Well fellas I'm headed down to work the storm. I'll miss one of the best games all year. Pretty evenly matched football teams, imo. I'll say this if the Whitwell head coach pisses down his leg again and steers away from what has won him ball games all season they will have serious issues like last year. I don't know the kids name but the back they had last year #22 should have been rode like a horse in both games. Poor coaching! I witnessed #31 lay down, he is nowhere near the back #22 was and #3 for this year. I'm from Sequatchie, what do I know right? Can't wait to hear the outcome!
Pirates-21
Tigers-14
Coaching will be the difference in this one, edge goes to Grider.

I’ll say Whitwell gained my respect tonight. Great win at a hostile environment. The mental block would be the only thing holding you guys back next week against the Pirates. How many years has it been since Whitwell beat South Pittsburg?

No doubt meigs would beat whitwell by 3 scores or more
TC beats Whitwell by 3 scores. DC being dismissed is going to hurt them more than people think. He was actually pretty stinking good.

I agree
You should.

Whitwell gets blown out, I'm calling it now!
WHS- 13
TC - 42

DC for the Tigers will be absent I do believe, I think it could hurt the team in more than 1 way. I’m going to pick TC to win simply cause of home field advantage and the distractions Whitwell players have dealt with this past week with their DC.
Btw can someone tell me how long Coach Cooley is on leave?

I am so lost on this post. Can someone update?
I was told he was involved in a domestic violence incident.

Maybe their concern should be finding a defensive coordinator. More off the field incidents like last year. I'd say this will be a huge lost and huge set back. My Sequatchie boys could probably beat the mighty tigers now.

Getting out coached happens to everyone. Has even happened to Vic some. You make adjustments and move on. They won the rematch convincingly. Congrats to them.
It's gonna happen again this year too. Mark my words!

We might not have as many kids but statistically we are better. Actually a lot better
We will see down the stretch.

Victory isn't in the Hall of Fame yet. It's Don Grider that is in.
Okay, but he will be!

Good question

Sheeeeesh get em
Once again it's all fun and games till SP shows up, oh and TC. Can't wait till they both knock y'all off that high horse.

Haha! We will see. You said Signal would keep it close and you will be wrong about the PC score as well. You want to bring up coaching? How is Sequatchie worse after bringing back all that talent?
We had a good coach and they let him go. It simply shows what coaching can do. Sequatchie coaching staff is garbage, bottom line! Why did SP beat y'all twice last year? Vic Grider isn't in the High School Hall of Fame for no reason. He made all them young buck coaches look like little league coaches. Trust me coaching makes a huge difference, I've been around a lot of good ones in my time. Just my opinion on coaching.

Yes, but that was kinda the perfect storm that night as well. They lost their best DL a few weeks before and then their best LB got ejected from the game. Whitwell is better this season than in 2017 according to most folks as well.
Nope I disagree. You will see. Also Whitwell will get out coached once again. I guess since they made my Indians look stupid in the jamboree and beating Signal they're better this year? They will lose back to back weeks! TC and SP will beat them mark my word!

Whitwell by mercy! I'm thinking Whitwell will represent the east!
They had their best chance to beat SP last year not once but twice, maybe you Whitwell fans need to worry about SP before you think about beating greenback to represent the east!

I'm going with Bledsoe. Sequatchie is so soft. Wonder if they miss the Caine man yet?? He is making noise in his 1st year at Upperman!
-
At the beginning of the year this was my pick for a huge upset. With the injuries Polk acquired Friday not sure if it will happen. In the next 3 weeks Whitwell could easily receive 2 L's. I'll take Whitwell by 14. Polk will keep it close for 3 quarters!
-
Got back in town just in time. Line work is tough boys in case y'all was curious. I'm debating on who to go watch... Whitwell vs Signal or SP vs Marion?? Cause I know my Indians can't match up to them Tigers from Meigs. But anyways....
Whitwell-35
Signal-28
i think Whitwell pass D has trouble tonight.

Whitwell by a bunch again. The following week on the mountain just may give them the first L for the season.

Polk and SM was supposed to be games last year. We are better than we was last year. I see same result or worse
I disagree. Based off jamboree I noticed y'all had nowhere near the players as last year. When you start playing good teams the depth will hurt y'all. Okay I'll give y'all Polk BUT Trousdale and SP will beat you guys with ease.

Still with same schedule only losses I see are TC and SP. Polk will be better and SM will graduate a lot after this year, but Whitwell would be better up front and that makes the difference. I said 2020 would be the rough year Bass. Lots of Sophomores will be on the field. Still have some weapons next year on offense. Defense will struggle some but a good DL makes up for lacking on the backend.
Tiger I believe Polk, Trousdale, and SP gives you guys good games this year. Could possibly have 3 L's on the board this year depending on how y'all play. Just being honest with you.

Squatch by about 4 scores. Just got out of a meeting with coach, and the gameplan is solid. I wish the plan to keep all the loudmouth parents in the stands quiet was as solid...
I'm diehard Sequatchie, always will be, but they need to do some serious soul searching. The parents should be the least of yalls worries and learn how to play smash mouth football again. I'm very disappointed in Sequatchie County Football.
1A semi final Greenback @ Whitwell
in Class 1A & Class 2A

Coaching could be a factor is this game. Raw talent won the game for Whitwell last week, I’ve never seen so many bone headed coaching decisions in my life.
But maybe not, Greenback is similar to Alcoa in 3A, dominate in 1A. Whitwell will probably just get beat in all aspects.
P.S.... Us fans in Sequatchie just about despise Alcoa. Whitwell hits brick wall in semifinals like Sequatchie did in 2016.
