remembers one of the few games that Clinton defeated us. This just isn't the year. The hype is always the same and I truly believe our players will pull this out. This will not be a repeat and they will not be taking our goal post down.
Not happening! OR will destroy the Clinton PRETENDERS!

Can you imagine the looks you would get at a red light not in East TN if someone saw that big face on your back window?
Now that would be hilarious!

OR has the worst QB in the region though & that’s going to be the downfall that’s why 10-0 prediction is mind boggling
Have you seen the QBs from Lenoir City and Campbell County? If so, when did you see them and if not, how can you make such a statement?

Oak Ridge 28 - Bearden 7

No contest! OR will win big! New coach was MUCH NEEDED! New staff was MUCH NEEDED! Many returning players will pay dividends! South Doyle lost heavily to graduation and that will help too! The Cummings Era will kick off with a loud BANG!

My ranking is the following after watching my boys in the 5 star prep jamboree on facebook.
Anderson County
Clinton
Oak Ridge
Really Clinton and Oak Ridge are tied in my opinion. I give Clinton the edge because they have been destroyed for years and luck is bound to fall their way. I just don't believe in this guy that replaced a legend at Oak Ridge.
Anderson County looked good almost better then Greeneville. Would really like to see them play Clinton and Oak Ridge in season next year.
OR is easily the best team in Anderson County. This appears to be the worst AC team in years. Clinton will be 2-0 because of their patsy schedule and OR will destroy them when they come to the Ship. AC better be glad they don't play OR this year. This OR team is short on linemen but is also loaded with talent. OR is the best team in Anderson County but neither of the other two teams are very good.

That’s the big question mark. But what else is new? I can guarantee one thing though. Whoever they (linemen) end up being, they will have at least hit the weights, be coached up good, and play with more of an edge than they have the past 10 or so years. Excluding a few select seasons, Gaddis’ lines were as soft as the pillsbury doughboy.
I agree!

Well, the usuals like Mairvul and Alcoa, of course. And of course Powell and West should be top notch in 5A, with possibly OR being a dark horse candidate. If we can find some linemen on both sides, I think we’ll surprise some folks. That’s a big IF at this point in time though.
I believe that Powell has to be the favorite but this is the most talented OR team I've seen since 2005. I can't believe Gaddis walked away from this team but I'm glad that he did. We have a coach now who has energy, who beat Fulton worse than I've ever seen them beaten, and I think will surprise the fans tonight with a very competitive scrimmage against Maryville. So good riddance Gaddis, you should've left years ago, and welcome Cummings!

That's great news!

I just thought this was a place to exchange ideas about programs in our area? Not trying to be negative. I guess when it comes to OR we can only discuss the positive things?
Now that's funny too! The OR thread just might be the most negative thread on all of Coacht with the possible exception of Kingsport DB

They are doing the show. Cummings already did one. But YB yall need to get the military man over there to do him a show. He's great on radio and TV. He has three favorite recurring topics 1. scheduling cupcakes 2. actively talking recruiting over the airwaves and 3. Clinton was the better team on both nights of his first two losses to Oak Ridge, despite the combined scores being 63-14.
Hilarious!

I’d be there if I didn’t have my boy. He wants to do other things. I’ll be tuning in though. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
I'm with you. Greeneville's average score through seven games is 54-9

Powell 35 - OR 14

OR has the worst offense in OR history, therefore, Farragut 35 - OR 7
-
Clinton 14-OR 7

I expect on tonights show that Coach Bonk will tell us how good SD was (and they are a good team), and how good Bearden is. And I hope he will tell us what they are going to get this o-line to improve. This line has a looooooong way to go to block the better D-lines we have coming up on the schedule.
Bearden will have a very hard time scoring this season. Lost their starting qb to West. Last year's 3rd string qb for West is now the starter at Bearden.
I agree that SD is good. No idea about Bearden although the score of the West game doesn't make it seem like they're very good

LOL!!! To what do I owe this distinct honor? I'm looking forward to the Coach's show tonight to hear his comments on the South Doyle game and his thoughts on Bearden

Still a good win for a team that won 1 game all of last season alone. I give them credit where due.
What I find very interesting is that you give Clinton "credit where due" for beating a traditionally weak team, you bash your own OR team for barely losing to a very good team, and you even bash OR for not being good enough last year. Are you a dragon or a Wildcat? As I said on the other thread, bash the OR coaches all you want, sometimes they need it and it makes us feel better to bash them. I just find it odd that you choose to publicly praise the Clinton for beating a bad team, bash the OR coaches for losing to a good team, and then even bash them for an 11-4 season that ended in the championship game.

I think we must have a misunderstanding. There a two Noles here now. I don't recall bashing any coaches. I thought they did a fine job to keep the game close. I liked the offensive play calling. I always love Miner's defense. The kids did not execute.
Some my have issue with the preparedness of the offensive live, but I never said a word. I'll go back and look at all my posts just to make sure.
A while back I did comment on people bashing the last OC, because I know who else has called a ton of plays over the years.
RWR
So it's Gaddis you have a problem with (I assume he's the only other guy who would be involved in play calling). Did he mistreat your son, do you just not like him, or is he just a bad play caller? Or maybe I'm just confused between you and the other Nole. It's not a big deal anyway, because the coaches need bashing from time to time.
