After talking to a few coaches who know both teams, the prediction is in the majority for Pal to defeat Rhea, They don't think Rhea can defend the Pal Passing Game and they don't think Rhea will be successful trying to control the ball. They say they would like to see Rhea win, but don't think its happening,

Bad as I hate to say................I think you are right. But, a loss would be a lot easier to take if it wasn't for Powell's suspect past. Can't help but wonder................

  2. I think if RC has even remotely a shot at this game it might fall on the shoulders of the QB. There are things he can do with both his arm and his feet that he hasn't been called on much to do this year. I guess we will just get on the bus, go and play. I was hoping for two rounds in the playoffs..................anything else would be gravy.      GO EAGLES!!

I wouldn't put this year's Elizabethton team in the same sentence with Alcoa. Greeneville,  yes, but not Elizabethton.

And that particular poster has very close ties to this Powell team, so it's not surprising that he sees things a bit biased.

Powell has the talent to compete on that level, but until they learn to play with more discipline they aren't there.

Funny, the only time I hear anything about Powell down here in Rhea County is when they are accused of recruiting another teams players or some other cheating stories.........allegedly of course.   :)

Davis sounds like a solid back! I think I saw on the tweeter where Potts (Powell’s QB) had 342 yards passing last night with 5 tds. Nolen on the DL has 7 tackles, 5 for loss, and 3 sacks. Should be an interesting game IMO. Looking forward to it!

That doesn't bode well for us. I'm mad at Nolen for not picking Michigan  lol. Maybe Ethan can run by him before he gets going. I will be happy if we can avoid a running clock.    GO EAGLES!!

  5. Ethan Davis had 359 yards rushing last night and 5 td's. I hope he saved some for Powell. We are going to miss our talented fb (out for the year). Qb will play a big part in RC's chances here. He's going to have to mix it up a little with some run/pass option plays to take a little off of Davis. Our pass defense is the weakest part of the team by far. Not much I can say but we will need some help from above to stop them,   LOL    as always   GO EAGLES!!

This will be a tough week for the Beavers, unfortunately. Mr. Football will have a tough time putting up the numbers that he has with limited possessions due to Rhea County's offensive attack. Karns has struggled to get off the field on defense the past four weeks allowing an average of 36ppg the past four weeks. I have Rhea County as my dark horse representative for the East in Chatt in December. Rhea County by 21.

I have a feeling that Mr. Davis will outplay Mr. Football.    Go Eagles!

I like how Ethan Davis finished the regular season and I hope we get 5 more performances just like them in the playoffs. In the last two games he rushed for 284 and 252 and 9 rushing TDs  plus the 96 yds receiving with a TD for 10 total.

Campbell is coming off a loss to Oak Ridge but have had a pretty good season. CJ Allen is a very good running back, that seems like he has been at Campbell for 6 years now. The last time Rhea played Campbell was a 35-0 playoff win back in 2015. Is like to see another win just like it.

We have sure been riding Davis since LA went down. Hopefully he stays healthy throughout the playoffs. I believe I would run Martin a little more on designed plays.     Go Eagles!!
