Forrest had 2 penalties that nullified long TD passes right before the half with the score tied at 14. Both were correct calls.

Officials were very generous with low passes. Forrest benefitted from 2 and Waverly 1. I havent seen a replay of any of them but they all looked to have bounced. The ref crew was very experienced (old) and werent great but they didnt affect the outcome. Last year's Chattanooga crew on the other hand absolutely changed the outcome of the quarterfinal game.

Maybe you seen something we didn’t on the first pass interference but there was absolutely no touching going down the field. Shoot our CB was 3 steps behind the WR. Maybe it should have been Offensive pass interference. If that terrible call wasn’t made I really think we go down and score again and put Forrest out of their misery.

For the 2nd year in a row Forrest got a "bad call" from the officials....The bogus "Illegal man downfield" this was unbelievable. The #TSSAA needs to get officials who know the rules of the game! Here's the video of that play....https://tennesseesportsnet.com/forrest-loses-2nd-round-2a-playoff-to-waverly-another-bad-call-from-refs/

Your seriously going to complain about a bad call? Forrests first touchdown came after probably the worst 4th down fixing to open the game up butt whoopin pass interference call of the year. If that flag isn’t thrown nor should it have been, we would have gone up 3 TD’s and basically putting the game in coast mode. That call kept y’all above water til halftime and yes you capitalized.

So you didn't play Fairview and East.  Both with a winning records.  I just feel Riverside is the better team.  Does Broadway call the offense?  He scored a lot of points with a bad team in Dickson.  Good news is this is why we get to play and find out.  No, I'm not affiliated with McEwen but I do like orange juice. Covid isn't a good excuse because it has hit everyone.  I don't think anyone had a preseason.

We would have spanked East and would have ran with Fairview. Unfortunately we tend to play up or down depending on our opponent. I’m sure you know about that. East’s coach ran from Waverly hoping for a first round home game. He hasn’t beaten anyone with a pulse. Btw. You never answered my question on the East Hickman thread. What would Gary Harris have done? I bet he wouldn’t have ran like a big sandy vag!

I have been saying for a while now that if Waverly doesn’t win they would end up in third but getting a lot of push back.

Regional games should have trumped any other games. If a regional game couldn’t have been played because of covid then they should have made it up by canceling a non regional game. I don’t know what the TSSAA was thinking! East Hickman straight up dodged Waverly by using covid to their advantage.

I will say that I agree with you on the regional games trumping non-region game.

I’m not sure how CoachT is coming up with the playoff scenarios, but by the TSSAA records we don’t have any regional losses. CoachT records have us with 1 region loss. I sure hope the TSSAA knows what they are doing!

Riverside is going to try and stretch out our defense and give #20 the ball up the middle for that one on one match up with the linebackers and then bring the formation in tight and try to get to the outside. I don’t see them throwing deep on us but they will try those short hitch routes and slants.

I think Riverside defense is very acceptable to those crossing routes. Adamsville ate them up like that but penalties killed the Ville.

I think Dooley, Elliott, Houston is going to be a hard match up for Riverside. Dooley is big and strong can throw the ball and use his legs very well. Houston is a very big power back with speed and Elliott is a very talented sophomore with tons of speed. If the play calling is right I really like our chances. If Waverly doesn’t mix up the play calling and plays undisciplined football it will be a long ride back across the river!

Boo Stanfield is a matchup problem for any team!

After drawing all of these schools up on a map and making each side (east/west) have equal teams this is what I came up with. Pick it a part and let me know what you all think.

    Hampton

    Happy Valley

    South Greene

    Cumberland Gap

    Oneida

    Rockwood

    Region 2

    Meigs County

    Tellico Plains

    Polk County

    Tyner

    Marion County

    Region 3

    York

    Monterey

    Jackson County

    Watertown

    Westmoreland

    Trousdale County

    Region 4

    Cascade

    Forrest

    East Robertson

    Harpeth

    East Hickman

    Hickman County
    Region 5

    Mt. Pleasant

    Richland

    Summertown

    Lewis County

    Loretto

    Riverside

    Scotts Hill

    Region 6

    Houston County

    Gibson County

    Westview

I don’t think anyone out of Region 4 or 5 will ever make it out of the first definitely not second round. If this is how the regions will be.

I think if we lose we will be 3rd seed

I think if we are healthy, we are a really good team. It’s been a while since the whole team has played together. Hopefully by the Riverside game we will have everyone back! Then we definitely have a shot!

So many ppl doubting Waverly. It’s funny to me. This Waverly team is special.

The first half of the season has literally been an anything goes no hold bar. You can’t really speak for the first half of the season. You have to remind yourselves that there was no spring practice, no preseason, no 7 on 7, no scrimmages. None! Everyone is just starting to settle in this far in the season.

Unfortunately for Waverly they have not had the opportunity to showcase themselves because they have had 3 games cancelled due to Covid.

Waverly is a good team. You will see them build momentum the last part of this season. And all I have to say is watch out! They will speak for themselves over the next several weeks.

I still stand firm that this is a semi final team.

I like it! And the best part... This really is a young team. It’s exciting!

I think East Hickman is claiming they aren’t prepared to play tomorrow, that we moved on since they wouldn’t play us Saturday.

Waverly was told beginning of week they couldn’t play Friday, then was told yesterday by health department they were cleared.

Bottom line is East Hickman doesn’t want to play and gave their reasoning to TSSAA so TSSAA agreed for East Hickman not to play, get the Region W, and Waverly get a no contest. I believe Waverly is fighting TSSAA decision. Because Waverly was misinformed.

Not quite he it happened as far as being released. As of last week we were quarantined. A phone conference with the state took place yesterday and we were told we were being released Thursday. The decision wasn’t from the school board, superintendent, football coach, fans or anyone else inside the football program. The decision was from the state. Not our football teams fault. They are being penalized by a huge wet sandy vag in East Hickman! He’s a disgrace to the coaching world!

You must be on the staff at Waverly since you know so much about it.  I know this is the second half of the season and dates are slim.  I just don't think you know all the facts.  You guys still have to beat Riverside, so I wouldn't be polishing your district rings just yet.

I’m pretty sure Gary Harris would have played us! He would have nutted up! What do you think he would have done?

Dude he is from McEwen. McEwen is  the Indian word for special Ed.

Omg! I’ve already said I’d of what your saying. McEwen claim to fame is beating Waverly last year. We were an average team without a QB. The Wills brother’s didn’t run wild on our average defense either. Nothing against that senior group last year! I love each one of them! But they payed unfortunately without a QB. And the QB won Region MVP! Lol Congratulations McEwen Todd’s! You beat Waverly in 2019! Now go win your region make a run in the playoffs and get those fat lineman new haircuts!

Bro- You might be faster than me personally, but your team speed is under average at best. Ours is also, but not to the degree we would be depending on scheduling our game because of it. The good news is we should be getting a speedster back in a couple of weeks.

Tells me you don’t have a clue. Speed isn’t what beat us or lack there of. If you were at the game you would know your d-line plus Lbs., just plain whipped our tails. Then y’all just work the ball down the field and scored. I will say y’all had one breakout run. One pass that was completed on a busted coverage by a freshman and sophomore. Anyway good luck the rest of the year!
