    Of course, you have to give great rspect to the defensive scheme and the aggressiveness of Upperman’s D-Line and LB corps. They executed very well And gave our boys all they wanted. 

    Bottom line: all good things begin and end with the quality of play from the front five. Our OL need to trash their early season press clippings, execute a  technique refresh, and find the early season success once enjoyed. 

     

    Yes sir#!!!!# I've said it ever since that mag 7 billboard went up!! They have gone South from there. No time for that. If RR had of been coaching that o line we wouldn't be talking about this right now! Sorry just know he's the best o line coach AHS has ever had. Anybody want to challenge that?? Ask the 2009/2010 o line!!!!!

Don't guess your victory over Maryville looks to good now does it since they got killed tonight. Blount County should have been 0-3 on the night tonight with 0 State Championship appearances and we just couldn't have that. 34th in the Country I don't think so!! Good luck next week! You won't need it though if the same refs show up!

Glad we kept the game at the Hive because our seniors deserved to play one last game on their home field with their home crowd. We play a lot of teams every year and I want to thank you for being great and respectful fans. Have a safe trip back to East Tennessee and we will be there cheering for you at Tech next week. My son’s a junior, so hoping we get far enough to meet you in Alcoa next year.  Nobody was giving our kids a shot before the game - a lot didn’t even think we’d score. We are going home with a loss tonight, but I wouldn’t be any prouder of that group of kids if they’d won by three touchdowns. When a group of country boys from Baxter step on the field with Alcoa and give it all every play all night long, they have earned my respect.  I had two kids on the 2013 team - great group who’ve done well in life since leaving Upperman. I am sure these seniors will do the same. 

    Nothing at all to be ashamed of,great game, those boys played their heart out.
