Just curious does the new coach have a college degree, I know that was brought up a few times when Ryan applied for jobs.
No he does not. Ryan graduated at ETSU and also has his teaching certificate. He was teaching at GB before he left for Catholic.

Greenback crybaby wagon train has forgotten how Ryan left you high and dry when the talent and big boys graduated. He didn't have time to coach up the boys who played with their heart, blood and soul. Just left them behind to fend for themselves. Then your sorry bandwagon jumped on with Coach E who destroyed the boys spirit.
Shame on every one of you! So you guys want someone to teach our young men to run away when the going gets tough instead of standing staying, working and fighting! You guys should just stay home this fall.
Our boys need people who believe in them not a has been or wanna be! Getta Grip GB cause you are going to be in for a ride! Our boys are strong and our new coaching staff ain't taking anything from anybody. Don't blink, cause if you do, you're going to miss the best football season Greenback has ever had!
You’re a joke! You have no clue what it takes to get any team with or without great athletes to a championship level. And don’t worry we won’t be there or care about your ride! Your Loudon county school board buddies can get you the job but they darn sure can’t get you wins! Getting the last guy fired was the first obstacle and it worked out. Then we got a commissioner threatening to hold funds then bashing coach Ryan’s name to hopefully have a avenue to slide in. All Loudon guys making the decision for a GB head football coach is comical. Worked out good for you though. William Blount should have had Robbie Bennett from Heritage make their hire. You’ll find out this fall that stabbing guys in the back don’t go over well at GB. And calling the whole GB fan base crybabies might not be the smartest path to take. There are a few of us that would be happy to have a one on one about what exactly you meant by some of you statements.

Ryan thinks Greenback is the only school out there that will hire him. He blew the interview at Eagleton and he not only wants the football job but also the AD job at Greenback. Just long enough till he can land a job at a bigger school.
You are obviously GB. Let’s us all know who you are. That way we all know who we’re dealing with. Don’t hide just say! Be brave. I believe we all know anyway. Just be careful passing out the threats about funding.

Well Well Well. Looks like it’s leaked out that GB has moved on to its second choice. That would be an assistant from Riverdale. Are you kidding me right now!! This is turning into a joke and we are the laughing stock of TN high school football. I feel sorry for a couple people in this. First Coach Ryan for the complete disrespect during this process and second the possible new coach from middle TN. What a nightmare situation to walk into. Loudon people hiring for a GB football coach is comical in itself. Like they honestly care if we ever win another football game. I believe they are hanging out new principle out to dry on this one for him to hear it from the community. This should have been easy. A layup if you will. A no brainer!! Just make the hire and let’s get back to winning and filling stands and trucks. But no! What’s truely the motive here? Is it we just need a teacher. That’s not what was told in the interview process. It was told that we were looking for the best football coach. That was a lie. It has to be a lie because the guy that was offered has never been a head coach. Good luck to him. Now the Blount teams get richer with some GB boys. Tragedy.

For most of these coaches Greenback is only a stepping stone for bigger and better school.
Ryan left for bigger school and more money and now he needs a place to restore his chance of getting another job and Greenback would be just temporary.
while he was there he tried to find another job at the end of every season. This isn’t true. He wasn’t even being paid as a teacher for most of the time he was at Greenback and stuck it out. Only the last year they decided to pay him other than a small stipend. Only applied for other jobs the last couple years to play against some better competition. He definitely is a true Greenback guy unlike some other great coaches that’s came before him. I know him well and Greenback would be lucky to get him back. If GB hires him I’m sure he’ll retire from there. If they don’t hire him, yes he’ll find another spot and they’ll be fun to watch. GB must have burned you, you sound like quite the hater.

Yes he’s interested in coming back. Yes obviously would be welcome back with open arms. And yes seems like a no brainer to get him back on the sidelines however possible. Left on great terms just to pursue another opportunity. Everyone hated to see him go a few years ago. Not sure how this hire doesn’t happen. I guess we will see and hopefully soon.

Trust me, he has a teaching certificate. I’m not guessing I’ve seen it in the past. But yeah new coach does not! Barely high school.
