Just think, If I didn't stop in and liven the place up who would. Look what's happened to the WB thread since they ask me to stop going in and hurting people's feelings down there. Nobody looks at it anymore.

Your welcome anytime barn! Just be able to take what you dish out & you’ll be fine!

Conservative has won you four straight gold balls correct??  I wish my team would go conservative like that. Lol!!

Agree bpm, but it got them beat in 2014. Don’t understand going away from what you’ve done all year then lay back. But hey, hats off to Gary rankin & his staff!

In the past, a great QB would not consider playing is Alcoa Offensive system. But, over the last three to four years, Alcoa has really opened up the offense and started throwing the ball much more. In the past, Maryville only had to really cover the running game when playing us. Like, last year if we throw the ball well, I think we can win again.

I totally agree. Maryville WILL NOT come in & run over  Alcoa. Those who think so don’t know football. They came in last year with that mind set & ran into a group of men, however, I think this game goes into the 4th qtr! Alcoa with the win!

My thoughts on the future success of Alcoa is very good. If Alcoa can win this year, I really think we got a good chance to win again next year.

Alcoa's Middle school is undefeated, and I think Maryville has lost several games? Plus, Maryville and the other Blount County schools will not play them?

Also, the freshman QB, Lunsford looked amazing against Knox Central and Oak Ridge in big JV game wins.

Agree! Great jv outings, middle school is solid!

Don't worry it will all come back around. That attrition is starting to show up just a little bit over there. You'll see that tuition start to go up to help offset the cost of that failing development off Hunt Road and those Heritage kids will one by one go back home. Might take a few short years but the wheels are starting to roll.

Says the man that can’t drive a nail straight! The wheels are starting to roll barn, guess that’s why you got a qb @ kee nation working his magic!??? Just sayin!

Alcoa can beat Maryville to the end of time but all I care is they didn't win the three years before I got to the high school, the three years I was in high school and nine years after I got out of high school. Fifteen straight and glad to be an ex Rebel that was a part of that string.

    You not graduate barn?

My prediction is Maryville 42 Alcoa 14. After the game we'll hear you wouldn't beat us if you didn't have our players. Which we'll yell right back" they left because they hated your coach". You'll yell we're just a little ole 3A school. We'll yell back but your playing with half of the boy's that should be playing for Heritage and half a dozen that live in Knoxville and Seymour. You'll yell our younger ones coming up are superstars. We'll yell back because their all shaving and driving cars to school in the 8th grade.

One thing I have appreciated Central doing the last few years is scheduling Alcoa & Maryville for scrimmages.  Either for full team scrimmages, or 7 on 7.....I think it has definitely helped all teams to scrimmage against quality competition, and consistent state title contenders.

Edit to add:  They have also scrimmage Farragut as well.  Coach Courtney continues to do great things with the Admirals

I agree, it helps in many different areas of the game. Congratulations on the win!!!
