Any thoughts after the first few weeks?
Eagleville had a good showing in the Single A Classic this past week. Close competitive games. Eagleville lost to Gibson Co 6-7 but beat both Huntingdon & Loretto on Friday by one point.
I believe if they keep improving they will be playing at the end of May!

All but one of our players has been here since elementary school
You were defending that your team had been at CA since elementary I was simply stating this was incorrect and called out 3 players who moved there within the last 2 years.
As far as “proof” no. I don’t have documentation of this.
The definition of recruit according to Webster’s dictionary is “ to bring in new members.” That is how I was using the term recruit.
Everyone knows this happens. It is not the first time this has been discussed. Like I said next year this activity can be open and no longer denied. Won’t that be a relief ????
CA is a good team. Very good. They won! They should be good with the talent they have from at least 3 counties of all stars. They beat us once in regular season and we beat them once when just one of the said players was out.
My point is they won and competed in a public school state championship with players who aren’t from Maury Co against schools that are AT LEAST from the same county !

Oh yes I forgot Eli came here for high school. But still you get the point.
Actually #1 - the Ham kid also lives in Marshall Co who moved to CA 2 years ago.
So you take the Giles Co kid #23, the Santa Fe kid #21 and the Marshall Co kid who are starters and were recruited to come to your school and you have a whole different team. So don’t act like they have been there all along. And that is just the 3 kids I know about. Could be more ??
The good news is next year you won’t have to hide it. You can openly recruit.

Eagleville Eagles (28-3) will be playing the Cosby Eagles (24-8).
Who wins and why? Don't know much about Cosby.

Clay County will be the loudest gym you’ve ever played in I can promise you that. Clay County will be very tough to beat at home.
I don’t know about it being the loudest gym they’ve ever been in. Did you go to the girls game tonight ( Clay co vs Eagleville)?? If so, you heard how loud Eagleville fans can be so Fayetteville has been in a loud gym before! They will be fine.

Eagleville in State. Maybe 6-A wasn't as great as we were led to believe. Great win!
This Eagleville gym was rockin’!!! Great job Lady Eagles

Eagles played hard and didn’t give up . It is never easy beating a team 3 times. And it wasn’t easy !! Much respect for the Fayetteville Tigers. They are a very good team with a lot of talent. I wish you luck when you travel to Clay Co. Go represent district 8A well ! I would love to see us both go to state !

Yeah not a lot of competition over that way for you guys. I don’t know which district is weaker 5A or 7A. I’m going with 5A this year.
what I can tell from looking at their records (7A) they are very inconsistent.

Cascade lost to Lead Academy in OT 79-74.
Eagleville won 75-57 over Republic

Halftime Eagleville 33 - Republic 22

So how many win in first round from 8-A?
I believe it will be an 8A sweep. Lead could be the only team that could keep this from happening. Depends on how well Cascade plays. The other three match ups will be handled easily by 8A.

The refs have a terrible habit of calling fouls and then staring the kids down to see if they have an emotional reaction, which sometimes results in a technical also. It is terrible. Call the foul and report it to the scorer's table and move on. Quit staring down the kids.

This battle will be huge later to miss CA at substate. I think these teams handle anybody except CA!!
Although CA is very good- Eagleville did beat CA already so it can be done again. However, the winner from Region 3 or 4 will not face CA until state.

They play April 22 &23
I’m not sure what what “more important “ games you are referring to but last meeting eagles won 11-3 & 8-2. Of course that was last year.
Then in district tournament it was eagles over bulldogs 5-1
